    Opposed to earlier concerns, there is no need to click the 3 dots to find the reload page option . Just hover over the address bar and it becomes visible.

    Big Sur 11.4 Safari Youtube 1.5x speed pitch problem

    I have this weird high pitch issue I am getting with safari that I am not getting from any other browser. When the playback is set to 1.25x or 1.5x the sound is very robotic and pitchy to the point of irritation. Does anyone else have this issue? I've searched online to no real answers on how to fix it. I don't want to switch to other browsers.

    Dynamic wallpapers club wallpaper not working M1 air bigsur

    Hi,

    Just got my M1 MacBook Air and really like the dynamic wallpapers. Googling I found a site that has a bunch of wallpapers that are supposed to work. I download the file as instructed set a macOS default dynamic wallpaper on dynamic mode and then right click on the new wallpaper and have it set as desktop background. Testing whether it would actually work by changing the time, the picture did not change from the morning one to evening as it should going from 10am to 12 am. Anyone know of a way to fix this? Do I have to disable dark mode and just have it automatic throughout the day?

    So I recently updated to Monterey PB2 and my pdf started showing with some wired characters... If I copy the text and past somewhere else it shows correctly. Does anyone know how to fix this font problem? The same thing happens to iPadOS 15...

    I tried doing internet recovery mode and everything seemed fine. I go through the steps and everything seemed fine. I press to download Sierra and it downloads but at the end after the download bar is complete I get an error message"An error occurred while preparing the installation. Try running this application again". I have tried to run it multiple times and the date is correct. Idk what to do plz help. Also I'm currently on big sur. I'm pretty sure it's a late 2015 Mac

    Time Machine Backup Destination

    Can anyone help with this.

    I have a Mac Mini that has an external HDD attached.

    The external HDD has a folder called 'backups'. This has been added to file sharing and I have my MacBook Air back up to it wirelessly. No issues.

    However, I also want my Mac Mini (that the HDD is physically plugged into) to also backup via Time Machine to that specific folder.

    There doesn't appear to be an option in Time Machine settings. I only see the external HDD as a possible destination rather than the specific 'backups' folder. Annoyingly, it also asks me to erase the whole external HDD to use it - which I'm not willing to do. It's formatted as APFS which I think is the issue - even though another Mac wirelessly backs up to the drive without a problem.

    Is there any way of doing this? I've googled like hell and I'm finding nothing.

    App has BGR instead of RGB

    Some old java apps use BGR internet of RGB and it results in red and blue being inverted on macs with the M1 chip. Isn't there a way to fix it or a app that inverts red and bleu on the entire screen so al least the app look as it's supposed.

    After 5 hours I created 80GB USB back up of my movies and pics files using M1 Mini.

    When I try to run movies MacOs said - Invalid format for QuickTime but some did played in VLC,

    I ran the movie from the USB in Windows and there was clear message - Your file is corrupted.

    I run chkdsk and found that USB was bad.

    Why did Mac NOT say - Your file is corrupted instead of 'invalid format message'?

    When will Apple fixes its disk utilities to make them as effective as Windows (MacOs Terminal commands are only marginally better that disk utilities).

    I am creating backup USB using Windows

    I recently upgraded from Mojave to Big Sur(11.4) and noticed "Automator Application Stub" listed under "obtained from unknown sources. This was not on Mojave. Can someone please confirm if it's legit app(i.e. the real Automator) or if I might have a virus. Thank you

    I'm definitely buying a MacBook Air M1, but I'm not sure if the 8gb of RAM is sufficient for my use. I'm a Political Science major planning on law school, so I may be using some data processing/organizing software along with reading some pretty large files and having a lot of several-hundred page documents (and a LOT of webpages) open at the same time. I know the M1 chip is a beast, do y'all think there are situations where 16gb would be better? I'm new to MacOS, so I just want to make sure I'm future-proofing my first device.

    Stop Adobe Reader from Opening PDF's

    I have Adobe Reader on my mac (Required for Work, I can't stand it) and for the sake of me, I can't figure out how to get it to stop opening all PDFs.

    I've gone in and chosen Preview as the Default Application for opening PDFs from both the "Open With" right-click option and set Preview as the default for all PDFs and also went in through the "Get Info" menu and done the same from there.

    Adobe Reader STILL continues to open all PDFs.

    Any idea?
