    iBooks question involving Audiobook

    Hello All,

    I just bought a MacBook Pro 2020 iOS Big Sur

    I have transferred all my stuff from my old MacBook Pro iOS Mojave and as we all know in Big Sur iBooks is now the place where audiobooks go. The transfer was successful but I have 1 audiobook that is missing its book cover. How do I attach a book cover to it?

    The lovely people at Apple couldn't figure it out. So I am hoping someone here might have a solution to this problem.

    Hi my mac keeps restarting randomly I am not really sure why this is happening it has only started recently is it some kinda option? it only restarts when i put it to sleep for an hr or longer

    Mac shortcut to turn off screen when using external display

    Hi, i'm using Monterey beta and see the new "Shortcut" feature (it's for automate things in Monterey) and wonder if anyone has written a shortcut to turn off macbook's screen whenever it detects an external display connected (and turn the screen back on when external display is disconnected)?

    Hello! I'm currently running Big Sur, but I really miss (and love) the Mojave background. I was looking for the heic file of the dynamic Mojave background but couldn't find it anywhere. I'm not looking for the seperate jpg files though. Any chances of anyone having it? I would really appreciate it if someone could share.

    File management between iphone and MacOS is terrible compared to windows

    Not trolling. I have a large amount of audiobook files that aren't tied to audible or apple books. Using itunes on windows, I can drag and drop the file into the iphone and trust that it will appear in the books app for listening.

    On MacOS? Nope. Can't copy via finder. Can't load with imazing. I don't see a way to push a single audiobook file to the iphone have it appear in the books when using MacOS.

    MacOS is not pleasant to use with it comes to stuff like this. What am I SUPPOSE to do on MacOS to make this happen?

    Why is Reminders continuously the worst Apple app?

    For years I used an alternative to do list app on my iphone and macbook (TickTick), but then when Reminders was updated last year, I went back to using it. I like that it works seamlessly with my watch and phone and macbook, and Siri can set reminders for me.

    BUT it's really awful. I have lists set up (personal, work, shopping etc.) and due dates. But I find due dates and sorting to be so totally clunky. Why don't I have options to make special lists on the side other than "today" and "scheduled?" I sort a list by due date, and it reverts back to manual every single time. And one of my biggest pet peeves is not being able to drag and drop an email (or anything) and make it a to-do.

    Does Apple have any plans to make this more user friendly and robust? Has anyone had success fully integrating an alternative app like TickTick into Siri, watch, etc.?

    NeXT emulator for M1 Mac?

    Is there a (NeXTStep, OpenStep) emulator that works decently on the M1 Macs? I enjoy booting up old software, as microcomputer and minicomputer history are a hobby. I used to have a NeXT emulator running under Windows, but I'm not even sure what it was called.

    Drag and Drop won't work on main account

    Not sure what's causing this. Using a Mac mini with cabled mouse. I'll be able to drag for the first 5 seconds after log in and it stops. Other accounts I log into are able to drag and drop no problem. It's just my main account. Im assuming its an app. I've done as much as I could from a google searching.

    Is there a way I can figure what the cause is without uninstalling everything and having to restart after each install?

    How do I disable SIP (System Integrity Protection) on my MacBook Air 2017?

    I have tried everything and asked on some forums but everyone says to press power-command-r, but it takes me to a password recovery screen without the terminal even if I do it in a different order. When I press the keys it just ticks a bunch and asks me if I want to power off.

    Hi, I just got a Mac mini M1 to replace my old PC My monitor bis a BenQ sw271 4k It's mainly for photo editing. On windows 10 I was working with a 4k resolution with 150% for text, etc

    But on macOS I don't have this option, right ?

    If I put it at 4k I can't see anything so what should I do ?

    Work in full hd ?😶

    Boot Windows 10 from VHD on macOS Catalina 10.15.7

    Hello, I have a mid-2012 MacBook Air and I would like to know if there is a possibility to boot Windows 10 from VHD. I have no idea how I'll create a Windows 10 VHD but if this isn't possible then I'm not gonna waste my time, and also this isn't the right place to ask. First, in a previous post, I asked how I could boot an ISO file without USB, but people told me I couldn't. Next I want to try this. Being an old MacBook Air, it will struggle running a VM so that's not an option either. I saw a guy saying he uses to boot from VHD since partitioning isn't practical on Macs, and a Google search gave me some useless results, because they're all about booting macOS from VHD, but I want to boot Windows. The reason I want this is because I want to test a game that my current phone can't run (I have an iPhone 6 which isn't mine and I'll get my real phone back from warranty but the game on there lags a lot and the device overheats), and it's much more optimized on PC, but only available for Windows. For now, all I have is this MacBook Air and no external storage drive. I'll find the support software myself. So can I boot Windows 10 from VHD?

    macOS Catalina installation hangs on loading screen on unsupported device

    Hi guys,

    I've been trying for some time now to upgrade my old Early 2011 MacBook Pro from High Sierra to Catalina or Ben Sur.

    I've upgraded the MacBook to 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD a few years ago and I see no major reason not to be able to use Catalina on it.

    First thing I did was to install the latest High Sierra updates and reinstall the OS, so right now I have nothing on my Mac except the OS and the Catalina patcher.

    I've used dosdude1's Catalina patcher to download the installation files and create the installation bootable media.

    After that, I've booted from the external drive and the loading screen appeared. First, I've used a USD drive and after hours, it got stuck at the end. I left the Mac on over night but nothing changed so I decided to use an external SSD for this step. While the process was a lot faster this time, it still got stuck at the end.

    Any ideas or suggestions? Or maybe some other way to install Catalina or BenSur?

    Touchbar not changing with apps

    Ever since I installed the Monterey beta my TouchBar will only display buttons from brightness up/down, keyboard backlight up/down, and volume mute/up/down.

    Does anyone else have this problem/know how to fix it?
