- Ah… I got this iPad 4 years ago. I haven’t looked at it in months and today I pulled it out to find a letter code. 9 wrong tries. Last one… the last hurrah.

Favorite/most useful widgets on iPadOS? Posted: 23 Jun 2021 07:28 PM PDT I just got a new iPad and was wondering which widgets are genuinely useful, especially those that might be overlooked or underrated, so that I can add them to my home screen. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Jun 2021 06:16 PM PDT Is there any sort of battery optimization feature on the iPad, or is this coming in iPadOS15? [link] [comments]
Anything unique that you found that an iPad experience can only provide? Posted: 23 Jun 2021 07:40 AM PDT I bought an iPad pro I mostly wanted it for a second screen and writing notes. I find a laptop or desktop is just so much better as it can do most things better. I was wondering is there an app or a specific thing you do with your iPad thats unique that a laptop or desktop cant provide? Was curious of other people's workflow or cool ways of using the iPad. I don't want to use it as a consumption device like social media or browsing the internet as I find a computer is faster. Thanks. [link] [comments]

iPad Pro software keyboard alternatives Posted: 23 Jun 2021 09:21 AM PDT I just got a iPad Pro 12.9 and for other people who own these you can probably guess how livid I am about the non-spilt keyboard options. This isn't a rant post so I'll cut commentary short. Anyone have ideas for viable software keyboard alternatives? I installed the Google keyboard but it doesn't seem to offer a split keyboard option either. How are others coping with this.. design restriction? Any input appreciated. [link] [comments]

Posted: 23 Jun 2021 03:41 PM PDT Calling out to Apple product owners who might shed some experience with something weird with an online order: Hey everyone! Question for you - I'm currently waiting on my iPad Pro 12.9" (Space Gray, Cellular, 512G, no engraving) which I ordered on release day, April 30. My original delivery window was late June to mid-July but over the course of two ETA revisions where my arrival window was pulled up, my current and latest delivery window is June 16th to June 30th. However as of today, June 23rd, my order status is "sort of" stuck in the processing phase. I say "sort of" because over the past week I've seen throughout various times and days where my order's green status bar would advance to "Preparing to Ship" only to return back to "Processing" later. I've reached out to Apple Customer Support and they said the "status of my order is fine" but over the many years of buying stuff from Apple both for myself and my company, I've never seen anything like this and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced something like this before? I'm semi-concerned because I need the device to replace my previous iPad which I broke and I need to keep my work notes together which the longer the delivery takes, the bigger the gap. I'm fine if the device takes just a few extra days to build and ship but seeing the back and forth movement in the status bar is a bit concerning. Has anybody experienced anything like this? Is it just a web & mobile glitch? I could just wait a few extra days to see if the order really does process but I'm approaching the end of my "ETA Window" considering the time it takes to ship the product and deliver it to my apartment. Furthermore, I was hoping that I would be around when the device arrives but I'm planning on going to a long-since planned camping trip for the following weekend and my package room has a history of theft so I'm hoping I can pick it up before I take off or have it come after I get back :/ [link] [comments]
iPad Pro - This is the Future of Computing Posted: 23 Jun 2021 12:01 PM PDT So I recently purchased the iPad Pro and I'm loving it. I guess you could say I'm a true 'Pro' user of the iPad. Between flying planes and using it as a DAW for large stadium concerts shows and events, I put a lot of work on this device. The iPad is right in the middle of the phone and MacBook in terms of form and function and I absolutely love it. But I think we are reaching a threshold to where Mac and iPad worlds can combine. I'm hoping now that apple has introduce thunderbolt into the USB-C portion that one day we can dock our iPads to a full version of macOS. Then the worlds can truly combine. I'm hoping that one day I only have to walk around with just an iPad and a iPhone, with my full suite of softwares available at a moments notice. [link] [comments]
Posted: 22 Jun 2021 03:06 PM PDT I do not have an anxiety disorder, but I get anxious like everyone else. Today I was feeling that way at work. I was fiddling with settings on my device during a meeting and toggled true tone on. It made me feel better. I don't know if it's just the warmer light or something to do with my screen no longer contrasting with the room I was in. Or probably it was just a coincidence/placebo, but I thought I'd make a post to see if anyone else experienced something similar. Of course, if it is true, then perhaps the implication is not that true tone "relieves" anxiety, but that the harsh contrasting colors of a normal screen at a desk job cause it. “Downloading” to a cloud service? Posted: 22 Jun 2021 10:50 PM PDT I try to work as much as possible as a digital designer despite medical challenges, so I end up trying to maximize time in bed. I have subscriptions and points on many sites to download resources, and no time for all of the downloading while at my iMac, so I'm hoping I can somehow "download" all these files straight to Google Drive or some other cloud service on my (older) iPad Air, which is mounted for use from bed. I tried MultiCloud, which doesn't seem to do this. Any other suggestions? If this won't work, can anyone please direct me to a good thread discussing external USB storage? Thank you, in advance.
