- I took me over an hour to get this far into transferring my data from my 12 to my 13 and now my 13 has been stuck on this screen for over 20 minutes. What’s going on?

- iPhone 13 Pro battery went from 90% to 20% while I was sleeping, what happened? Was on a wireless charger and must have been crooked hence the no charging, but surely the screen switching on intermittently for that alone isn’t enough?

I have iPhone XS iOS 14.8 My language is set to English. However on facebook marketplace (where I have mainly noticed it) there is language that I don't recognize. I don't know why it's there or how to remove it. All facebook support page says is to change desired language on iPhone settings. But it's already English. Any assistance would be appreciated. Today, 24 days later, I decided to take a look at the battery health/capacity and was shocked when I noticed it dropped to 84%. An apparently whopping drop of 16% in capacity. | iTunes not backing up all data to computer Posted: 07 Oct 2021 10:35 PM PDT Trying to back up my iPhone so I can migrate to a new one but iTunes isn't backing up all my data for some reason. I authorized the computer (as the popup instructed me) when trying to back up for the first time. But of the 51.9GB of data on my phone (according to settings storage), only 40.36 was backed up to my computer and I have absolutely no idea why. Any guesses? [link] [comments]  | ||

| How can I have two phone numbers on my iPhone? Posted: 07 Oct 2021 09:00 PM PDT I have been trying to figure out the best way to have a business phone number as well as my personal number both on my iPhone XR. I have pre-ordered the iPhone 13 Pro and will be upgrading soon. I have been using Google Voice and it has worked okay, but it isn't ideal for a variety of reasons. I understand that there is a Dual Sim and E Sim capability that works with only some providers. I have Xfinity and have read that they do offer this service, was told once by a rep on the phone that they do, and have been told three times by other reps that they do not. The last Xfinity rep I spoke with said that they definitely do not, but AT&T (his former employer) does. He used it with AT&T and said that it was not a good experience. AT&T charges for two phone lines, which ends up being pretty expensive. Two lines at Xfinity would be half the price if they were to offer this capability. I don't want to go through the trouble and expense of switching to AT&T if the two phone lines don't work well. Can anyone speak to their experience with two phone lines with AT&T? Can anyone verify that it is not possible to have two phone lines with Xfinity? How do people use the Dual Sim or E Sim capability? Has anyone gone through this process of trying to have two lines on one phone?? I don't need the suggestion to simply have two iPhones as I am aware of that option. I appreciate any and all feedback! | Gurgling static noise while on call (IPhone) Posted: 07 Oct 2021 08:07 PM PDT So like the title says I was on a call with my friend for about an hour and then out of no where a really loud gurgling sounding static noise started to play. I hung up and called again but it was still there, then he hung up and called back and it wasent there but I couldn't hear him but then on the third try everything was fixed. We both could hear it and I have no idea what was going on. Aside from the gurgling noise it sounded like really heavy wind and sometimes I thought I heard it voice but it sounded like it was being played backwards. Any idea what happened? After the first few days, anyone calling me would go straight to voicemail. It was intermittent, a call or two a week. Then it got worse and worse, until 2 weeks ago, all calls, including saved contacts, went straight to voicemail. After speaking with my carrier, and swapping SIM cards, they claimed it to be an apple issue. Speaking with apple, they say it is a carrier issue and therefore wouldn't do a warranty swap on my phone. So, I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place. Today, I decided to just bite the bullet, I use the phone for work and don't want to keep missing calls, so I bought an iPhone 13 pro. Worked great for the first 2 phone calls that came in. Since then, everything has gone to voicemail. I only know this because one person sent a text, telling me that. It is a brand new phone Brand new SIM card Do not disturb is turned off Silence junk callers is off Silence unknown numbers is off Network settings have been reset too many times to count. It sounds like they are speaking inside a cardboard box. This is not regarding headset calls or speakerphone calls, but standard phone calls. I am told by my friends that I sound fine to them. (AT&T, United States) However, I'm seeing that the new iPhone has something called "eSIM." Does that mean I no longer should actually input my SIM card as long as I have a WiFi connection to set it up? Or should I just do it how I normally do it? I have a 12 pro 128 GB that I had to get replaced by apple last year after 2 weeks of owning the new phone (at that time). I had received a "bad apple" after I happened to notice a dead pixel on the screen which apparently passed their diagnostic testing. They finally replaced it after I showed them the location of the dead pixel. My 13 pro is still in process but as far as the trade-in value goes, will they reduce the price they quoted me ($640) due to the previous phone being a replacement? My wife and I both got the 256gb Iphone 13 Pros, but I noticed mine felt slightly heavier for some reason. Took out a cooking scale to see, and turns out mine (the graphite one) is 206 grams, while hers (silver one) is 204 grams. 204 is the published weight by Apple, so seems a bit odd. The "down" button seems to be depressed slightly more than the up button. Is this a styling feature (down being recessed lower) or is this possibly a flaw with the device? | How to backup an iPhone that won’t connect to a PC via cable? Posted: 07 Oct 2021 01:58 PM PDT Hi so a long while ago I got water in my lightning port. I'm not sure what exactly it did, but now it won't connect to a computer via a cable and it's picky with what wall chargers it can use. (Also fingerprint doesn't work when charging.) It must have shorted something, but once I was able to get this phone up and charging again I wasn't too pressed. Fast forward to the present and I just got the iPhone 12 mini. I'm excited to set it up, the problem is backing up the old phone. Any way to I can get around this? The phone in question is the original iPhone SE, running IOS 14.8. EDIT: I've bought all the wires under the sun, looked up many guides and tried their steps. It's just not going to connect via a cord. [link] [comments]  | ||
