    So very recently the memory on my iPhone has gone from less than half full to nearly full. The "other" part is occupying more than all of the other applications stored on my phone combined.

    I have tried deleting email accounts, clearing the Safari cache and deleted all the applications that I am now using. No change.

    What can I do?

    Cannot open or delete Instagram

    Hi, this issue started earlier today when I was attempting to change my AppStore region in order to get some extra Instagram features (dumb, I know, but I was bored). I'm running ios 12.4.7 on an old iPhone 6 (I'm worried about it slowing down if I update it) and had jailbroken my phone in order to get a free VPN to change my Apple ID location. My intent was to completely delete Instagram but every time I tried to some data would stay left behind, and I thought that if I used Filza File Manager it would just delete everything with no trace of any old accounts. It didn't work and I could still open the app, so I went to settings to delete it and that's when the problem started. Every time I went into iPhone storage and pressed 'Delete App' for Instagram it would just pop back up in the menu with all my other apps. When trying to open Instagram through my home page it just immediately closes, and through the app store, nothing happens if I press the 'Open' option on the Instagram app. I have restarted my phone multiple times, signed in and out of my Apple ID, un-jailbroken my phone & more but nothing seems to work.

    I understand if you can't help because I think this is a jailbreak-related issue which I assume is a whole different thing to normal iPhone issues.

    iCloud issue

    Hey! So I logged out of my Apple ID today because I wanted to make a new one but I couldn't make a new one for some reason without logging out of my ICloud and I can't do that because I forgot my password and when I wanted to reset it, it wanted me to type in my phone number but it just said that verification failed and I also can't erase all content/settings because of the same reason and now I am stuck in a loop. Doesn't let me log out because it says it can't connect to server, can't erase my phone and the "log in to your ICloud" message started popping as soon as I logged out of my Apple ID. Please help.

    Dead Spot on iPhone Touchscreen

    Hello guys any help would be appreciated it.

    I'm trying to hold on for another few months to a year before I just drop the money for a new phone so would really like to avoid replacing the screen right now. But I dropped it causing a one app sized dead spot in the top right of my phone (display is still visible but is unresponsive to touch). Obviously this spot causes trouble as it is a popular location for interaction on a lot of apps. My first though was to work around through assistive touch, but I can't create the gesture I want because the spot is dead. Any suggestions?

    iCloud Backups?

    I have a standard iPhone 11, with 256gb base storage and 2tb iCloud storage, and just recently I've finally hit my storage limit (I do a lot of video editing in 4k/1080p). Just yesterday, I unfortunately ran into the god awful mishap in which my phone completely bricked itself practically (Boot loop). I've tried installing the latest firmware via iTunes and 3utools, but no avail. In lack of another route, I decided to drop all the stress and wipe it (Of which I haven't done yet).

    Although the concept itself is simple to digest, I just needed some reassurance; the last six years of my life are solidified in my photos, videos etc. after all. I have virtually everything I care about toggled on regarding iCloud storage. I just wanted to know whether or not the items I've re-downloaded (In the instance where one would 'download' the full-quality image/video from iCloud to view it as such in their camera roll) would count towards the restoration process.

    Reassurance in any way shape or form would be highly appreciated. Thank you :)

    Alarm from iPhone 8 going off on old phone, and not on my SE

    Yesterday I got an SE to replace my iPhone 8. Moved the SIM card over and set up my new phone with all of my iCloud backup

    For some reason, my alarm that I have set for every day is not going off on my new phone or my watch. But it's blaring on my iPhone 8, and because the phone is not working properly, I have no way of shutting it off

    When I was at work today, apparently the phone had an alarm go off. But I don't have any alarms set for during the day

    Why would this happen?

    New iphone 12 mini won’t turn on right out of the box.

    Hi! Just received my new iphone 12 mini today. Took it out the box, switched sim cards, plugged it in. Nothing. Even after an hour of charge… black screen. I tried the reset (volume up, volume down, press down power button) and still nothing. Even if it had a drained battery, wouldn't it show a sign of life after a few minutes?

    iPhone8 SIM card issue. Hello i recently found out that my iPhone8 doesn’t recognise my SIM card. The SIM card is perfectly fine. I tried everything, resetting the network, turned on aeroplane for abit, rebooted my iPhone couple times, blew air through the SIM card area but nothing worked, help me.

    iPhone 11 mic stopped working for calls/snapchat. Camera unaffected.

    My iPhone 11 microphone has stopped working for calls and snapchat. The camera both front/back modes work just fine. I've cleaned the entire phone with an air compressor and there still isn't any sound coming from the mic. As soon as I try to record via snapchat, there's a "POP" sound followed by complete silence.

