    I’ve tried everything. How do I get rid of this?! (iPhone 11 Pro - iOS 14.8.1)…. I have already factory reset, restored from backup. None of my iCloud photos are saved/high res.

    iPhone 7 bought in the US now in Italy - doesn't connect to provider anymore - help

    So my friend has had this iphone 7 for 2 years, the phone is originally from 2016. It suddenly (a few days away) stopped connecting to the Italian provider (Tim) so no calls, no messages and no internet connection, while it still works for everything else and can connect to wifi.

    The guy at the apple store explained to her that this was built in the US, and she didn't know because she had bought it used from a store. The guy said that after a few years in another country iphones stop connecting to the provider because it's in a different country than the one that built it, but my question is: why has it worked for so many years without a problem and now all of a sudden doesn't anymore? There was no update, she didn't reset it, nothing.

    They've asked (to fix it) 270€ and she could buy another used phone for that much.

    Help please?

    my iphone’s celular data and wi-fi have been acting odd in recent days but i know nothing, my iphone’s internet is very odd, it works for some apps and it doesn’t for others, and the wi-fi says it’s connected but it really isn’t , and yet everything works fine for everyone else at home

    Where does iXpand copy files to? Copied files to iPhone and I can't find them anywhere.

    I have about 400MB of files on an iXpand drive and wanted to copy those over to the iPhone. I selected the files, choose to copy and it copies them. I search inside of the music app and they are not there, I search using Spotlight Search and they are not there (using the file name).

    iXpand doesn't tell me WHERE it's going to copy the files to, so I look in photos and music, can't find them anywhere.

    I go back into iXpand app on the iPhone and try again, and it says the files are there. It's about 80 music files and the iXpand app REALLY sucks at playing them, so I was going to copy them over to the phone. Now I can't find them.

    Q. where does Apple store files like these?

    How to get link for a website?

    When I go online with my iPhone 12, I can only see the top line url. So if I'm on a newspaper site and I'm looking at a particular article, it will only show, for example www.newspaper.com. How do I get the url for the specific article so I can cut and paste it and send it to someone?

    Does screen repair include Face ID repair as well on iPhone12pro Max (Directly from Apple)

    I need to fix an iPhone12Pro Max with a broken LCD, screen, and face ID. I know that when doing this directly from apple, the screen replacement covers the screen and LCD, but does this same fix cover the Face ID as well? Or is this a whole separate process. Again this will all be from apple not a 3rd party vendor. Any advice helps cant seem to find this answer anywhere. Cheers!

    iPhone 13 Pro Max

    20% of the display is way brighter that the rest? Anybody who had have the same issue? What can possibly cause this problem? I have tried to factory reset my iPhone, but did not help. Any suggestions for a solution?

    Apps dont open and i cant shut the phone down

    My IPhone X's wont open any apps and wont shut down, none of the buttons work, apps dont open but other than that it still works kinda. How do I fix this can anyone help? I didnt drop it, click on any dodgy websites or anything like that. I am a very simple man all i really do is play clash royale and use whatsapp and occasionally scroll through reddit. on the way back home i noticed i would get kicked out of apps as soon as i open them then when i got home i coulndt use any of the buttons or open any apps i can move around the home screen just fine but thats it. i checked some tutorials out on youtube where they cant open any appps eithertheir solution is to restartyour phome as i said my buttons arent working ive tried holding on them and it didnt work and incant open up apps so i could t shut it down via settings so my last resortis to post here and pray that someone can help me. https://imgur.com/a/qu9YAxb

    iOS 15.1.1: FaceID completely broken on iPhone 13 Pro Max

    I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max with iOS 15.1.1 and FaceID is completely broken.

    It works 1 out of 99 tries, and trying to reset FaceID doesn't work at all. It cannot recognize my face, it either says "move lower" or "move higher" etc.

