    Does anyone else get this? When I connect my Sony M4s to my iPhone (11, iOS 15.1) the Apple Music app increases volume by a lot and my ears are nearly blown off. It happens with my Mac too (MacBook Pro 2020 M1)

    Only on Apple Music and Podcasts, never happens on Spotify.

    Anyone know a fix? I have a volume limit set but it still goes well above that and I have to manually turn it down.

    Music recognition issue on iOS 15

    I was trying to use music recognition the last couple of days and it wasn't working, I want able to figure out what the issue was until now. Apparently on iOS 15, you can't use music recognition with headphones connected. But this was never an issue on iOS 14, is there a fix for this?

    Transferred data from iPhone X to iPhone 13 pro max and some things are using a lot more storage than before. Photos is using over 60gb more than it was on my iPhone X and system data is also using 60gb more

    iPhone 11 overheated overnight in charger to the point of nearly burning my hand and damaging the screen. Since then, it keeps seriously overheating at the top whenever I turn it on.

    I left my phone in the charger overnight like every night and when I woke up this morning, it was so hot I could barely hold it in my hand. It cooled off a bit 15 minutes after I pulled it out of the charger but now there's some black screen spot damage on top, as seen on this picture. It also didn't get any charge the whole night. Charger is original, been using it and the phone for 5 months without any issues so far.

    I turned it off and let it cool down. After turning it back on, I noticed the black spot disappeared, but it started creeping back after a minute, while the phone started to quickly overheat again at the top (right where the black spot formed, near the front camera). It's not in the charger at this point, and I'm not doing anything with it, it just sits idle. Face ID also doesn't work.

    I tried this a few times, every time I turn it back on, it starts seriously overheating at the top really fast. Now I just turned it off and stopped messing with it altogether.

    iOS is 15.0.2.

    What happened, what can I do?

    Sent a voice message. Went back to my phone later, saw that the conversation was not moved to the top of stack. Voice message is gone and I didn't receive a notification that it didn't send. Was my voice message received or not?

    Sending SMS not iMessage to one person

    Looking for answers on how my husband can consistently txt me via sms, not iMessage.

    He has an iPhone X, I have an android mobile and an iPad Air 4. When he txts me, his messages sometimes land on my phone and sometimes on my iPad, which is obviously unhelpful when I'm out and about. The only pattern I have noticed is that if I have recently sent him a msg from my iPad, his next however-many msgs also land on my iPad and not on my phone, even if I have since txt him from my phone, until somehow at some stage, it goes back to txting me normally and I receive them on my phone again. He's not particularly tech-savvy or observant, so hasn't noticed any correlations, patterns or differences when sending iMessages or SMS.

    He uses iMessages frequently, so switching it off entirely won't help us, nor will manually switching it off and back on each time he wants to txt me.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    I think I have a physical issue and not a system/technical issue (something is wrong with the vibration motor after dropping phone) so i was wondering if its likely to be able to be fixed in store? I feel super worried about sending my phone off and them having access to everything so I don't really want to do that. But is that gonna be my only option?

    How do I view contents from a very old backup?

    I have a backup from an iPhone 4/5 with iOS 7(?) in 2016. This backup has stuff that is not in any of my current devices. Is there a way to view the contents of this backup without having to restore it onto a phone? I don't even know if that is still possible because of the huge difference in iOS of the backup vs any current phone, but that's not an option either because I don't have an iPhone laying around at the moment. How do I view its contents?

    How do I assign "swoosh" notification sound to WhatsApp notification on my iphone? and a couple other questions

    Switched from android to iphone this week. I know its going to take some time to get used to the new OS. I googled all my problems but couldn't find anything that worked.

    Q1: When I open whatsapp settings > notifications > Soundi do not see all the classic alert tones and the new ones only a few. I really like the "swoosh" sound effect but can only see it in General > Settings > Sound not in WhatsApp settings.

    Q2: Also tried to use scroll screenshot just like in android but couldn't find any solution to it. I am aware that it is possible in safari but I want to use it to screenshot things outside of safari.

