| it's time to go. replacing my X with new 13 Pro Max when it arrives Posted: 01 Sep 2021 02:59 PM PDT so it's been amazing 4 years with this phone, and i'd keep it for longer, but last few weeks were a mess. i replaced my battery recently at apple, and i still can't get more than half a day on normal usage (no gaming, just social media, chat, and photos), while 12 Pro Max can get even 14h SOT on some tests, and 7h gaming while X gets around 2h 30m, which is worst of all iphones tested here, and other tests prove it too. (https://youtu.be/UAfdOYkZTKg) even my friend's Xs with smaller battery and worse health gets better results than my X with normal usage there is also something wrong with the CPU too, keyboard is laggy while i'm typing this post, and my friend's 8+ is much faster in opening apps, etc. than my X so i guess it's time to replace, it's been amazing 4 years and if it wasn't acting weird and if battery would be better, i would use it for more definitely hope that new 13 pro max will give me also at least those 4 years of amazing service! are you guys replacing your X too? When I am browsing internet using Safari and there is an instagram account I wanna visit, I open the account and the Safari offers me to open this site in the app. I wanna open the app so I touch open and instead of opening Instagram it opens AppStore with on Instagram listed in it. It just doesn't open the Instagram app like I was used to earlier. I don't know if this happens because of the ios (I have the newest) or there might be anything else to do something with it. | Change out battery or upgrade to iPhone 12/13? Posted: 31 Aug 2021 04:07 PM PDT I currently own an iPhone X, 256gb since January 2018. I've had this phone for a little over 3 and a half years and the battery is now at 79% and states I should go get it serviced/replaced. I'm waiting for the new iPhones to be revealed and will decide if I want to upgrade to a newer iPhone or replace the battery in my X. Is replacing the battery worth it? My phone's memory is almost used up (250gb used due to a lot of photos/videos). I'm trying to avoid another phone payment, and my X still work flawlessly despite the weaker battery. Posted: 31 Aug 2021 08:39 PM PDT I've been taking care of the battery (charging between 30-80, keeping cool temperature, low power mode, etc.) and I had 100% battery health after a year of using the iPhone X. Now I have reduced taking care of my battery as much and it is has been a year so I understand if it drops by 1%, but 2% in a week? [link] [comments]  |
