When I open a calendar shared by colleague, in the iOS outlook app, I can see all appointments and can add and edit everything without any problems. When I open the same calendar in the native iOS calendar App, I can see all appointments but can't add new ones. It adds the appointment on the phone, but not on the exchange online calendar. Does anybody have an idea why? I tried all kind of different access rights and double checked the on the PowerShell. Also gave full access and added the users as delegates, nothing changes. Their own articles say that it saves space, but in support they told me it doesn't. I just restored my phone and it has a high GB for messages even though I store in the cloud. It has a browser (to my understanding all browsers on iPhone are just safari with different stuff added to it), I signed in to my google account and I started to wonder if the app can somehow log my password? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 07:23 PM PDT Apologies in advance if this has been asked before… I looked around for a while and couldn't find anything about this exact question, so here I go. My wife and I are in the process of upgrading our iPhone XSs to iPhone 12s. Hers arrived today and we did the iPhone to iPhone transfer for the first time ever. It was a snap and I couldn't believe how simple and thorough it was. I'd like to do the same with mine when it arrives in the next day or so, but there's one difference with my phone. Unlike my wife, I have about 2000 songs downloaded and saved on my iPhone in the Music app. I would estimate that probably 90 percent or more are songs I purchased from iTunes many years ago (before streaming music was even a thing), with the remainders being songs I ripped from CDs back in the day, as well. All are backed up on both my computer and Apple Music. My music is probably the most important thing to me on my phone, even more than pictures of my kids (at least those are hanging on my wall!). If I do the iPhone to iPhone transfer, will all my songs transfer over, as well? And if so, will they automatically download also, or will I have to manually do each one? Or, is my best bet to restore my new iPhone from my most recent iTunes backup on my computer to get everything on correctly? Sorry for the lengthy question, but I figure I've got one chance without screwing everything up and I'd like to do it right. However, I have just found the missing Iphone 11 this week. However, it says that it's lost/stolen, etc and does not let me recover. I was never able to use the phone with any carrier. I am scared that if I take it back to the apple store that they will just take the phone or something. What is the process for recovering it if I take it there, anyone know? Posted: 23 Jul 2021 04:43 PM PDT I've noticed that with Reddit's new video player (which sucks terribly btw), I can't 'scrub' through videos; I end up swiping between apps because the home bar(?) is always there. I've noticed, however, that on other apps (usually games), that the home bar disappears and gives a small haptic feedback to 'activate' it when you swipe up. I'm guessing this is so that you don't accidentally swipe between apps when you're in the middle of something. I've looked everywhere online on how to disable the home bar/swipe gesture, but the only thing that comes up is how to disable assistive touch. | Speech to text very unreliable Posted: 23 Jul 2021 12:59 PM PDT I'm having constant issues with speech to text. Sometimes it just refuses to work past a single word, no matter how many times I try. Other times I can get several sentences in before it cuts me off randomly. It seems to have gotten worse in the past few months and then finally plateaued to a point where it's just consistently pretty bad and only works half the time. I'm really not sure what's up or what to do. It works about as well as you would expect when it decides to work. Otherwise it just cuts me off after anywhere from immediately to after a few words. | Posted: 23 Jul 2021 08:37 AM PDT I've got a work issued Iphone8. On this phone, I registered my Apple ID as my work email address. This phone has personal pictures, contacts and personal apps. It also has various work related apps including some that monitor activity. My company has told us to transfer the work phone plans to our personal accounts and they are offering to gives us the work issues phones to keep as personal phones (vs us having to go and buy new hardware). After this transfer, there is no need to keep the work apps on the phone. This phone has been backed up to the Icloud with my work email address. Last night, I changed the sign in Apple ID to my personal email address. This is where I'm confused. if I put in a personal SIM card for my new personal cell phone plan, my work phone still has the "spy apps" on there. If I do a full factory reset on the phone, I'll lose my pictures and my contacts, but if I do a restore from the Icloud, it will make the phone how it was before, with all of the work apps on there, correct? Is there a way to do a factory reset on the phone, but only re-install the pictures, contacts and some apps that I choose? Any other suggestions? I'm not overly experienced with the Apple ID, Icloud, Itunes etc but have been doing a lot of reading online and open to learning. thanks james [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 23 Jul 2021 10:07 AM PDT There's a website I frequent that always interrupts and pauses whatever music I have playing (Spotify, online streaming, music app etc) when it loads. I can still resume playing right away after it gets paused, so it's not a big issue, more of an annoyance. As far as I can tell, the website doesn't have any audio (I've cranked my volume to the max and don't hear anything) so I'm not sure why it's doing this. Is there anyway to prevent this and load the website without my music being paused?