    Am I the only one? Soft/Hard reset etc (all the usual suspects) didn't solve it either!

    iPhone incorrectly labeling my GF as myself

    Hello,

    I have an iPhone 12 running iOS 15.1.1. This phone was purchased December 2020.

    It appears that my iPhone has now labeled my girlfriend's contact as "Me". I have not changed the SIM card at all.

    When I go to my Apple ID. It states my name and email and it lists all of my devices. How did this happen? How do I fix this?

    iPhone XS Toilet Damage

    Unfortunately my iPhone XS fell into a flushed toilet this morning. It fully submerged but wasn't underwater for more than a few seconds.

    The worrisome part is the phone kept trying to reboot itself once I pulled it out of the water. The Apple logo would appear then it'd either cut to black or flash white before rebooting.

    Phone is currently out of the case and being stored in a dry area. How long should I wait before trying to boot up the phone again?

    Bad battery

    I have been using iPhones since 2010, I'm one of those few people that doesn't use iCloud. Back-up through iTunes and copy photos to drives. I always wonder if I'm transfering years old junk to new phones. Am I? Or does the junk get deleted with the recent 'Quick start' feature? Never done a fresh start before.

    If there's a possibility I'm transfering old back-up junk, what's the best way to start semi-fresh by only transfering photos/videos (110gb), contacts, notes and Whatsapp chats? Get a iCloud subscription and back-up those items? Or will this be the same as the 'Quick start feature'?

    Going from a 12 mini to 13 mini. Oh bonus question: any things I should be aware off with the transfer process if I'm using a e-sim?

    Why isn't the wide-angle view merge into the regular view in 1x photo mode?

    So when taking a photo, the wide angle lense shows in the greyed out area around the camera, while the main angle lense is in the middle.

    But after taking the photo, only the main middle part saves, while the greyed area around edges is lost.

    Is this supposed to happen? Can I take a photo that merges the 1x camera with the 0.5x camera (like I see in the preview)?

    I got iPhone 12 btw.

    Can I use an NFC tag to unlock my iPhone?

    I recently bought a ring with an NFC tag embedded in it. I want to be able to use it to unlock my iPhone in lieu of using a 6 digit passcode. Is this possible? I can only find ways to do pretty much every other shortcut possible.

    iPhone XR - Not turning on, stuck in DFU/Recovery mode, happens every single time I do a software update or restart my phone

    I've been facing this problem for the last 4-6 months. Whenever a new software update comes out, or whenever I need to restart my phone, the phone doesn't turn back on by itself. I have to do the Force Restart to turn it back on every single time, but it doesn't work most of the time. I have to try the Force Restart (FR) again and again until it works and the Apple Logo comes on. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes, sometimes it takes 2-3 hours. But this time it has been almost 24 hours but still haven't been able to turn the phone on.

    My phone was at full charge when this happened, I have charged it overnight and tried to FR again, I have tried different chargers, different cables and different sockets but to no success, I've tried to FR while it was on charge but it doesn't work.

    The phone still has its original battery, its not jailbroken, was on the latest ios patch. There aren't any Apple Stores in my country (Bangladesh) so can't go there. Warranty/Applecare validity has expired.

    When I plug the phone into my laptop, iTunes say that the phone is in recovery mode. Tenorshare Reiboot says its in DFU mode. I haven't been able to backup any of my data. It's not a problem with the screen as far as I know, it doesn't vibrate or anything.

    Does anyone have any idea on what I can do to fix this? I've talked to some local repair shops that work with Apple Products and have good reviews, one said I'd need to pay $60 to get it fixed and apparently won't lose any data, another said they might have to 'flush something'? I don't really remember but they both said they'd have to take it apart to check everything, and that worries me as I've heard phones can get completely fried from this. Please help :(

    iPhone 7 - screen issue after battery change

    iPhone 7 128gb, iOS 14.8.1, I have owned this phone from new

    This weekend I went to a local independent phone repair shop and paid to have a new battery fitted to my iPhone 7.

