| snapchat not working and wont download Posted: 29 Jul 2021 04:18 PM PDT my snapchat wouldnt open. i would see the circle to take a pic and the rest was black for a sec and instantly closed and did this nonstop. i restarted my phone and it still did it so i deleted it. now it wont let me download it. when i hit the cloud symbol to download it either buffers for a sec then the cloud symbol pops up again or it sits there and buffers and does nothing else [link] [comments]  |

Probably should also note I'm using shortcuts for custom app icons. Reinstalled Snapchat, wouldn't let me log in so I restarted my phone. Nothing changed, so I tried to reinstall again and after deleting Snapchat, the App Store wouldn't let me install ANY apps. (Not just Snapchat, all apps in general.) I've both soft and hard restarted my phone and nothing happened, also closed all apps from the task manager and logged in and out of my Apple ID, no change. Any help? [link] [comments]  |

| Posted: 29 Jul 2021 10:02 PM PDT So someone spilled a little tea on my iPhone 11. And now the speaker sounds like trash, mostly when i listen to someone talking. I placed it in rice for 7-8 hours, and it didn't improve much. Can i get some help on this issue? Has the tea left some precipitates. Should i leave it in the rice for more time. | Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:38 PM PDT So last night when I picked up my phone from the table, I noticed it was really hot. And I know I have 30%~ battery remaining but when I unlocked it, it was only 15% So I turned it off, But it still very hot. The phone's temp isn't going down. When I turned it on, it was at 5%. It was draining the battery even it was off! So I tried to charge it then it gotten more hot and wouldn't go beyond 20%. So I leave it overnight and totally drain it's battery but now it totally won't turn on anymore. It's plugged right now for more than an hour. Try hard resetting it (voluem up, down, hold power) and nothing. It doesn't even have the plug charge icon it. This phone is no more than 2 weeks old. Is it dead? Specs: [link] [comments]  |
| Spilled beer all over keyboard of MacBook Pro Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:16 PM PDT So I spilled beer all over my MacBook Pro and it pretty much instantly shut itself off. After a panic and a google search I left it open upside down for 48 hours to dry. When I turned it on again it opened to Mac recovery mode and I reinstalled the software as one of the options and now it seems to work fine. Could there be any serious issues or did I get lucky? It loads for about 30 seconds in the App Store then the cloud symbol pops up again (the one that you click to download an app again) does someone know how to fix this so I can reinstall it? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 06:37 PM PDT Ok, so I recently bought a iPhone 12 and I ever since have been very protective of it because I spent a lot of money and I decided to put a screen protector on it. The screen protector came with wipes I can only assume were alcohol wipes and I didn't even question it and I used it and wiped right over the speaker hole and applied the screen protector. Afterwards I started thinking I messed up my phone somehow and I keep trying to find out if alcohol ruined some water resistant adhesive in the speaker grill or something lol. I don't know do you think I should be worried? I don't notice any issues with it. I feel like I'm being dramatic but I spent alot so I'll probably be like this for a month or 2 more before I settle down a little. [link] [comments]  |
| Question about turning off iCloud Photos and “other” storage... Posted: 29 Jul 2021 10:17 PM PDT When I first got my phone, it automatically uploaded all 6,000 of my iCloud photos to my phone. I've had storage issues ever since because I didn't have my own computer until a few weeks ago. I've deleted as many photos as I can, but this is almost 10 years of memories and I don't want to part with them. My iCloud storage isn't full, although my phone constantly tells me that it is. My phone is practically useless at this point, thanks to my "other" storage being at 25-30gb. I just saw a different post in here where someone said the other storage may be because of an iCloud upload error. I've had "restore from iCloud paused" stuck at the bottom of my photo album for years now. I tried to back up my phone so I could factory reset it to see if that would help but I get an error saying there isn't enough storage on my computer. I have 920 gbs available... Sooo needless to say, I am about to smash this thing into a million tiny pieces. My final attempt to fix it before I completely lose my sanity is to try and remove the iCloud photos I've been plagued with. I'm logged into iCloud on the computer and I see all of the photos are there. If I turn off the iCloud Photos option on my phone, that just deletes them from the phone, correct? Optimize photos or download and keep originals? Is this even the answer to my "other" storage problem? Why can't I back up my phone? Please help me, smart people! I'm so tired of my fancy brick. | Apple Iphone 7 "Loop Disease", What should I do? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 06:22 PM PDT Hello, as the title suggest I have an Iphone 7 with what I have found out to be "loop disease". Its a well known problem on Iphone 7's since 2018 making it so that the Iphone does not receive nor input audio during phone calls, siri not working and certain reboots/updates being stuck on the apple logo. The iphone belongs to my dad and he's had it for 5 years now so I'm pretty sure the warranty is void. My question is what course of action is best to take in this situation? | What the heck is a .apple file and how do I open it? Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:51 PM PDT So, long story short, my MacBook that I bought in 2015 got some liquid damage to it to the point where it wouldn't charge the battery. Took it to a shop and they said it's fried, I need a new one. So I had to race against the remaining battery life to move all my files over onto an external HD — because moving photos one by one is way too time consuming, I just moved over the photo library file. Once I got my new 2017 MacBook, I moved over the photo library file and it worked perfectly — all my photos were there. I deleted the stuff on the external HD though because it was one I borrowed from a friend and I didn't want to leave personal things in there. Fast forward to present, that new 2017 Macbook got stolen. I don't have a back-up because I'm an idiot. My friend I borrowed the external HD from said the last person to use it was me when I was transferring things over that one time, so I borrowed it again and used PhotoREC to try to recover the photo library file I deleted. It recovered a .apple folder that contains a bunch of smaller .apple files that I can't open. I did some googling and found this link but this didn't help either. Can anyone help with this? This photo library contained a lot of irreplaceable, priceless photos and I'm about to lose my mind. Really kicking myself for not having a proper backup right now. If anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it, thanks in advance. EDIT: Also wanted to mention in case someone asks, I took the 2015 MacBook to the shop too to see if they could extract the photo library that way, but they said the file was corrupted and can't open them. | Macbook 2019 Pro 13": Shut down issue Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:12 PM PDT My macbook (pro 13" 2019 entry model with touchbar) has been experiencing an issue where it shut downs with no warning, as if it has run out of battery, when it reaches 80-90% charge. It then starts back up when plugged in, shows 80-90% battery, and works without issue while plugged in. Having looked online I can see this a known issue, however none of the suggested fixes have worked - I have turned off/charged 8 hours/updated & also cleared my smc. I'm not tech savvy by any means so if anybody has any suggestions for how to try fix this I would be super grateful! I've contacted an apple repair store by me (NZ) as well - if anybody has had this problem and it didn't work with the suggested fixes, can you let me know your experience having it fixed/replaced. I'd like to preface this by saying I don't click links from random messages or anything like that. All the porn I watch, I just look on reddit w/ no links, so I don't think it's from there. I was looking at my screen time2 days ago, and it said I'd been running an app titled "muscleplanhealth.world" for 7 hr and 3 mins, and I've never seen or heard of anything like that. Today, I tried opening snapchat, but the app refused to open/run. I deleted and tried to redownload it off the app store, and it wouldn't let me. After that, I powered my phone and off multiple times, but it was to no avail. [link] [comments]  |