    Removing PE Service

    I just received my new iPhone 13 Pro. I activated my phone with T-Mobile and it appears to be working, however, there are now two sets of bars at the top of my screen. One is labeled "PR" which I assume stands for "primary" and it's showing activity for T-Mobile. The second is "PE" which I assume stands for "personal" and has no signal. How do I remove that secondary one (PE)? I tried Googling the issue but ran into unrelated topics. Thank you for any help or advice.

    How do you fully block a phone number?

    I blocked a number but it still goes through since they can still leave messages under "blocked messages".

    Is there a way I can completely block their number to where they don't even hear tones or get to my voicemail box?

    LCD Broken? Dropped my iPhone 11 Pro Max in a steam shower about 5 days ago screen progressively got more unresponsive until i was stuck on a full grey/ black screen, just plugged it back in and its a little better, the longer its on the brighter it gets, trying to diagnose the problem

    IPhone XR running 15.1 is telling me my storage is full and that it needs to be managed before I can take anymore pictures. However, when I check it looks like I have plenty of room. Are there partitions or something for certain types of data?

    Updated iPhone to iOS 15.1 a few hours ago and ever since then it has been making a beep-boop sound every minute or two.

    It sometimes happens a few times a minute but it's been non stop. It kind of sounds like a location beep but I don't think that's it because there's no arrow at the top. Everything is off except wifi.

    Edit: Now it's randomly vibrating instead of the sound. I googled the random vibrations on iOS 15.1 and there's someone else who made a Reddit posts. The vibrating seems common but no real solution. Restarting didn't work.

    Help! Voice memo not working properly

    I recently recorded a voice memo of 35 minutes. However, when replaying it, it only plays the first second. The voice recording shows the correct length (35 minutes) but it stops playing after one second. When scrubbing forward, it's a flat line and it won't play.

    When airdropping it or downloading it on another device it's also just the first second.

    Does anyone know what I can do to recover the file?

    Okay so...

    My mom has an iphone and I have a google Pixel.

    Previously I had an old iphone (years ago) My sim card is completely different and I have turned off iMessage etc. Anything to try to troubleshoot this problem on my end I have tried. .

    So My mom can send texts and call directly to my number. But if I text to her phone it does not go through and if I call her it goes straight to voicemail.

    I haven't been able to find answers on this for well over a year so we use Facebook Messenger to communicate and for now that's fine.

    Fast-forward to know... I work for a company where everyone uses different company cellphones to communicatee with customers. Recently, my boss (who has an Android) is having a similar issue. Any calls he has made to customers who happen to have an iphone do not go through. Straight to voicemail and customers say they have no missed calls. Now, I have a separate work cell that is also an android and I have been able to call through to all of these customers just fine, and have confirmed they all have iphones.

    Any insight on this? Anyone who has had similar issues? Any fix for this?

    From a business perspective we have to be able to call customer cell phones, and hey I'd really like to be able to just call my mom too....

    Hi! Sorry if this isn't exactly meant for this sub but I'm not sure where else to post. My dad has an old iPod nano that he uses for background music with his business shows (he's a magician) and he's super oldschool and resistant to upgrading. Anyways, we have a Bose speaker dock with a lightning port on it. Typical speaker that you can just set you iphone on top of to charge/play music. How can i connect the 3.5mm/aux output of his ipod to the lightning port input of this dock?

    I absentmindedly ordered an adapter for the old ipod/iphone charging port to lightning port without realizing that the old ipods dont output sound through that port, only through the aux output.

    Does this make sense? could really use your help on which adapters or whatnot to get. thanks!

    May return new iPhone because of carpal tunnel issues

    Hello there, I just got an iPhone 13 mini and love it, except it's giving me pretty terrible carpal tunnel issues. I've had it for half a week.

    Before this I had an iPhone 7, which gave me no issues, and before that the 4s, which also gave me no issues, and neither does my iPad mini (kind with home button).

    I think the whole screen design really strains my hand. I try to "drag the screen down" as often as I can so my hand stays planted in the same area, but whatever the case, my wrists are doing pretty bad.

    Anybody have any advice?