    But now there is a problem with the screen, in that it has wavy lines. It is not visible on a dark background but can be clearly seen on a light background as shown in this photo

    If I press on the screen the lines distort a little more and then return when I take my finger off.

    Some important notes:

    • There were no issues whatsoever with the screen prior to this.
    • The battery was DEFINITELY changed. My old battery had a health rating of 80% and was charged to 100%, the new battery has a health rating of 100% and was charged to 65%
    • The phone has not been dropped or exposed to water
    • I want to make clear that ALL functions of the phone work perfectly, including Touch ID, 3D Touch, microphone and speakers, all connectivity. The ONLY issue is the lines on the screen.
    • It is DEFINITELY a the original screen, because a tiny pre-existing scratch is in the same place.
    • When I powered the phone on after the repair, I immediately spotted the problem and discussed it with the guy. He opened the phone back up, reseated the battery and all connections etc, but it made no difference.
    • It has been 2 days since the battery repair, and the screen issue unchanged.
    1. What could be the cause?
    2. How can it be fixed?
    3. Is this a known problem when fitting aftermarket batteries?

    Question about iPhone 13 (not Pro) photo and video storage

    Sorry if this is a bit of a noob question

    TL;DR: Are the new photo and video file formats on iPhone 13 (not Pro) still able to be stored in iCloud and therefore will not take up storage space on my iPhone 13 itself? Basically I am trying to confirm if the base 128 GB iPhone 13 will be sufficient for me, assuming that all of my photos/videos won't take up storage space on the phone itself.

    I have 2 TB Family Sharing iCloud account. The vast majority of the time I'm on wifi either at home or at work, but I also have unlimited data on my phone plan. I don't travel much these days, and spend maybe one weekend per year camping without cell reception.

    My 256 GB iPhone 8 broke a couple months ago, so I have been limping along with an old 64 GB iPhone 6. Right now I'm only using 16 GB on the iPhone 6, but I have 138 GB of Photos in iCloud ("old school" photos and videos, not even Portrait Mode, since that wasn't available on my iPhone 8). I have access to all of those photos/videos on my iPhone 6, but I think there is a slight delay as they are accessed/downloaded from iCloud? But this is fine with me, and I am fine with this going forward when I have my iPhone 13.

    So based on the above, I thought that there was no point in getting another 256 GB iPhone, so I ordered a 128 GB iPhone 13.

    After ordering it, I read some things here and elsewhere online that were a bit confusing and seemed to imply that the new photo and video file formats may not be able to be stored in iCloud, and would therefore have to be stored on the phone itself? But maybe that was only for iPhone 13 Pro?

    I'm also a bit fuzzy on how photo resolution plays into this. If I keep photos/videos in iCloud, and then access them on my iPhone 6 or new iPhone 13, do I get to see them in full resolution? Is that why there is a short delay when I click on a photo or video on my iPhone 6? Do I have access to full resolution photos/videos if I want to keep them all in iCloud going forward? Or do I have to store them locally on my iPhone 13 if I want full resolution with the new file formats?

    As you can tell, I'm not too familiar with the new photo/video file formats, iPhone 13/Pro etc. so just hoping that someone can help to explain...

    Can I stick with my 128 GB iPhone 13 and keep everything in iCloud going forward like I planned? Or do I need to return it for a 256 GB?

    Persistent random calls from random numbers...

    I'm wondering if anyone else is having or has had this issue.

    For the last 4-5 months or so I've been getting calls from random numbers, near enough every day, and whenever I answer them it's in somebodies pocket. I can hear voices or traffic in the background.. And if I don't answer, half of them will leave me a voicemail.

    They can see that the call has gone out from their phone, but aren't aware that they have made it.

    I had 22 missed calls from one number this morning. They are always from iPhones and can see this as when I message them, they're all using iMessage.

    One time I hung up on an incoming call and a second later another one appeared from a different number.

    I've tried talking to Apple and my network provider (Three), neither have been any help.

    Any ideas? Changing my number would be a real pain..
