    Questions for the caseless iphone community

    Caseless friends,

    I've decided to join you and throw on a dbrand skin, I've watched a few drop tests but none were really the rough concrete with the bumps

    How has your caseless iphone survived? I don't think I've dropped my phone in roughly 3 years...but today as I was thinking of going caseless, almost as a sign I dropped my phone outside and it bounced on the corner (in it's case)...gonna ignore the sign and get applecare+

    If I dent or scuff up my phone badly can I use applecare+ to fix it up before trade in or selling? I've never had to utilize applecare or applecare+ on a phone

    I'm pretty careful but accidents can happen, I've also had a bad habit of phone chucking onto beds which can bounce off though even with the slimmest of cases, my phone has never been damaged

    I want to experience my phone in it's slim glory though (with a skin)

    edit: Holding my phone caseless as I wait for the skin to add grip...I feel like I'm committing a crime, the last time I went without a case was a thick motorola flip phone from the dark ages

    About iPhone 12 silicone cases

    I've been looking into buying a red one for my red iPhone 12, and I have wonders such as:

    Is it easy to put on/take off?

    Is it drop protective?

    How durable is it?

    I think red on red would look pretty nice and I need to know if it's worth the buy

    Please share your big and small frustrations with your iphone. It will feel good.

    • 10:00 pm, almost bed time. The house is silent All is well. Me (whispering): "Siri, set alarm 05:00". Siri: "I HAVE SET AN ALARM FOR 5AM".
    • Me, turns off wifi in control centre. IPhone: No that is not turning wifi off, and I will re-enable what you disabled anyway after 24 hours.
    • Me, wanting to disable any internet access by an application. IPhone: "No no, go away, not having that"
    • Me, doing nothing with applications. IPhone: "I will offload them - you can download them again when you need them.". Me, clicking on old game that needs to be played. IPhone: "That app is no longer available for download"
    • Me, trying to understand how to backup Apple Notes properly. Apple: "Well yes you can back it up, but to restore it, you need to actually restore the entire device and it will resync itself if you are not fast enough which means you have lost your notes again and need to restore it again"
    • Me, trying to export ALL notes I have. Apple: not allowing bulk exports. Only semi proper workaround is buying an app or formally requesting an export from icloud via some gdpr compliancy like website - apple taking up to a week to digitally provide the export.
    • Me, trying to figure out how to properly backup photo's within the Apple Icloud system. Apple: Well yes, you actually need to have a macbook, configure it such that all photo's will sync full quality, and than make a backup from your macbook. No, it's not by default that we have proper backup facilities. And yes we make it more complex than if you just had them on your phone - cause on your phone we will offload them to the cloud and then downgrade the quality of the photo on the phone. So your iphone backup will contain downgraded photo's - if you are luckly, that is. We like that. It makes it less transparent and more complex. All well.
    • Me, liking the home button. Me, still missing the home button cause it's always in the same location and not either horizontally or vertically. Apple, not giving a damn and giving all kinds of stupid gestures you have to think about every time - and you are partly required to use these. Me, crying.
    • Me, getting a phone call. Me accepting phone call. Me realising it's facetime call and it starts recording right after accepting the call. Me, realising all kinds of embarrassing things.
    • Me, upgrading iphone to 14.whatever. Puts iphone on charger for the night while updating. IPhone in the morning; oops, you are not logged in, you need to enter password and pin. Also IPhone; you got missed calls.
    • Me, liking the music app for my personal music. Nice app. iphone: let's upgrade that app, make it less intuitive and nag the hell out of you with a HUGE ad on your $1200 phone for Apple Music"
    • Me, liking the PodCast app from apple. Apple: "Let's update that app and make it awful"
    • Me, having unlimited mobile internet. iphone: "Are you sure you want to download this update over mobile? It might cost you!". Yes, iphone, I am sure. OVER AND OVER AGAIN.
