Big Sur Update Stuck - Trying Recovery Mode Posted: 16 Nov 2021 10:48 PM PST Hello everyone. So, to give a backstory, I tried upgrading my 2017 MacBook Air to Big Sur from High Sierra back in September. It's been stuck on the progress bar since then, and I've tried all the tips Apple gave me. The last thing Apple wanted me to do was enter in Safe Mode. Which worked, sort of. Apparently my version is Big Sur now. However, when I try going off of Safe Mode and try to boot it up normally, it's still stuck on the progress bar! I basically wanted to follow the instructions from this website: https://mrmacintosh.com/macos-upgrade-to-big-sur-failed-stuck-progress-bar-fix-prevention/ and figure out what else I can do. I'm trying to do the "Your Upgrade Has Already Failed" portion. However, when I try to do the Disk Utility, Recovery Mode prompts me to reset my login password. I'm very confused as what I should do at this point. Should I reset my password in order to access Disk Utility? Or should I do something else? I put my phone on charge at night, and every morning Messages opens to a blank / black screen. Restarting the app does nothing…only a power cycle restores the app. I charge it overnight, the same thing happens , every single time. Started about a week ago. I sent a screen recording to Apple and I'm waiting to hear back, if I do at all. One of my AirPods Pro doesn't charge to 100% Posted: 16 Nov 2021 07:39 PM PST At first I thought this was because of optimized charging, but then why would only one of the two stop charging around 80%? I always use both at the same time so it's not like I'm using the battery of one more than the other. AirPods connect to other IPhones Posted: 16 Nov 2021 09:50 PM PST My airpods connect to my other family members IPhones. I have tried doing what online says and changing the setting to "when last connected" option instead of "automatically" nothing seems to work. And now my airpods wont even connect back to my phone. I can be listening to audio then my airpods switch back to a family members iPhone, that's not even supposed to happen according to Apples description of automatic switch feature. I really hate this feature and it's not useful at all, it's really only for people who live alone with multiple Apple devices, but living with family or roommates (LIKE MOST PEOPLE WHO OWN IPHONES) it sucks. Pls is there anything I can do to stop this? I've read the Apple support article on the internet that explains the procedure. However, for my bank account, I've registered my email as my current iCloud address. Can't log into apple account, no support available? Posted: 16 Nov 2021 09:14 PM PST When I try to log into my apple ID with my email, it tells me I need 2-factor authentication with phone number ending in 67. I do not and have never had a number ending in that. No other options exist, saying I don't have that just asks me to confirm the phone number I don't have. From what I can google, no support exists for apple without the ability to login to my apple ID.
