    I can’t update payment method

    For a month now, I'm not able to download some apps. It comes up with an error stating "Verification Required" I then enter my password and it takes me to the "Manage Payments" tab where it says my payment method has failed.. I click on that and re enter my CORRECT details and then it fails.. EVERY TIME. It says that my payment method is declined but I've had the same phone, same card, same Apple ID for years and I know it's valid!! Please help a non tech savvy gal.

    Why can't I show hidden files in finder?

    I recently bought my first Macbook and am not very used to it yet and I've run into a problem.

    I want to move around some hidden files for troubleshooting, but I can't view them

    The first screenshot is me setting the custom folder for audio plugins to the system folder since I found out this was the only way I could view them, so I know they're there. Also, some of them actually do work so there's no doubt that the files are in the right place.

    The second screenshot is me having enabled viewing of hidden files in terminal and the same folder in finder but there's nothing in it.

    I was recommended to move the .vst files that don't work to a separate custom folder and that's where I run into trouble. It's quite hard moving something I can't see.

    Magsafe to Magsafe 2 converter doesn't load peaks out at 70W

    I recently bought an original Magsafe 1 to Magsafe 2 converter for my Macbook Pro Retina 15 2015. While testing it, Istat shows that it peaks out at 70W. The original charger Magsafe 2 is peaking at 83w. I tried a different Magsafe charger with the converter with the same result.

    The original Magsafe 2 has 20V so perhaps the 4A is the current limit of the MBP.

    Has anyone the same problem or is it a reading error from ISTAT? But actually the 4A and 17 = 68Watt so I think this is correct.

    Does anyone has an idea?

    not sure if my airpods pro are authentic.

    what makes me feel so? the charging case battery drains really fast, everything else is as it should be. they are brand new so it shouldnt drop so fast i guess. also the serial number on em is the same as on case but system says something different🥺

    edit: the serial number entered on apple says its trusted. i can see them in find my device and in general in settings.

    Insanely slow write speeds

    I just got a brand new 16inch M1 Max MacBook Pro, attached my LaCie 5Big Thunderbolt 2 drive (using an apple thunderbolt 2 - 3 adapter) and I'm getting write speeds of around 50mb :O! and read speeds of around 300mb...any idea what is going so horribly wrong here? On my late 2015 iMac I'm getting read and write speeds of around 400mb.

    I also think I'll be retiring the 5Big soon and would appreciate peoples suggestions of what enclosures and hard drives work best with my new machine...Ideally Id like at least 20tb storage

    Apple wont respond to my activation lock

    i recently connected my iphone to an apple id i dont own..and it got locked for security reasons..i dont know who owns the account but i cant reset the password..i tried contacting apple through the activation lock process..but every time it gets canceled..i really need help.Thanks in advance!

    Can you force all notifications to watch?

    I have an Apple watch , phone, and laptop. When I walk away from my computer, my notifications often only display on the laptop and/or the phone. Rarely do the text messages or calendar notifications appear on the watch which caused me to miss important messages.

    Apple pen lightning connector broke inside Apple pen cap

    I'll add a picture in the comments but I have a gen 1 Apple pen and the connector randomly broke and got stuck, any tips to get it out and make sure this doesn't happen again? I have an art deadline due soon and any help is appreciated

    I'm trying to put a show that I have on a thumb drive onto my Apple TV app (iPad) but when I plug it in it only goes into the files app and I can't find a way to move it to Apple TV, so I was wondering if there was a way to get it there because the only other way I know is to get it on Apple tv on my Mac and then transfer it to the iPad but I tried that and it took forever cause I had to change the file type with a third party app and then I accidentally deleted the files before I could transfer them

    Air tag scare!!

    My girlfriend got a report on her phone that an air tag was following her. The only air tag we know of is the one I keep in my wallet. We are trying to make sure the air tag following her was mine. When it says "Bring iPhone near airtag" will the process of holding the airtag up to the phone only work with the airtag in question? Or will that process work for any airtag brought up to the phone? If it only works with the airtag that it detected we can be assured that no one is tracking us! Thanks!

    Hello All,

    I am wondering if anyone can recommend the Best Apps on MacBook to save Instagram posts & images & Blog posts from Self-Helpp Motivational Coaches?

    Two of my idols are Dan Millman and Robin Sharma who frequently post enlightening quotes on their Instagram and blogs and I am not sure which MacBook app is most suited to save their thoughts.

    I have Microsoft Word on my MacBook Pro but I am thinking of other options eg. A Journal or Diary type of MacBook App.

    What do you all think?

    Dell B1160w driver for Big Sur 11.6.4

    Finally was able to update the OS to 11.6.4 but I'm unable to install the printer driver from Dell. According to dell, the s/w is good for Mac 10.13.

    When I try to open the dell driver MAC gives the following error?

    "Installer OS X.pkg" can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software.

    any suggestions?

    Private Relay is turned off for “%@” on Mac

    Has anybody found a solution for this error?

    For me private relay seems to have broken when I briefly used TunnelBear VPN earlier today. I got a banner notification saying that Private Relay would be turned off upon connecting using the VPN service, but I've been unable to reenable it since. Even though there's a checkmark next to private relay in the iCloud menu, clicking options reveals that private relay is disabled for my current network. Clicking the button to reenable it does nothing and it's the same for all networks I've tried.

    The solution given in this thread doesn't really work. All it does is remove the error, but it still means private relay is actually disabled:

    To add insult to injury, all of this has also caused the Mail app to stop automatically loading images. Now I have to manually load them for every single email, which is a major ball ache.

    I've since deleted TunnelBear and all the files it's left behind that I could find, removed and readded the WiFi connection in the network settings, tried resetting my network setting by deleting some files according to a guide I found online and of course rebooting the computer.

    Does anybody know how I could go about fixing this? I'm pretty close to just reinstalling the OS, but I'm not even sure this would get fixed by a simple reinstall. It would be massively annoying if it turned out I needed to do a full wipe. I'm running MacOS 12.2.1 on a 2021 MacBook with an M1 Pro.

    Help plz :(
