- So today I decided to turn on Sync my Music with my Windows PC iTunes and iPhone 11. I previously canceled my Apple Music Sub, incase that helps any. What do the grey dotted circles mean in the iPhone Music Section? They all seem to play on both devices.

This has happened both with my 11 Pro Max and my new 12 Pro, so I'm assuming this is something I have to fix at a router level, I'm just not sure how as I've tried all the basics such as restarting, powering off and on, etc. Essentially if I don't use my phone for a little bit, when I go to unlock it I'm connected to my wifi like normal, but there's no connection. I have to pull down my settings menu and disconnect and reconnect. It works literally right after it reconnects. I have to do this almost every time I don't unlock my phone after a few minutes. Toggling WiFi always fixes it but of course, it's really annoying. What's the solution for this? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 14 Aug 2021 06:08 PM PDT So I'm on vacation and staying in a place with password protected wifi for guests, however when I connect I receive the "weak security" notice. So I've since disconnected and did a little research. From my understanding, this displays when the router is using an old security protocol, one which could be more easily cracked. This makes sense to me, the data being sent between the device and router could potentially be intercepted and interpreted. However, isn't all iOS traffic encrypted anyways? Even if the data between device and router was grabbed, wouldn't it still be encrypted? What is the actual threat posed by this weak security message for a router using the outdated protocol - even more-so in this instance (vacation home)? Surely there has to be one, otherwise Apple wouldn't have added this warning in ios14. Just trying to learn and understand things. Thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||

| Is it possible to unlock an iPhone? Posted: 14 Aug 2021 05:16 PM PDT Is it possible to unlock an iPhone with a passcode on it. The phone is an iPhone xs max. A bit of backstory on why. My friend passed away near the end of last year and he was someone who didn't like getting his picture taken. Any pictures of him are the rare selfie or a picture of him sent from us, however they only exist on his phone. I have a couple pictures of him but not something that I could consider a good picture to remember him by. His mom also doesn't have any and the ones she does are the ones I shared with her. Recently his mom and I talked and she asked about unlocking his phone to see if we could get any pictures off of it. He used to say his whole life was on his phone as he kept everything on it. His passcode is 4 numbers and it has the face unlock thing. They also disconnected his service sometime in March not sure if it needs to still have service. I don't know what version he was on but it would've been the latest one at the time which would be whichever one was available during December 2020. Someone said we could reset the phone but I'm not sure if that means we would lose everything on it? I recently switched to iPhone myself but I don't know enough about it to know if it's possible or not. If I'm missing any information I can answer in the comments. After updating to iOS 14.7.1 on my iPhone XR, the photos from the camera app have been blurry (if i zoom in the photo and then zoom out the blur goes away) but even then they are pixelated. This problem occured after i installed iOS 14.3. Everything was fine on 14.2. I tried closing the camera app and open it again and i also restarted my phone but neither of those steps helped. Also i forgot to mention, if i take photos on the instagram or facebook messenger apps, the photos are fine. The problem only occurs while using the camera app. I really need to fix it cause my camera is literally unusable. Does anyone have the same issue? Can anyone help please? My husband and my friend both have androids and when I try to send messages to them it won't send. I have tried to turn on and off message, put my phone on airplane mode that will help with sending the messages but on my end it goes through but my husband won't receive them on his end. My photos app keeps showing me memories. I managed to tell it not to show most pictures of my ex using people, but a lot of the memories were taken in my old house and still come up as "home". I've changed my home address in my contacts but it's still there. It also shows me "furry friends" or "family" and I keep seeing my old life, pets I can't see and my house. I have deleted it from my home screen because I just can't take it anymore, but then when I need to go into it it's a pain. Can I remove the home tag retrospectively? Posted: 14 Aug 2021 12:11 PM PDT Weird. iTunes v12.11.4.15 decided to recopy my 64-bit W10 Pro PC's 1,888 songs (MP3s) over when I did a synch to my new iPhone 12 mini. | control center and photos help Posted: 14 Aug 2021 11:57 AM PDT So I recently updated my iphone 8 to the latest ios and now whenever I have my phone sideways like when I'm watching youtube, when I open the control center the right side is cut off and I have to scroll to the side to see the rest of it. It didn't used to be like this before I updated my phone and now it bothers me since it's off center. Is there anyway to change this back?
