| iphone hacked ? weird things happening Posted: 03 Jul 2021 02:57 AM PDT Hi Reddit Basically I've had someone I know sort stalking/targeting me recently and last week my old account iMessage got hacked and this week said person sent me a link after a few normal links which I opened (big mistake) Now I'm paranoid I changed my iCloud password it only lets me change it on pc tho so maybe verification code is being sent to their phone? Also in safari I tried typing in websites that person frequently visits and it was Siri suggesting me + recently searched things that I don't search for. Has my iCloud been hacked? or my phone been ratted? its scary thanks [link] [comments]  |
| No cellular settings available. Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:43 AM PDT Without an update happening my iPhone 8 will just continue to search for a cellular network. When I swipe up, the option for cellular is greyed out and when I go to cellular under settings there's nothing there. Any help would be great. [link] [comments]  |
| xs max non responsive to the touch and restarting itslef Posted: 03 Jul 2021 12:00 AM PDT Never had any issues with my phone prior to today, but all of a sudden my phone started to get hot in the camera area but was still working fine. I locked it and came back to it a few minutes later and the screen was non responsive to the touch. I was able to restart it and it worked for a few minutes then it became non responsive again. Now it restarts itself as well after becoming non responsive. I read somewhere that people got stuck in an infinite loop of the phone restarting itself due to memory being full but I have 166gb free so that doesn't seem to be the issue? | Iphone 12 pro max can’t hear during call Posted: 02 Jul 2021 09:59 PM PDT Usually when I call someone, I am able to hear normally, the audio is fine. However, recently, whenever I called someone, I couldn't hear anything, but when I put the speakers on, the audio was normal. I tried doing anything I could think of, like power resetting my phone, checking my settings but nothing worked. My dad accidentally disabled me from accessing that setting so I can change my passwords and download new apps. He doesn't remember how to fix it on his end so I need help finding a solution. | BestBuy broke my phone while battery replacement! Posted: 02 Jul 2021 08:16 PM PDT Hi guys, so I took my iPhone X for battery replacement at bestbuy they handed my phone back they said phone battery is replaced FaceID stopped working ever since I thought it doesn't work because I wear mask all the time(I work at hospital) after so many days I opened my settings app it says "faceID is disabled problem detected with TrueDepth camera" I performed iOS update and restore nothing really fixed my issue…I contacted apple support they set me up for a repair I hope they don't charge me ridiculous amount to repair the phone that their authorised service provider broke it while battery replacement. A coworker has been sending inappropriate messages for some time now, and I hung on to them but have not decided to report it. Interestingly enough, the history of those messages was recently wiped from one of my phones, but it's still on the other one. There's a very slim chance at some point I could've accidentally deleted this message thread. But then…wouldn't it have disappeared from both phones? | Is my phone safe to use? Burnt smell from charging port Posted: 02 Jul 2021 07:09 PM PDT I have an iPhone XS Max with iOS 16.4. After getting my screen fixed, my phone has begun to smell strange. I had cracked the screen on the front and the glass on the back of my phone about a year ago. I finally went to get them both fixed at one of those mall booths (probably where I went wrong) rather than the apple store. It was still pretty expensive and it took 2 hours longer than they originally promised. I now have my phone back, but there's dried glue on the edges of the screen and there's a rather concerning smell coming from my charging port. It smells like burning metal or fried electronics. Overall my phone seems to work fine and wireless charging still works. Should I be concerned about this smell? If something is burnt out, should I stop using it and get it replaced? I tried to charge it today for several hours and noticed it would show the low battery symbol showing that it was charging but when it tried to turn on past the Apple Logo it would just shut off again. Things I've tried: • Holding Power and Home button to hard restart • I have plugged it into a computer to try to restart it via iTunes but the computer will not recognize it. Any other suggestions? I need to charge it almost all day long and it's never been like this before. Approximately around the same time I updated to iOS 14.6, and my other thought was that it might cause the draining but I'm not sure about it. | Audio Balance/Quality all wrong (11 ProMax) Posted: 02 Jul 2021 04:47 PM PDT No matter what pair of headphones I use they'll be weaker in the left ear, I can change the audio balance through accessibility (not keen cos it lowers sound quality but idm) however the day after the audio is now skewed differently so I find myself tinkering with the sliders again. From what I read, it either means the phone was improperly reseted or it was not released from the carrier the right way, but I am not really sure. | Posted: 02 Jul 2021 12:23 PM PDT We are using 2 separate iPhones on 2 separate zoom links. We are connecting them with a single Lightning/HDMI cable to the same input on a single TV. Just swapping the cable as needed. One iPhone will output sound over the HDMI to the TV and the other will not. On the zoom meeting there is an icon in the upper left corner that allows us to mute the sound. On the phone that works, the icon is a speaker and microphone, while on the phone that doesn't work it's just a little speaker icon. I'm not really and iPhone user, but even the people that are can't seem to figure it out... Any ideas? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
| How safe is it to flash an iPhone? Posted: 02 Jul 2021 11:10 AM PDT My iPhone XR was stuck in a boot loop due to low storage, which I tried to resolve using iTunes (updating visa recovery mode) to no avail. I need the data on the phone back, and flashing iOS using 3utools seems to have solved this issue for some others. My only concern is — does flashing run a considerable risk of rendering the phone completely useless? While I need the data back, it would be far worse to have the data lost, and the phone bricked as well. All of my text messages are going to my old phone and I cant figure out how to fix it. I removed the SIM card from the phone for an entire day and I am still not getting my messages and they are going to that old phone.
