But I know for a fact there's a lot to learn about this laptop since I have a complete different experience with windows.     Got my first Mac today �� early 2015 ,13” MacBook Air and I’m in love . Coming from only using windows it’s amazing . And It game my iPhone XS a whole lot more function. I just love how these two integrate together .

    Just got my new macbook pro, I loved the macbook pro 15inch 2015 had over 6 years. However, My 2015 macbook couldn't even load 4k files it was that bad!. For those on the fence on getting an M1 MacBook Pro 13inch it's great for editing!! 😊

    Advice on MacBook Pro (Retina, Early 2015, 13 Inch)

    Hello guys,
    I am still on El Capitan since I got my MacBook Pro in 2016. It hasn't caused me any problems to date and honestly, still runs like an absolute champ except for some minor bluetooth problems once in a while.

    The thing is, I am going off to uni abroad next month and don't want my laptop to give up mid way during the academic year. I want to know what you guys think. Will this laptop last or do you advice me buying a new one? Or should I upgrade to a newer OS on this? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks a lot!

    Apologies if this has been asked before. I have been using windows for years and have never had MacOS. I'm an engineering student that spontaneously needs software that isn't on MacOS, such as PTC Creo this summer, and other (more obscure) software. I'm worried that switching over to Mac will cause me to have issues with software. I am aware of Parallels, so I was wondering if anyone has good/bad experiences to share about using Windows on Mac. Thanks!

    Screen keeps dimming . Help

    My new M1 MacBook Air screen keeps dimming after I close the lid and come back and open it up again . I like to keep my brightness at Max. Keeps defaulting to half brightness after closing the lid. How do I fix that?

    MacBook Air opens to the desktop, doesn't ask to unlock

    Hello. Opening my MacBook Air (with TouchID) takes me to the desktop, without prompting me to unlock with TouchID or my username and password. Oddly, if the first thing I do is touch the touchid button with my registered finger, the screen will lock and require my pw or TouchID. Any ideas? Thanks!

    I'm curious if the new M1 Macs have any options for running VM's at all given that they are now ARM and not Intel. I'm referring of course to programs like Oracle VirtualBox or VM FusionWare.

    What Should I Buy to Ensure MacBook is Long-Lasting

    I just bought an M1 MacBook Air (my first MacBook ever) and I'm looking to take as best care of it as possible. I didn't buy AppleCare+ (somewhat regretting it) and it's too late now.

    So far, I have the following services/products to help protect it:

    • Incase Hardshell Case
    • BitDefender

    Can anyone suggest me some products/services to buy to ensure my laptop is as durable and long-lasting as possible? Some suggestions for products I'm looking for are laptop cases, screen covers, keyboard pads, etc.

    Right click on trackpad keeps sticking? + Prioritize apps w/ media controls? + Touch pad lock?

    Hi, so I recently bought a new MacBook for my birthday. My old one was an Air from 2017 and I was in major need of a specs upgrade. I'm currently using a 2020 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro, but I have a few issues with it, three big ones in particular:

    1. For whatever reason, my trackpad keeps sticking whenever I hold/drag the mouse. (EDIT: I just realized that it's not just the right click that sticks, the left one does as well.) After I let go, it acts like it still thinks right click is still being held for 1-2 seconds after, then it's back to working like normal. It's almost like my computer is drunk and the input information is taking longer to reach its brain, if that makes sense. It keeps randomly sticking to things when I move my mouse, and I end up dragging the Safari window and accidentally making it super-short or something like that. I work with 3D models a lot, so I regularly use left click to move the camera around something, but it's really annoying to do so when it sticks every time I want to move it. I figured that maybe I had an option turned on somewhere that made it do this, but I couldn't find anything in my settings or online.
    2. The other thing is a question about the media controls on the touch bar. On my old Mac, I had an extension on the toolbar at the top of my screen called High Sierra Key Enabler or something like that. The purpose was that it would let you set what you wanted the media keys to prioritize, so it wouldn't keep starting/stopping the YouTube videos in the background when I only wanted to listen to iTunes. I just went to go re-download it, but it said that it's not compatible with Macs that include the touch bar, so...is there any way to do this natively through the System Preferences itself, or are there any alternatives that I could try?
    3. The touch bar is new to me. I usually am lying in bed with the MacBook sitting on my chest, so I keep accidentally hitting buttons on the touch pad, starting music and scaring myself half to death or unintentionally turning my brightness all the way down. Any chance there's any sort of auto-lock feature where it will lock the touch pad after a certain amount of time or something like that?

    Please let me know if you can help with any of these three issues I'm having, I start my sophomore year of college at the end of this month and I really don't want to have to be fighting with my Mac in the middle of class trying to get it to work properly. Thanks!

    iPhone disconnect

    Whenever I connect my iPhone to the mac it starts to connect and disconnect continuously and don't make a stable connection... Every time I connect the iPhone I need to enter the command "sudo killall -STOP -c usbd ". Is there any permanent solution for this...???

    Macbook M1 14in sound cracking/popping

    Hello, I recently purchased this Macbook M1. However, whenever I listen to music(Spotify) while using Xcode(build/run simulator) or playing certain games, I hear a cracking and popping in my laptop speakers. Even when I use four fingers to swipe through desktops I hear this crackling sound. I would assume that the M1 chip would be able to handle music through Spotify and Xcode/games running at the same time. Any help appreciated

    Spilled Mountain Dew on my MKB!

    Hey, I am owner of a Macbook Pro M1 2021 , and this is how it went, I dropped mountain Dew drink on my notes thats situated infront of my MKB , and it spilled a bit over laptop mostly on the folder between the screen and the Keyboard!( Put in mind I am typing from it right now for this post) Please give me an advice and what should I look for!

    appstore and itunes problems!

    Guys it's been 2 hrs and i'm tryna log into my appstore and itunes first i'm typing my pass and everythings going well but then it keep saying "Apple ID verification code required to sign in type your password followed by the verification code shown on your other devices" so i'm typing my pass + verification code but it still says "did u forget ur password? if u don't remember reset ur pass" i really don't know what to do can u guys help me please?

    Printing issues with MBA M1 or MBP 2011

    Hi all, I've recently upgraded to the M1 with Big Sur and am unable to get it to print to my Fuji laser printer. If I can't get that to work, I'm happy enough to print via my 2011 MacBook Pro, however it's incredibly slow and took me 1.5 hours to open an image via email and print it. Can anyone please help with either of these issues? The 2011 is running Sierra, as I read that was the best iOS for that model, however it's had an ssd installed so I believe I should be able to run any iOS.

    Edit: the print job seems to be sent to the printer on the M1, but the screen on the printer immediately says Cancelling Job. The printer is the Fuji Docuprint CP215 w. I have downloaded a driver for iOS 11 but it has not made any difference.
