I will be doing a lot of reading, writing essays, taking notes, and online calling/conferencing on my laptop. I currently have a MacBook pro from 2015 but am looking to upgrade. Cost is not a huge issue, any advice would be greatly appreciated! In addition, would it be better to get the 8GB memory Pro or 16GB memory Air? Now, if the Aftershokz is connected and is playing audio, it would get choppy, along with input from both the Trackpad and the HHKB (choppy movement, dropped keys, delayed response, etc). No updates were applied, no other settings configured. Has anyone else experienced this? A setup that USED TO work fine until suddenly it doesnt without any changes to the system? Or am I doomed to play through my Macbook's speakers :( I've tried all solutions on the internet at this point and I'd like to know if I'm not alone in this [link] [comments]  | ||

| Screen brightness, possible bug? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 07:08 AM PDT I just got my first ever MacBook (air M1, and I absolutely love it btw) But I've noticed that when I wake it from sleep my opening it the screen is, 8 times out of 10, on the lowest brightness setting, even though I had it on max brightness when I closed it. I can't turn the brightness up because it thinks it's already on max brightness, so only way I've figured out how to fix it is to turn brightness down 1 step then back up. Is this a common issue, or a setting that I can turn off or something? [link] [comments]  | ||

I have a Bluetooth Mouse and a USB dongle mouse but I'm considering buying a displayport dock and a displayport switch (my screen has 2 hdmi 4k30hz and 1dp port 4k60hz) Or maybe I could just buy the dock, the dp switch and then another mouse and keyboard for the mac? With this great device that is so quiet is my Windows Gaming PC really necessary for light browsing and netflix when I have this no noise fantastic device? | One key isn't working on my Macbook Air Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:55 AM PDT So I opened my laptop this morning as per usual and the "O" key isn't responding at all (I'm typing this from my phone). No sort of damage has been done. This actually happened one other time about 2 years ago where one key stopped working... again no damage done, just happened randomly. I brought it to the Apple store and my entire keyboard had to be replaced (it cost in total $433). I don't want to have to go through replacing my keyboard again and I'm a bit frustrated and dumbfounded as to why this is happening again. My Macbook is a fully functional early 2014 model that I have to likely replace because of one stupid key that doesn't work. | My MacBook Air’s WiFi won’t turn on! Posted: 29 Jul 2021 03:42 AM PDT So this morning I spilled a little bit of coffee on the right side of my laptop and immediately wiped it off and put it upside down so any coffee could get out. There's no apparent damage (every key is working and no damage to the screen). But when I wiped, the MacBook was still on and I pressed a bunch of keys and somehow my WiFi turned off. Now if I click on 'turn wi-fi om' it just won't. I can click on it and it turns blue but doesn't turn on. I have no idea what to do! Please help! [link] [comments]  | ||

When I boot up from that drive, my main user account does not show up, but the other accounts on the computer do. When I go to the users and groups in system preferences, that account also doesn't show up, but when I look at the folders of user accounts, a folder with that account is there.
