Do Not Disturb doesn’t turn off automatically on AppleWatch Posted: 28 Nov 2021 06:09 AM PST Since the iOS15/WatchOS8 update, every morning my AppleWatch is on Do Not Disturb mode. I have it automated 00-7 on iPhone and have it mirrored on AppleWatch. The fact is that while it does turn off on iPhone as expected, the AppleWatch leaves it on till I disable it from CC. I got it with the basic sport band but i dont really like it because it doesnt really fit my hand (one hole is too loose and the one next to it is too tight), so I am considering about buying the sport loop since it can be adjusted freely but I am concerned about how it would absorb sweat cus i also workout and I dont want to swap bands often. I'm primarily getting a smart watch for health/activity tracking reasons. I live in Europe and there are no good offers for the SE nor for the s6/7. The SE is currently sold for €300, the s6 for around €400, and the s7 for €400-450. I don't care much about always-on display, I just want the health tracking and battery life to be as good as possible. What do you recommend? The good: – Focus on health – integration with iPhone – easy to swap bands, change up look – Haptic crown The bad – Looks like a shrunken iPhone – Too much app support. Some apps aren't practical for a watch, but they still are available – The os could have been simplified for a watch experience. It doesn't feel like it has been The ugly – Most will disagree, but the square shape is fugly. It's a watch, and most proper watches are round. Alternative for Sleep as Android? Posted: 28 Nov 2021 06:00 AM PST Coming from Android, I was eager to find an alternative to Sleep as Android. Sleep Cycle looked like the most sophisticated one, but one thing is bugging me: The Apple Watch app is entirely independent of the smartphone app. If I track it using the phone app, I get: Snoring detection Hue lights integration With the watch app, I get: More accurate sleep phase detection Heart rate measurement Sleep as Android did this differently: Adding an Android watch would still be the same experience on the phone but with the better sensors from the watch. Is there another alternative that works more like Sleep as Android? How would Autosleep compare? Additionally, having recurring alarms set for different weekdays is an important feature omitted from Sleep Cycle.
