- To everyone who reported background activity in their battery, iOS 15.3 will be fixing this it seems. I used to always have random apps run in the background when I would charge, messages almost being the #1. It finally stopped last night after some time. Here’s to good news!

| Posted: 22 Jan 2022 12:58 PM PST Case in point: I have the Uber app. I don't use it often, but when I need an Uber, I REALLY need an Uber. Missing a notification would be very bad. So I leave push notifications enabled constantly, rather than risk forgetting to toggle them on each time I need them, and off each time I finish. However, every few weeks Uber loves to send me a push notification that I should totally take a ride somewhere right now. It is ridiculous to me that in order to opt into receiving push notifications for core app functionality, I also have no choice but to opt into their advertising push notifications. We need separate toggles for these, and disabling the ads should break nothing else. [link] [comments] | ||

It defaults to never for me. Had 4 reminders with times today, they've all came up correctly. A 5th that I made last week with just the date (supposed to default to 9am) and there's just nothing. Thing is, I'm going to stay using Google photos at the moment because I'm scared the transition to iCloud would take a lot of time in terms of face grouping, etc. My question is, how do you select photos that are backed up on Google photos when you want to send someone a photo on, let's say WhatsApp? | Posted: 23 Jan 2022 05:02 AM PST I have a work phone and we have quiet hours from 11pm to 6am (mandatory) I'd like to find a function to have any notifications that came up during those quiet hours make a sound as if they were fresh at 6am so I don't have to set an alarm to wake up every day just to check for notifications at 6am if I don't have to when I'd normally wake up at 730 So if say at 3am a notification came in and it silent because of quiet hours, at 6am I don't hear anything but currently have my alarm set to wake me at 6 so I check for notifications from over night, deal with whatever issue was and that's all well and good but then if there are no notifications I try to go back to sleep, if there is a "re alert after quiet hours" function so the alarm wouldn't be necessary and I'd only be woken up if notifications were received that would be so much better, but I haven't found it and I'm hoping there is something like that whether it's a 3rd party app or otherwise! | Posted: 22 Jan 2022 07:25 PM PST Hi guys, I bought my iPhone 13 Pro in December and it has been working fine until Jan, at some point, the WiFi stopped working. Scanning WiFi networks doesn't properly work (it doesn't show networks that I know for sure that are there, i.e. my home network that my Android phone is connected), when I can scan 9 out of 10 times the connection fails and if the connection succeeds then the network is unreliable or there is no data transfer at all. I have tried: - Restore network settings - Restore all settings - Restore iPhone - DFU upgrade to 15.2.1 - Airplane mode. - Toggle WiFi - Disable Bluetooth - Enable/disable Private address or privacy tracking. - Pretty much any other google solution. None of them worked. Beforehand, I have years of working as IT and my knowledge of TCP/IP networks is pretty much deep so disregard any "DNS" or "get close to the router/reboot the router" solutions here. Also, no VPN, please don't insist. For your peace of mind: - It happens in ALL WiFi networks. Some more than others. - It happens being far, close or just next to the router. - It's independent of the type of router. I have reported the issue to Apple but had no contact from them in more than a week. Anyone with the same issue? Any solution? [link] [comments] | ||

Right now it's 0 C (32f) behind my window, car shows -2 C (28.4f) and apple weather app shows -6 C (21.2f). It's often off like that, making it quite useless. Posted: 22 Jan 2022 08:12 PM PST I recently switched over from using a Windows laptop to a Macbook and for the most part have gotten the hang of it, but I have on question wrt syncing Pages on my Mac with my iPad I'm new to using iCloud, and Apple support was not sure how to help me. I type up a lot of documents in Pages and as I save them to my Mac I'd like them to also save in Pages on my iPad so I can have access to them at work. Does that make sense? Going into my iCloud settings on the tablet there's a toggle option for Pages, but there isn't one on my Mac. How do I go about doing this? Many thanks to any help I can get [link] [comments] |