    I haven't exposed my phone to any new conditions and there has never been any kind of moisture near my phone. What is going on here?

    EDIT: Things I've done but that have failed:

    • Enabled/disabled apps
    • Restarted phone
    • Phone is up to date
    • Turned on/off airplane, wifi, data and bluetooth
    • Turned off noise cancellation
    • Ripped my hair out of my head from frustration

    UPDATE:

    Found out the issue real quick! Discord app was still muted when I had closed out of the app 2 hours ago. I reopened the app and unmuted myself. Low and behold, everything is in working order again. I hope no one has to deal with this crap.

    Extract iTunes backup

    I had the iOS 15 beta installed on my iPhone 11, and I decided to roll back to 14.7.1. Didn't want to lose my data so I followed this tutorial, and when I tried to restore the backup iTunes says it's corrupted. iTunes backup extractors can access the backup, but the problem is that they are expensive. Is there a free iTunes backup extractor (not been able to find one) or a way to at least get the photos and videos extracted from the backup so I can manually sync them?

    iphone missing music app ?

    i got my phone secondhand , its an iphone 6s.

    strangely the music app is nowhere to be found , same with calculator app. There could be others missing but I'm not aware of every app .

    I search for the app in the app store , and in the search bar on the iphone home screen. Don't see anywhere to download it again, and I thought these were stock apps that you cant delete.

    Is this normal ? How do I get the apps back?

    Face Id working, but the frontal camera is totally black.

    I can still unlock my phone with no problem using the Face Id, but when I open the frontal camera it's just black, it doesn't take photos and the regular back one is still working.

    I've already messed a bit on the configurations and hard reset the phone (pressing up, down on the volume then holding the power button) but it still won't work.

    Anyone has any Idea on what can I do?

    Hiding an iMessage/text convo without an app

    There's an iMessage/text conversation I'd rather not see everyday but I want to save it in case I want to go back to it someday. What's the easiest way to hide it or archive it so that it doesn't show up in my list of conversations?

    I can look up something on an older phone like the XR and it goes quicker and I can accept calls but don't get calls . Is it becuase of the 5G in a rural area but most of the time it automatically switched to LTE so I'm not the only one

    I was at vacation in another country (this info will be useful later) when my phone fell and screen is now unresponsive, i could at least enter on it with my fingerprint. However a few days later it run out of battery so it now needs me to enter the numbers, if that wasn't enough I cannot use Bluetooth because in the plane (link to info at the start) I had too put it on airplane mode, which means I apparently cannot use Siri now, which also means that I cannot take air plain mode off again. Worst part of all it's that along it's 7 years of life it has grown a little bent, so idk if I will be able to change the screen. To resume:
    -unresponsive screen
    -no wifi (therefore no Siri)
    -slightly bent screen (may be unfixable)

    Hello.

    Does iPhone 12 (mini) no longer vibrate when connecting an USB power charger? This is assuming with its silent mode on. I can't find the option to still vibrate for power connection to recharge the battery in IOS v14.7.1's settings. It does vibrate if the silent mode switch is off. My older iPhones (6 + and 4S) do vibrate with their silent mode on when connecting to power sources to recharge their batteries.

    I bought the iphone 12 pro a few months back, but only started using fast charging a week back. But whenever i use the apple original 20w adapter my phone overheats like anything. Is this normal or is there some other issue?

    YouTube Video screen flickers when low brightness.

    [IPhone XS, IOS 14.4, only happens when video is in full screen]

    When the brightness is in the lower half of the scale, YouTube Videos start flickering.

    The Video does not stop playing when the flickering is happening, it quickly changes from low to high brightness every two seconds.

    When recording the screen the flickering stops.

    This happens in the Youtube App but also in the web.

    I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but it did not solve the problem.

    It has been happening for a few months already, does anybody know what this means?

    My iPhone 7 battery is "significantly degraded", suggestion please.

    My iPhone 7 shows battery status as "significantly degraded" i.e., at 79%. It gives Screen On Time of 2.5 Hrs from 90% charged to 15% level when I use it cautiously. Any phone call or YouTube video discharges it too fast. Expecting iOS 15 this year, not sure of next year OS update. Now I need to know worthiness of replacing battery from Apple Care in 2021.

    Question about iPhone 12, Verizon, and Reception

    Accessing old iPhone w/ broken screen

    Hi, any suggestions on how to control my old phone to complete a backup?

    The screen is entirely unresponsive (water damage) but turns on and I can see the "unlock to use accessories" alert.

    iCloud backup is turned off and I turned off WiFi&Bluetooth before the screen broke so my options are limited.
