Most of the wear is happening around the edges, where the rubber is starting to deform and detach from the leather. Considering the $60 price tag, this lack of quality is unacceptable. It's my first MBP (latest one) and I have an issue where it won't properly sleep when connected to my hub which has the following devices attached: Mouse/Keyboard, monitor via DP, ethernet, power, 8tb external hdd. Situation #1: I connect the closed mbp to it and nothing happens. After sometimes 5 minutes or so the laptop suddenly powers up for no apparent reason at all. Situation #2: I connect it and the laptop immediately powers on. Situation #3: The laptop is connected and working fine. I now want to put the MBP to sleep while still having everything connected. 5/10 times this works but the other 5 times it will go to sleep for 5 seconds and immediately wake up again. I have disabled wake-up from LAN in the battery settings but that didn't do much. Any idea what's wrong? Thank you guys! [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 10 Nov 2021 10:26 PM PST Hello! I am using a TV as an external monitor for my Macbook Pro Intel 2020. When I start up my computer, my display is great. When I turn the TV on, monitor is fine. When I plug my Mac into the TV, there is a gray line with small white rectangle on both the monitor and the MacBook screen. When I unplug my Mac, the gray line is still on my computer display. The only way to get rid of it is to restart my computer. It's not a screen hardware issue because when the two devices are not connected to one another upon startup, the screens are fine. Also, when I lock my screen (where it requires my login password) the screens are fine too. Can someone help me please? [link] [comments] |

I just wanna change my App Store region and im tooo scared to sign out of my current Id because I don't want it to delete or take forever for stuff to load back on. Your probably asking "Ehy don't you switch the region in your App Store" I've tried- trust me, and I still can't download any apps from those regions because "Your account isn't valid to use in (insert country)" Anything would help! File restored just fine - but the Finder reset itself. Sidebar went to factory defaults. All open windows reset back to the main hard drive. All easily fixed, but just annoying. Anyway so I struggle and eventually I go to my system preferences and check my users and groups to make sure I know which account is the admin, just checked none of them are somehow, so I go to unlock the page so I can change myself to admin, but the page asks for admin password and username, what the heck do I enter if I don't have an admin account ??? | Calendar making software like ClarisWorks 4.0 Posted: 10 Nov 2021 07:53 PM PST I'm trying to help someone who has (for a couple decades) been making calendars for their church using ClarisWorks 4.0 on a Macintosh Performa 6400. They would like to be able to use the same software or something similar on their newer 2012 MacBook pro running MacOS Catalina v10.15.7 Here is a picture of the type of calendar that she's been able to make with ClarisWorks. It is printed on both sides of 11 x 17 size paper so that a single month gets 11 x 17 of real estate. Any tips or suggestions for compatible software that could produce the same sweet calendars? Even if I create a template in Excel and print to 11 x 17, I wouldn't know how to get it to print like this where one month is split on two separate sheets of paper, but joined at the fold. Been having an issue lately where I have not been receiving notification banners for some contacts who will send me a text message in the Messages app. But oddly enough, the badge icon will show a number for the Messages app from the contact. All my settings are on for every single message and this phone did not do this when I first purchased it several months ago. I'm updated to iOS 15 but not on the most recent update of it. Posted: 10 Nov 2021 07:18 PM PST I was updating my device using iTunes to the latest iOS version 15.2 I think and the download was completed on my windows PC. I connected my device and it verified the update and everything was going well until the first stage of the setup where it showed me an error that the device cannot be found. I had to force restart it and try to update again using iTunes from the while being in the DFU mode. Since then it keeps showing me error 75 and the device cannot be restored or recovered. If there's any way I can force the firmware to update or get the phone out of recovery mode that would be great. I don't mind losing my data at this point. [link] [comments] |

This backup has stuff that is not in any of my current devices. Is there a way to view the contents of this backup without having to restore it onto a phone? I don't even know if that is still possible because of the huge difference in iOS of the backup vs any current phone, but that's not an option either because I don't have an iPhone laying around at the moment. Whenever I am in the messenger app and try to open up a video group FaceTim, the FaceTime screen opens up for about two seconds with the other five members and then immediately closes and no one connects. I've tried to toggle off and then on FaceTime. I've updated the accounts to include my phone number as well as both email addresses that I have installed on my phone. I've also tried to individually FaceTime each person on the group and that works successfully. Anyone have any idea how I can possibly fix this? [link] [comments] |

On computer it asks for the "find my iPhone" to be turned off on phone but can't go through. Anyone knows how to erase/restore under those circumstances? [link] [comments] |
