    Second Hand Ipad removing ID

    Hello,

    I am wondering if there is a legit way to remove the Apple ID off an Ipad? A family member got one second hand, claimed they couldn't get it to work gave it to us. Though the previous owner never signed out, I can't contact them as they have moved. I see software advertised to remove apple ID but all are a paid service and frankly seem sketchy. Any insight?

    Left airpod not working (doesn’t react to being taken out of the case or even/shows up as charging in the case even when in ear).

    Hello! My left airpod shows up as fully charged in the case, but when I take it out of the case it doesn't show up as taken out - it still shows up as charging. By chain reaction doesn't work in the ear either, in fact no sound at all comes out of it. My right earbud works perfectly. I've tried resetting and cleaning both the case and said airpod - still nothing. What could be the problem? If repair isn't an option, should I switch em out for new ones (they're the first gen model, if that helps)?

    My mac dosent work, it says i need to visit support.apple.com/mac/restore . Thing is their soulution has a need for another mac which i dont have.

    Sold MacBook Showing on “Find My” App

    As the title says I can see the sold MacBook from months ago on the Find My app. I only realised this because I switched back to an iPhone recently.

    Now I know for a fact I followed the correct process from the Apple website on what to do before selling the MacBook. I signed out of iCloud, reformatted (a couple of times actually), reset NVRAM, etc. I have also changed my Apple ID password and logged out of all devices.

    I read an article that apparently it has to do with the buyer not signing into their iCloud account on the MacBook, and as a result the MacBook is still associated with my Apple ID. Is this true? Is there anything I can do so I don't see the MacBook in my list? Each time I remove the device from my list it appears back each time it connects to the internet. I am a bit puzzled by this.

    Mac blocking access to local server?

    I recently got a new mac and everything's been woring great but a couple of weeks ago I coun't access my synology via the local IP. Can't connect via SMB or any file services ete nothing. When I try to connect via the ip in my browser it looks like it times out after a while. If I connect to my network via ethernet hub it works fine. All other machines at home can connect via wifi no problem and the new laptop can connect via quickconnect. I've tried disabling firewall etc and still the same issue.

    After a bunch of troubleshooting I noticed if I spoof a different MAC address I'm then able to access my synology, restore my mac address and it breaks once again. If I have synology assistant running when my mac address is normal then it can't find a synology on the network, if it's spoofed then it can.

    I've checked and there's nothing on the Synology that would block a MAC address (same ip and different Mac works and my Synology only seem to block by IP). Any guesses on what could be causing a block on my Mac?

    How do you check a recorded video actually used HDR? iPhone 12 Pro Max

    I used MediaInfo (on Windows) on a 4K 60fps video when HDR was enabled in Camera settings yet MediaInfo reported this for the video:

    • Bit Depth: 8 bits
    • Colour Range: Limited
    • Colour Primaries: BT.709

    Does HDR only work at a certain resolution and framerate?

    Is your iPhone rearranging your home screen too?

    I recently upgraded my iphone X to an iPhone 13. Now my phone rearranges my whole home screen every time I move a new app from the library to one of my home screen folders. Is anyone having the same issue?

    P.S. It doesn't just shift everything by one spot. And the pattern is not exactly clear. If it's helpful, here are the orders -

    Can't download Minecraft on 2 different iPads without paying twice?

    Both my kids have iPads. I have my own apple ID on both. I don't use Apple products anymore so this Apple ID is o my used for two kids to use. I bought Minecraft on one but when I try to put it on there other one it asked to buy it again.

    Disable mouse/mouse wheel acceleration

    I recently got a macbook for the first time and everything is good, except the awful mouse acceleration that I can't figure out how to disable. For reference I'm using a logitech g600 attached through a usb c to usb dongle. Any advice and help with this would be very appreciated.

    iPhone 13 charging incredibly slowly

    I just got the 13 pro max for Christmas and I've been trying to charge it ever since and it takes almost forever to charge. My old phone would be good to go in 3 or 4 hours but this one takes almost 30 minutes to go up 5%. I turned off optimized charging and have a lightning cable. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    AirPods connecting issue

    I got handed down an iPhone 7 which I am very grateful for. It works great! The only issue I'm having is whenever I try and connect my AirPods they connect and play music but when they're not connected they only show an icon that says not your AirPods instead of the icon that shows the battery percentage of the AirPods and the case. And when the AirPods are connected no icon shows up when I open the case. Any fix?

    Game Center data restore?

    Hello fellow redditors I just recovered an old iPod touch from my garage, and I discovered that my old save data from Head Soccer had been preserved. I wanted to get it to my new phone, which is an Android. However, neither the Facebook or iCloud button worked. I managed to log into Game Center, but I am not an Apple user, and I have no idea if it's possible to transfer Game Center data to iCloud. If it is, I would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks in advance :)

    I got a new computer and when I downloaded iTunes again and sync’d my phone for music none of my songs appear in the list (the two you see are random songs I’ve never heard in my life lol) Anyone know how to fix this?

    Dad dragged 'Applications' onto the desktop and it half-copied it. The folder icon on the desktop won't open (asks to finish and merge/replace), has it half-moved a bunch of things or is it safe to delete?

    Not a Mac user. Windows wouldn't let you do this as many many things would break, but Mac *shrug*
    Do I delete the folder or let it finish, do I choose Merge or Replace and what do I do after that to get the things in it back where they came from?

    Apple ID balance not available in AppStore, only ApplePay

    So I've just topped up my Apple ID balance with 100 Euro plus 15 Euro bonus. My Apple Id shows 115 Euro balance in the AppStore.

    When I check available payment methods in the AppStore I see Balance, ApplePay and Credit Card, but when I try to make a purchase I'm immediately presented the ApplePay checkout with no option to choose my balance.

    Is there a setting somewhere I forgot about ? I regularly use ApplePay but haven't topped up my balance in year's.

    Edit: Well, in the end I ended up just removing Apple Pay as a payment method from my account. Still didn't show any options but just used my balance.

    Alright so, to start, I got this IPad and I wanted to add my phones backup to it so I would have all my stuff on it. I realized I didn't need all my pictures on the IPad so I deleted them all. I wake up the next morning and all the photos on my phone are completely deleted. I don't know how to get it back or if I even can but please please help me figure out what I'm supposed to do to get it back. Thank you :)

    Is there a way to sync my iCloud passwords with Firefox

    I'm using Firefox on my Mac and would like to keep all my passwords synced across devices, especially on my iPhone so that I can use the passwords stored in iCloud to log in on apps that I use.

    I know there's iCloud for Firefox on Windows but is there an equivalent for Firefox on Mac?
