| ATV Test WiFi Incredible Speed Posted: 29 Nov 2021 05:57 AM PST I always had speed limitation using WEBOS, even connected via cable. My internet is 500 megs and when doing the test on ATV via wifi it always exceeds my contracted speed. This is amazing! My router is next to the ATV, I don't see the need to use it via data cable. But the night time scenes are nearly impossible to watch because the screen is so dark you can't see anything. I even have the brightness turned all the way up. I have to watch in a totally dark room to have any hope of making out anything in the nighttime scenes. I'm not sure what kind of artistic vision the director or cinematographer was going for but whatever it was it is very annoying to watch. [link] [comments] | ||

Other than just by ignoring the metadata entirely. Edit: Seems to be TMDB. Will look at reporting it there somehow. Posted: 28 Nov 2021 12:23 PM PST Unless apps such as Youtube or other streaming services starts to support jog feature, its going to be very annoying to use the new remote. For example in my old remote, I used to click right side during Youtube playback and it usually skips 10 seconds forward fine. But in new remote it just shows thumbnail of what's happening 10 secs forward. You have to press dead center or hit 'pause/play' button to move forward. Otherwise it just resumes from where you left. Very annoying to skip through portions. Another thing, which might be just an issue for TVos, is that if there are more menus just above the video players, its difficult to reach those unless you go perfectly 90° angle upwards. If you want to know how much better a remote can be, try the same remote in your iPhone. Much more responsive and accurate. [link] [comments] | ||

I also connected two of my DualShock 4 controllers (both are the Note: The lag seems apparent also in AppleTV UI itself and the Provenance UI. Possibly it is not that much of a lag, but missing button events - pressing repeatedly, mostly the third one reacts and also holding a button and releasing might continue scrolling few more "items/tiles". When looking into it, I noticed that in the Bluetooth devices list, while both have the same name I also have a SteamController, which I now got connected. It is detected also in the "simplistic" way showing only While the SteamController is not officially supported, my question is how come the two DS4 controllers are detected differently? If it were hardware issue, the UI should still present the same re-mapping options, etc for both controllers, no? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 29 Nov 2021 03:07 AM PST Some of them are quite historical moments; when she interviewed Al Gore and Bush consecutively in what many call a deciding fate for the 2000 election; her interview with Nelson Mandela; audience's live reaction to the OJ Simpson verdict; The Color Purple and Sound of Music reunions; that once in a lifetime interview with Ralph Lauren and his family in 2011; the much-anticipated Sarah Palin 2009 interview etc. Her child abuse shows, like when she had Tyler Perry and over 100 men who were molested, each holding a picture of the time when they started experiencing abuse, are timeless teaching moments. There are many psychological and health matters addressed on that show that are still relevant today (e.g. Dr Phil episodes, her then traniner Bob Greene's fitness episodes etc.). Even the controversial episodes like The James Frey 2006 drama, The 2005 Hermes incident episode (where she began with Jennifer Aniston's first TV interview since divorce from Brad Pitt), both two episodes of her reunion of Iyanla Vanzant etc. would be worth watching. Some shows are helpful in that they captured the moment of the time: her racism shows of the 1980s, how the gay men faced homophobia while in the middle of a devestating AIDS pandemic etc. The fun ones too: the 2005 couch incident; the interview with both Cher and Tina Turner in Las Vegas; the show where she gave aways cars; her much-acclaimed road-trip with Gayle; her farewell shows; the interview she did with Barbara Walters when she released her autobiography Audition (a fascinating career and life Barbs had), also when she took hundreds of Harpo staff and their family members on vacation etc. I could go on and on. I enjoyed all shows she did with Barbra Streisand, including the 2003 iconic one (Mad TV made a good joke out of it) and the 2010 one when she reunited with Robert Redford and performed The Way We Were. She even has other TV specials that where not part of the show but have left a mark on the culture. Her 2006 Legends' Ball, and her interview with Michael Jackson in the 1990s (the most watched interview in history) etc. What would be stopping her from considering making such a deal with Apple or any streaming service, given that that's what shows like KUWTK and Real Housewives franchises are doing with Netflix? I think she's that one talk-show host whom this would work best for. TL;DR: Why doesn't Oprah sell [many] episodes of her iconic Oprah Winfrey Show to Apple TV+? | Apple TV 4K and LG C1 troubleshoot Posted: 28 Nov 2021 05:19 PM PST I recently got the LG C1 TV and I can't connect my Apple TV remote to control tv settings, such as volume. I have the HDMI 2.1 in the #1 slot and made sure LG HDMI-CEC is on. Here is what I have tried so far: I have gone to the Apple TV settings, chose Remotes and Devices, chose Volume Control, and selected Learn New Device. When I do this, my LG Magic Remote volume button does not register to the Apple TV that I am increasing the volume, even though the volume is increasing on the tv. I do not have cable and use the Apple TV as my main source of entertainment. My previous tv was able to be controlled by the Apple TV but it wasn't a smart TV like this new LG C1. Any suggestions on connecting my Apple TV to this new LG C1 so I am able to control Power, Source, and most importantly Volume would be greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] | ||

Called apple and they said they dropped the Apple TV 3 from airplay. I asked why and they said it's vintage and they are no longer supporting it. Posted: 28 Nov 2021 06:35 AM PST I have multiple AppleTV (4K) and they have all in the past week developed this weird quirk that they can no longer scrub through a YouTube video in the YouTube app. If i want to rewind or fast forward it just isn't possible. I've tried it on different AppleTV with the same outcome. I can bring up the video info (similar to this image I found online) but can no longer rewind or scrub forward. Am I missing something?
