| Looking for a magsafe charger with a usb c port Posted: 02 Jun 2021 12:03 AM PDT Let me clarify what exactly I'm asking. I'm thinking of hopping over from my Pixel to iPhone for several reasons. One of the last drawbacks is the lack of usb c port and I'm not looking to start a collection of lightning cables. I'm hoping for a magsafe charger that would act as a converter, usb c -> magsafe. I can attach it to the back of the phone and simply plug in a cable to it. I have seen various powerbanks with usb c, and while these would do the job, they are bulky. I would like to get rid of the bulk and go straight to a converter. [link] [comments]  |
| Making the iPhone screen brighter Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:01 PM PDT I only figured this out and couldn't find anything on the internet for it. My screen at full brightness was still very dark. I turned all auto brightness settings off. I then found a setting under "accessibility>display and text" called "reduce white point". It was on auto. Once I turned it off, the brightness came back straight away! Granted, my battery my not last as long now but gee it made a huge difference. Hope this helps someone. [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 01 Jun 2021 08:08 PM PDT I can play anything on social media, streaming services and even on the internet, out loud through my phones speakers like normal, but in games (Genshin, mystic messenger, doodle jump, etc) I have no audio unless I use headphones? I've gone through settings but can't find anything, I use an IPhone 8 but I think I had this issue with previous phones. I cannot remember if it'll play through speakers like the car. Help? | Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:19 PM PDT Hello! I have an iPhone 6S and I'm having trouble with some apps mostly web browsing apps like Safari, Google Chrome, and Google. I have really good WiFi and some screentime restrictions on my phone that forces downtime at 10pm and restricts me from downloading Apps which also affects updating apps as well. Starting this morning my phone has been acting weird, I tried to use Google chrome and the web page stopped responding and couldn't search anything I thought my WiFi was down so I checked on another app. I opened Instagram and it was working perfectly fine but none of my web browsing apps were working and they still aren't. Does anyone know how to fix this if you do please respond. Thanks! | Posted: 01 Jun 2021 05:17 PM PDT So, about 30 minutes ago, my phone just randomly turned black, and then went to the Apple logo. I was in my notes app. I tried a hard reset and a normal reset, and every time, the screen just goes black, then the Apple logo pops up about five seconds later without me doing anything. This has happened before, maybe around November or December. My phone was on the charger while this happened and i have since took my phone off the charger. Posted: 01 Jun 2021 12:53 PM PDT Since I've updated my phone to first 14.5.1, every time I reboot my phone I was getting a message saying the phone was successfully update to 14.5.1. Every single time I rebooted, for weeks. I just recently updated to 14.6 hoping it might help, but the message just says 14.6 instead of 14.5.1. How do I get this message to stay away? It tries to make me reconnect to a Wifi network every time it does this, I just want to be able to use my phone without extra steps after unlocking it. I turn off my phone every night. | No Cellular Data with iPhone XR after IOS 14.6 update? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 11:50 AM PDT Yesterday I was prompted for a software update to the IOS 14.6. I downloaded the update and clicked "install". The screen went to "verifying update" for 12 minutes before going back to the screen that just has "installing..." grayed out. I kept it plugged in overnight thinking it would complete the update, but this morning discovered it had not. I can't use the phone to make or receive calls because I get a message that says "An update is required to use cellular data on this iPhone." There are no carrier updates. I've done several hard reboots, deleted the update and tried to download and install again, reset network settings, turned on and off airplane mode, removed and re-inserted SIM card. | Ping my iPhone not making a sound? Posted: 01 Jun 2021 11:24 AM PDT So I keep my phone on silent because I'm in and out of businesses. Well the today I was eating lunch in my car and when I finished I couldn't find my phone. I don't have any other device besides my phone so I said "hey Siri ping my iPhone" and I heard nothing. After a few minutes of tearing the car apart I find it and it says it was pinged so I did it again and it pings but with no noise. Does this not defeat the purpose of ping my phone? It's a camera app. Turns out it is fantastic and I am really really happy with it. But for some reason, it was removed from the U.S. store! I cannot ever find it anymore, and when I google it, and go to the link to the app store web, it tells me not available in my region store I think. So anyway, just in case of a phone failure, will it get reinstalled? Anytime I have changed phones, the new one installs everything I had. But since it isn't available anymore, it would not surprise me if the system decided to skip it. I am gonna do a manual iTunes backup just in case, but has anyone experience with something like this? It was a 256 gig, and was about $500. Reason being, I had a strict price cap of around that, was looking for 256 gig, and didn't want a used phone that I may have to replace a battery on, this replacing a finicky seal. I noticed two things though.
All other accessories were included, and it was sealed. Did I get a fake/scam? The phone seems fully functional, although coverage is expired, everything seems fully functional, EarPods, documentation and all. What are the chances I got a used "new" iPhone? [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone X - Some Calls Drop Immediately Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:16 AM PDT Good afternoon, I've done a search for this issue but can't find anyone that's reporting the same thing. Basically when I phone certain numbers (actually I've only noticed it on 1 number so far), as soon as I press the green 'call' button (or tap the number, however I'm trying it), I just get the 3 'call ended' beeps and the call shows as 'Call Cancelled' in my call history. It's always the same number, no other numbers. So far I've tried/checked: - number is not blocked - I have no call blocks with my carrier - my carrier (Vodafone) has done umpteen resets and things from their end (many of which I have been told are "100% definitely the problem" and have been fixed. To me, it looks like it's happening too quickly for it to even be connecting the call to the network to begin with, although they can't seem to tell me whether or not they are showing any record of a call - Reset Network Settings - iPhone Hard Reset - Turned off/on call waiting, call ID - Fiddled around with the time zone settings And none of this has made the slightest difference. The number that I can't call is a mobile number (07xxx), on a different network, and can call me fine and can receive calls from any other person with no problem. I've not changed any settings recently, it was there pre and post iOS 14.6 update, and has only been happening for the past week. I'm at a complete loss, please help! Thanks [link] [comments]  |
| iPhone 7 Plus having microphone issues Posted: 01 Jun 2021 07:09 AM PDT It just started a few days ago: my phone no longer records sound in video, doesn't allow me to record voice memos (when you click the start record button, nothing happens), and when I try to call up Siri the blue loading cloud appears for a second and then just goes away. It's not that it's recording and it's just not picking up audio, it's that it's almost treating it as there is no microphone in general. | iPhone X(iOS 14.6) Face ID not working Posted: 01 Jun 2021 06:57 AM PDT The Face ID software stopped working while my phone was on the 14.5 version it wouldn't unlock and when I reset and tried to register my face again it would require me to move my face up and down.I tried power cycling,hard reset,settings reset etc but still doesn't work. I got the earpiece grill cleaned earlier today because the speaker got blocked…I got this cleaned 2-3 times in the past but the face id still worked fine.
