    Jailbreaks work by modifying the current software on the device. And still require the device to be running iOS.

    BUT: I am wondering if it's possible that a device once jailbroken, could be used to install a fake iOS version (a clone that's modified) that is just another OS. This OS that is cloned from iOS would have its benefits for the jailbreak and hacker community.

    It would remove the security protocols around updating and allow it to receive its own updates from its creators. It would allow updates to be given to these devices just like updating over WiFi except let's call this new OS cr4ckedOS. You jailbreak and then download the repo to install cr4ackedOS. It takes a version of iOS that has been cloned with certain features removed and added. Hence no longer being iOS but now cr4ckedOS ver 1.0. Then updates could be given to clone and copy the most current iOS versions. Allowing you to update to the latest version of iOS and remain jailbroken. Cr4ckedOS.

    In short: let's say iPhone is just a windows pc. You remove and wipe windows from it and install another OS that is just a clone of windows. To the user nothing looks different. But you'd have access to things normally not accessible by normal means.

    The hard part I'm guessing is tricking the phone into verifying the update with Apple. This is why the phone would need to be jailbroken in order to exploit the hacked firmware. It may not be possible but I think this is a neat idea to help those who are on lower iOS versions have a shot of updating and staying on the latest versions and still maintains a jailbreak without ever saving blobs.

    In iOS 13, there is a « recents » folder that shows all the pictures in my phone, without sorting them, there is also an instagram folder for instagram photos and a whatsapp folder for all the whatsapp medias.

    But i was wondering if a tweak exists which could create a new folder with only photos taken from the camera or just the camera app and not merging it with whatsapp photos or instagram ones like it is happening right now while using the « recents » folder.

    [help] Hello. So both of my phones my iPhone 6s Plus 14.7.1 and my iPhone 8 14.6 are both jailbroken. I have installed safe shutdown on both of them. Why when my iPhone 6s Plus dies the jailbreak stays but on my iPhone 8 the jailbreak just goes away and I cannot access cydia.

    Hello everyone,

    Hoping someone can provide some insight. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max running iOS 14.2, had the Taurine jailbreak but switched to unc0ver. At random times, the system will either run slow when unlocked the device/in an app, or some apps will just show a black screen then crash (mainly system apps) If I provide a tweak list, can someone maybe point out a possible problem tweak, assuming it is a tweak causing the issue?

    Playing Slay the Spire is annoying as you have to swipe up from the bottom of your screen to play your cards which brings you to the home screen every once in a while. Could sometimes be game losing lol.

    Is there any app or tweak that can allow manually playing a video frame-by-frame?

    The process would be: stopping a video and then some user action would advance the video by one frame, until the next user action. (Obviously the audio would not be playing.)

    Contacts Extended was released almost two weeks ago. I got dozens of positive feedbacks, suggestions and NO BUGS REPORT! (ok.. maybe one or two but don't tell anyone..)

    Since the initial Release, I heard you, and added your top-wanted features to contacts extended!

    What was changed since the initial 1.0 release up to now, version 1.3?

    • The ability to use quick reference to Whatsapp/telegram/Stock SMS on a contact - not only in your "Recent Calls" screen, but also in your Contacts, and favorites!
    • Added quick swipe actions available also while searching a contact!
    • Added full support to the native Contact App
    • Added CallLogPro Support!
    • Added the ability to color your recent calls by categories - Incoming Calls, Outgoing Calls, and Missed/others calls!
    • Redesign preferences from scratch - now you can control each screen individually if you wish to disable one or more features
    • New refreshing tweak icon
    • Added conflicts with swipetodeletecontact and coloredlogs since you don't need them at all

    Those looking for a solution to the finger fatigue problem when scrolling endlessly may enjoy a newly released Jailbreak Tweak called AutoScroll by iOS developer pxcex. Just as the name implies, this add-on incorporates automatic scrolling into iOS.

    AutoScroll is very easy to use. Upon swiping once to get started, the tweak disables iOS' native scrolling inertia, which means no slowdown and no halt. Consequently, the scrolling effect endures with no end until stopped with a tap.
