    PLEASE READ!!! I transferred $450 from my bank account to my Apple Cash and it locked the card, and now I can't figure out how to get my money and whenever I call the number provided it's telling me that their offices are closed. Please help me I just want my money back.

    So I was able to make a Genius Bar appointment. When I got there I told them what was going on. The rep basically stopped me and said "look I'm gonna go ahead and tell you that what you are describing to me is physical damage and not covered. So how about you just let me see the iPad"

    I get it out and she inspects and says "oh, well it seems more like a scratch to me than a crack"

    Me: "I whole disagree with you, that's a crack and it's noticeable-"

    Rep: "listen to me, it's a scratch. If it's a crack then it's physical damage and I'm not going to be able to help you"

    Me, who knows when to shut up: "okay, yes ma'am"

    She then took me inside and within 5 minutes I was walking out with a replacement.

    So, she seemed to believe me that the iPad really did just crack on its own. And it did, I don't have any reason to lie about it here or even make this post. I just hope this helps other folks out if they run in to the same issue.

    I get he feeling though that this is a bit of a known issue, and big Apple is trying to keep it on the low, like they did with the MacBook keyboards, until they started getting sued. However, the reps and techs at the Genius Bar knows it bullshit and are going to try and help folks anyway they can.

    Boyfriend and I both got incoming FaceTime calls from each other at the same time but neither of us placed a call

    I was woken up this morning to both my iPhone 11 and Apple Watch Series 7 going off with an incoming FaceTime call from my boyfriend. When I tried to pick up, it disconnected immediately. I messaged my boyfriend asking why he called, and he said that I was the one who called him.

    We were both incredibly confused and checked our call logs, and both of us have an incoming call from each other at the exact same time (neither of us had an outgoing call in our log), but neither of us actually placed the call.

    Is this a common occurrence/has this ever happened to anyone else? And does anyone know why this happened?

    I'm a freshman nursing student and need an upgrade which I need your opinion! I have a Macbook Air mid-2012, has a really slow RAM, took ages before it successfully searched, and cannot simultaneously use heavy applications without lagging. So, I need an upgrade and thinking if I should buy a new MacBook or an iPad? Which one is worth it?

    Should I update my 2017 iMac to the latest OS?

    I recently bought a second-hand 2017 iMac with 8GB of internal RAM. It is slower than I expected, and after updating from the OS that it automatically installed (High Sierra) to Monterey, it became even slower. I have now gone back to High Sierra but have found that I am now unable to download many apps including HP Smart and Microsoft Excel as these require the later operating systems - is it worth updating or due to the small amount of internal RAM is it inevitably going to be slower when I update?     is the official apple pen really worth the price ?

    i am about to buy an ipad and obviously a pen bc i'll use my ipad mostly to draw and wanted to know if the apple pen was really worth the price because i saw unofficial pens that were way cheaper but i am worried these will not work as well as the official one, so if u could give me advice that would be great!

    Easy way of transferring passwords?

    I can't imagine there's an easy way to do it for security reasons, but if you are leaving your employment where you use a mac with its own AppleID, is there a way of transferring all the passwords safari remembers to your personal phone or account?

    Apple ID password and phone number compromised.

    As the title says someone hacked my Apple ID and changed the password + phone numbers. So now if I try to sign in to my Apple ID my they ask me for my phone number. But since the new numbers are not mine I'm locked out of my Apple ID. I contacted Apple for this matter and they said that my Apple ID cannot be recovered and I need to reset my phone and set up a new ID. For the reseting process they sent me this link https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201441 and click on the "start an Activation Lock support request"

    My question is what is the difference between doing that and reseting my iPhone through settings? I also would like to add that I have not synced anything with my iCloud or added my credit card details so the damage isn't that heavy. I have taken a backup of my data, so if I do activation lock will that lock my previous Apple ID so that the hacker can no longer have access to it? I can still continue using the same iPhone with a new Apple ID right?

    iPhone skipping when playing loud music in a car

    So when I play music through my iPhone in my car, it will sometimes "skip". I tried turning off the option to have Siri listen, but that didn't fix it. Then I thought it was the car, but it does it in both of my other cars. I tried different cables as well, and it still happens.

