Posted: 02 Jul 2021 08:14 PM PDT Hi guys, so I took my iPhone X for battery replacement at bestbuy they handed my phone back they said phone battery is replaced FaceID stopped working ever since I thought it doesn't work because I wear mask all the time(I work at hospital) after so many days I opened my settings app it says "faceID is disabled problem detected with TrueDepth camera" I performed iOS update and restore nothing really fixed my issue…I contacted apple support they set me up for a repair I hope they don't charge me ridiculous amount to repair the phone that their authorised service provider broke it while battery replacement. | iPhone X bottom speaker cutting out Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:40 AM PDT Has anyone face an issue with their iPhone X bottom speaker cutting out? It cuts in and out when I'm shaking it or smacking it in my hand, it seem like a loose connection but since I replaced my screen, I cleaned the connectors with alcohol and used a new speaker part and it still is the same issue. If anyone faced this issue, did you find a way to fix it? Can't afford an upgrade rn plus it's still good for a few years. Only the top speaker works. Sometimes it would work for good 5 minutes then stops completely for like a day or two, or until I smack it on my hand for it to work for like 2-5 more minutes. [link] [comments]  |

I stupidly didn't buy a screen protector right away so now have 3 big scratches on the front too. Just today for example I was driving and my phone randomly slipped out of my pocket and hit the metal base of the chair, and again when I got out of the car it slipped out onto the tarmac. It's now slipped out of the pocket of 3 different pairs of shorts and 1 jeans. Can anyone please recommend a good but not too thick case? :D [link] [comments]  |

| How safe is it to flash an iPhone? Posted: 02 Jul 2021 11:15 AM PDT My iPhone XR was stuck in a boot loop due to low storage, which I tried to resolve using iTunes (updating visa recovery mode) to no avail. I need the data on the phone back, and flashing iOS using 3utools seems to have solved this issue for some others. My only concern is — does flashing run a considerable risk of rendering the phone completely useless? While I need the data back, it would be far worse to have the data lost, and the phone bricked as well. I'd also appreciate any tips on how to flash an iPhone, to which OS, in as safe a manner as possible. [link] [comments]  |
