    hi! i am looking for a way to automatically switch my iphone's volume to zero when i unplug or unpair my earphones.

    i have tried the automation tool; and tried whenever i switch off music reduce my volume to zero; but this doesn't meet my purpose because it reduces the volume when i switch from music to other apps

    so, any pointers 😀

    Please forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere - just didn't find anything helpful so far.

    Common problem - you keep adding apps on your iPhone and the number of pages on the iPhone is getting longer and longer. Messy. I was looking for an app on macOS to organize the icons on the iPhone via . Couldn't find any. Can't believe there is none. I guess millions of users have the same problem.

    Backup and MDM: please help me figure it out!

    Hi there people!
    I've received an iPhone 12 from my company which "controls" it through Jamf.
    I would like to restore a backup from my private iPhone to the company's iPhone (I know, I shouldn't but it's ok to me) but I don't even find the option during the first configuration.
    I could skip the restore backup phase because all my important data are synced when I log in with my iCloud, even whatsapp history.
    But right now I'm doubtful: if I make the company's iPhone my only iPhone, would I be able to restore the backup of the company's iPhone into a "normal" iPhone (if I need to)?
    I'm guessing the MDM profile would be backed up too so it could be a problem, but I have zero experience in this.

    iPhone stuck in Apple logo loop after attempted backup

    Attempted to sync/backup iPhone last night but kept getting an error that there was not enough space. Tried to clear off some pictures on the device and space on the PC as well, as they were both pretty low. It kept failing no matter what.

    Eventually did a full copy of the photo folders just so I had them, but after the transfer it looked like tons of them were 0KB? Only screenshots were making it on my PC.

    This morning I woke up and the phone is constantly showing the Apple logo, even after I hard reset it. Is there any way to get this back without losing all photos that I was trying to back up in the first place?

    iMessage issue on new iPhone

    Hello everyone!

    So I changed my broken iPhone 7 yesterday for a shiny new iPhone SE. Of course, I backed up everything on iCloud before giving it back to Apple.

    After booting my new phone and doing the whole process, I noted that all my iMessage were not showing up in my Messages conversations. Regular texts did though. I though I had to wait, but it's been a day already and still nothing.

    Even worse, iMessages sent to my new phone simply won't show up in conversations. I get the notification and I can see the message for a second then it disappears. Same thing for Imessages I send.

    Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks

    All books suddenly offloaded/local files gone in Apple Books

    How do I prevent this from happening? Books just get randomly offloaded for some reason. I'm on a 128gb 12, and i still have around 29gb free space. I dunno what triggers it though. It doesn't happen all the time but when it does, it's so frustrating. I've had it happen for maybe 7-8 times this year now.

    HELP iPad Pro gets stuck in restart loop, crashes randomly, artifacts/colors flash on screen

    Hi

    My iPad pro is having lots of problems. It crashes randomly and gets stuck in restart loops. After a (long) while it stops restarting, or alternatively when I put it in recovery mode and plug it into a computer it also stops. Usually when it crashes/restarts the screen flashes colors in different glitchy patterns (like streaks of flashing light or checkered boxes). I've updated it via recovery mode, and also fully restored it. I even went to an Apple store and they were no help. They told me the hardware was fine and it was a software issue. I barely take the thing out of the house and I keep it in a hard case. Does anyone know what to do?

    What happens with my apps credentials when I change my Icloud region? (Iphone)

    I moved to another country and now I need to download region specific apps (such as covid pass). My question is the following: What would happen to my apps credentials (spotify, netflix, etc) when it detects that I'm no longer in the same region?

    Will I lost everything and I'll need to change the subscription credentials? They won't let me use the apps with that credentials? Or it doesn't matter?

    Is there way to permanently turn off night mode? Hoping they added the option but don't see it.

    Hi all, in the past I had to turn off night mode every time I opened the camera app. I found this really frustrating as some spontaneous photo opportunities were lost. I'd much prefer to have it set off permanently (until I choose to turn it back on.)

    Do any of the new updates have a way to address this issue? Any tips? Should I just install another camera app? Thanks!

    Unable to move arrow in screenshot - try it and tell me what I am doing wrong: do a screen grab then hit the (+) key and create an arrow. Then try and manipulate it. The crop handles interfere because they are higher in the z-order. Only the green dot can be manipulated. Can you do it?

    How are Safari Home Screen bookmarks handled in Battery/memory?

    I've got an app that I suspect may be poorly handling memory - Battery shows lots of background activity, I think there needs to be none. The app does not have a toggle in Background App Refresh.

    To test, I've deleted that app and would like to use the vendor's web app - ideally, by adding it from Safari to Home Screen, from where it would open as a containerised web app with equivalence to the executable, which I suspect is just a wrapper anyway.

    Perhaps this will sandbox what the app and eliminate what the executable was doing in the background.

    But, the questions...

    For these Home Screen apps/Safari bookmark web apps,

    • How does iOS handle Background activity/Background App Refresh?

    • Could the web app still be doing whatever the executable was doing?

    • Can Settings' Battery panel report on battery usage/activity from these containerised "apps"? Would it appear as "Safari"? Or nothing?

    • What about memory? If I had the web app opened in a regular Safari tab and closed that, I'd know it's out of memory. What about with one of these containerised web apps? Would I need to swipe it closed, rely on iOS' own memory management etc?
