    Mac Mini 2018 with a Focusrite 18i20 hooking into 7.1. Only getting a 5.1 feed from AppleTV. Testing with movies like Star Wars Ep 9 and others that definitely have atmos mixes and therefore should play 7.1.

    Is youtube search just showing a blank screen for anyone else?

    On the latest apple tv and latest software version. Hard wired internet connected. As of mid day today I am unable to even access search on youtube.

    As an aside youtube is just such a junk app, I feel like google is doing this on purpose at this point. I pay for youtube premium, performance has only gotten worse recently. Videos play failrly quickly but any kind of ui is unresponsive. If somoene could make a 3rd party youtube app for apple tv Id be all over it.

    New AppleTV Siri remote question

    I replaced the awful touchpad remote with a new Siri remote. I hate how I paid 60 bucks to replace a remote that Apple screwed up so bad. I'm able to power on my Vizio tv with the power button on the new Apple TV remote, but unable to power the tv off. CEC is enabled on the tv. I am able to control the volume with the remote. Any ideas?

    So this issue really only revolves around the HBO Max app on my apple TV. Pretty consistently I will be watching the show and get the little circle thing telling me its trying to connect or whatever. This will persist until I close the app and reopen it. It will happen at LEAST once an episode if im watching a show and its becoming quite annoying. The strange thing however, is that I dont get this connection Issue on any other apple TV apps, or If Im using the HBO MAX app through my Samsung smart tv (the one the apple tv is attached to). So HBO MAX seems to only malfunction on the apple TV.

    Apple TV 4K on Sony X900h

    Just got my 2nd gen Apple TV 4K and so far loving it! Super fast. One thing I noticed though when I turn it off and back on it keeps asking me to try out Dolby vision. Can I get it to remember the setting to not now. It only appears for half a second. My screen goes blank and then I get to the screen with all my apps. Just a minor annoyance.

    Curious to see what everyone is using with their Apple TV's. I have a HD and 4k model. Looking to get something preferably under $300. Something that doesn't have much delay or problems connecting.

    Apple TV volume control woes

    Just got a new Apple TV 4K, and the remote just won't learn volume control. Turned on CEC on (LG) TV, but it stays greyed out. The only options in remote are Auto/Off. No TV via IR option. When I clinic learn remote, the progress bars done move.

    So frustrating!

    Was using older Apple TV prior to this with zero issues with volume control. Even got a new Siri remote for that one in the past month, after losing an older remote, and that one learnt volume with no issues.

    Running out of ideas on how to fix this. Thoughts?

    TV App Downloads on iPad Interrupted when Sleeping

    Hey, all. I'm trying to download shows in the Apple TV app on my iPad but whenever the iPad goes to sleep the downloading stops. Is this a feature or a bug? Does anyone else have this issue or a solution?

    Apple TV + HomePod mini stereo pair Airplay issues

    Hey guys,

    I'm not sure if this is something I've done in settings or just how its intended to work but I'm trying to figure out HomePod mini stereo pair.

    I have the two connected to my Apple TV fine and that works great, but occasionally I want to play music directly to the HomePods (say from my Mac or Phone) and now it's turning the projector (with HDMI-CEC) on every time.

    Is there no way to target the HomePods without the Apple TV being involved after they've been connected?

    Sound randomly drops out

    My sound keeps randomly keeps dropping out and back in. Even the navigation (scrolling) sounds. Reset/restart does nothing. Settings are correct.

    If anyone has any experience with this issue any insight would be very appreciated. I'm losing my mind.

    New ATV black screen and switching to external speakers when turning on with Sony Bravia.

    This is my first Apple TV ever and bought to replace the old android tv embedded on the Sony Bravia 75x800G Tv and HT-X9000F sound bar. Everything is good after some configuration however when I turn on the ATV, it shows that is"switching to external speakers " and I get black screen while doing so. I don't like it seeing that. Not Apple like behavior.

    My set up is ATV HDMI connected to the sound bar hdmi in then the sound bar connected to the TV.

    The embedded android is set to connect to the external audio system and on ATV I only have the option to choose TV speakers. I also tried changing android to tv speaker but that did not help.

    Any suggestions so the ATV connects to the sound bar straight and not trying to switch every single time I turn it on ?

    Not sure why I can't set up the ATV to connect straight to the sound bar.

    I have updated the ATV last night and that did not fix any issues.

    AppleTV 3rd Generation setup with no remote

    So I got this ATV from my uncle, but it was missing it's original remote. I can't seem to set it up with my phone or laptop, is there any way to manage setting it up at all with no remote?