    I know it has something to do with the volume level, because when I turn the music down it never happens.

    Any advice on how to fix this, or what could be causing it? Thanks!

    Best dock for both Windows Laptop and M1 Pro Macbook?

    I finally received my 16" M1 Pro and plugged it into the Dell WD19S dock that I have hooked up for both my Mac laptop and my work Windows PC (which has a single USB-C port).

    The dock works perfectly for my work computer, extending the display across both external monitors and allowing me to use it in clamshell mode. Sadly, it does not work with the M1 Pro Mac and mirrors on both the external monitors rather than extending to both of them. (Basically, the M1 Mac only sees one external monitor rather than two.)

    The two monitors are plugged into the DisplayPort ports.

    There is a thunderbolt version of my current dock, but my boss isn't going to buy it for me, so I'm looking for the best options that will work with both a Windows PC and the M1 Pro MacBook.

    It is possible for me to plug in one monitor via HDMI into my Mac, but it feels clunky. I'd rather have a single cable go into this machine. Charging via the dock is a plus, but is not a requirement.

    Can’t use internet service without updating to the new iOS update

    The problem is, is that I can't update it at all. It says my phones up to date with iOS 15.2.1. But when I go to check my storage to see if the update is there, it's not. So I'm just really confused.

    To sum it all up: phone told me to update to use my service, phone is and has been updated to the newest update, still don't have service, check to see if the update is even installed and there's nothing there. Not even a previous iPhone update.

    I can only use my phone services when wifi is available btw. Thanks in advance

    Screen time device separation

    My Mac (air 13" 2019 big sur) and iPhone (SE 15.0.2) both have screen time enabled from a parent phone (7 15.2), but I only want it on my phone, however if I disable one it disables the other. It used to work fine but I touched iCloud and it broke. Have fiddled around with share across devices but to no avail. Help would be appreciated.

    Also if there is a way to remove iCloud from my Apple ID (it brings nothing but pain for me) but still keep everything else the same that would be great as well

    Been experiencing some issues as of late when just interacting with the phone(XS Max, 15.2). For instance, when going to like a post it takes a couple taps on the screen until the phone responds. Occasionally, it just stops scrolling even though I'm still sliding my finger. Anyone still experiencing this issuesince? I've heard iOS 15 has kind of fucked up touch responsiveness

    Can anyone explain to me why I continually get this error message even single time I try to manually update my iOs?

    I get this every single time I try to update my MacBook Air.

    "An error occurred while downloading the selected updates. Please check your internet connection and try again."

    My wifi is pretty good and im running way behind on updates.

    I'm still Big Sur 11.3.1 but, I can't update to the latest os at all.

    Fitness plus AirPlay

    I recently got an iMac 2010 21.5 with Sierra as a gift. I am using Fitness+ and I am trying to display the training from my iPhone 12 or iPad Air to the Mac and use the big screen. As Airplay is not yet implemented in Sierra I tried some Alternatives like Airplayserver, lets view or lonely screen. They display the iPhone well, but when i start the training the display stays black.

    Is there any workaround? Maybe even wired?

    Automatic Software Updates

    How does one go about using automatic software updates?

    I've been using iPhones since the 4 and iPads since the first generation. Never have I ever been able to get an iOS device to install software updates automatically. I have plenty of free space, charge my phone every night (in fact it's the only time I charge it, and it's a Qi charger).

    Even my macOS computers have never installed software updates automatically.

    The only thing that actually installs updates automatically without issue an Apple TV.

    My Apple Watch never updates automatically because I wear it at night.

    Is there like a secret time that it needs to be unused to install? I'm usually up until 12-1 AM each night but figured since we have "AI" to figure out my sleep pattern that updates would happen automatically.

    Anyone have a take on this?
