To the folks who upgraded to the 13 pro (non max) how is battery life with your day to day usage? Posted: 06 Dec 2021 04:52 PM PST Currently using the 11 pro max and going to upgrade next week. Im a heavy user but would also like to transition to something a bit smaller. Has the 13 pro's battery life been as great as every ones been saying? [link] [comments]

Mini vs SE 2020 / One hand use Posted: 06 Dec 2021 04:25 PM PST Did someone had any Mini and compared it to the SE 2020 for one hand use? Im unsure about the squared edges and the long display on the Mini. People say its uncomfortable to hold and others say it has a better grip than the SE and its narrower. My hand are average, im 6'0. Posted: 06 Dec 2021 06:20 PM PST I'm getting a new phone. Im stuck between the iPhone SE and the iPhone 11. I notice the difference in price is $100, with the SE costing less. It made me wonder if the different prices had anything to do with the quality of the phones.

Posted: 07 Dec 2021 02:04 AM PST Ok, so I didn't had any issues with my wireless charging stand (without MagSafe) with the iPhone XS / SE 2nd. My charging stand is this one: https://www.newegg.com/p/0ZG-029W-02EK9?Description=meiso&cm_re=meiso-_-0ZG-029W-02EK9-_-Product Somehow after I got the iPhone 13 mini I suddenly more often end up with the iPhone uncharged. The reason seems to be that the back of the iPhone camera bump + case 'hangs' on the top of the wireless charger. In the past it didn't happened because the camera bump was less sticking out + heavier iPhone, it just 'drops' on the stand. With the iPhone mini it just 'hangs' and it is isn't that obvious when you put that some many times a day on the stand. Not sure whether other iPhones have the same problem. Anyways, out of frustration I got the apple MagSafe puck, and I can see how this makes a difference. Rather than you putting on the wireless puck, the puck attaches itself to the iPhone for a perfect fit. I might consider a MagSafe stand in the future, but I am impressed and understand why this product solves a certain issues that I actually didn't have on the older iPhones. [link] [comments]
Help me to stop Siri from replying Posted: 06 Dec 2021 03:44 PM PST Siri replies even tho "when silent mode is off" is enabled in settings. This is while using headphones and my phone is set to "silent". I never want to hear her. How to make this happen? [link] [comments]
So can someone explain to me Apple's update cycle? Posted: 07 Dec 2021 01:25 AM PST I've been hearing a lot about planned obsolescence and what not. And I noticed that apple provides software support for a model from the day it's released up to 7 years. But I've noticed on here that people are still rocking iphone 6s and or other older models. My question is. Once apple drops support. Doesn't that basically make your device less secure in general or slower over time? Can someone explain how the update cycle works? Do people simply use the older software versions but still receive App updates? I'm considering getting an m1 air and I need an iphone to pair it with for the ease of use of the ecosystem. But I don't want to spend soooooo much cash on a new phone as well even though the new iphone 13 looks bussin 😩 I have a couple older iphone models (6+7) sitting in my drawer than need a basic battery replacement. Do you think I should be good to go and stop worrying? [link] [comments]
Parental controls - Specifically time limits on text/imessage? Posted: 06 Dec 2021 06:39 PM PST Currently we use "Our Pact" to set some limits on our 14 year old's iPhone (se 2020). Text messaging and phone calls is always left wide open. She messages us while she's at school or while she's at friends. It would be nice though to have an app that allows you to set time limits per app, or restricted hours of use for individual apps. My wife is fairly well versed with iOS, I on the other hand am more an Android person and just diving into iOS. Anyways - parents, what are you using? [link] [comments]
The word mark triggers “new line” multiple times??? Posted: 06 Dec 2021 06:11 PM PST I'm hoping someone can help. I'm new to iPhone, and there are things I've stalled with. I have a friend named mark. If I say his name during dictation the new line triggers 4 or 5 times. I googled. No help. Help! [link] [comments]
Posted: 06 Dec 2021 04:55 PM PST So, I've been a long time android user, but lately I've seriously been considering switching to IOS. I got a Macbook air last year, and I was (and still am) blown away by it. The battery, the audio, the intuitiveness, were just unreal. Since then I've been thinking of getting an iPhone to buy into the eco-system. Here's my dilemma: I'm due an upgrade very soon. I'm on a low tariff, so I don't get it for free, instead I get €350 off the retail price, leaving €850 to pay up front. I can quite easily get €650-700 if I sell my current phone (Note 20 Ultra) so I'd only be paying €150. My other option is to wait until the iPhone 14 releases, and I've heard rumours of them removing/further reducing the notch - which I hate. Problem is, in another 9 months, my phone will be worth significantly less, and those rumours may not even be true. What do ye think? [link] [comments]
iPhone airplay to smart tv/Xbox one Posted: 06 Dec 2021 03:55 PM PST All I'm having an issue using airplay to my Samsung smart tv and Xbox one. Everything online I see says I should be able to airplay music over to either one, but when using either the airplay feature or the screen mirror feature, my phone does not find either device. I have updated everything/reset everything, but still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? [link] [comments]
