    Should I be concerned? I’ve check my Apple ID in settings and all the devices seems to be mine (iPad, old iPhone 6 I turned on a few days ago, PC)

    iphone 11 - update ios 14.6 - alexa app keeps crashing?

    updated my phone last night and now alexa won't open. crashes as soon as i click on it. i've restarted my phone multiple times. undownloaded and redownloaded the app three times now. still won't open. is anyone else having this problem? is it related to the ios update?

    iPhone 11 pro Apple ID won't work

    Iv'e constantly had issues with my apple ID ever since my mom made her own ID it just switched my id on my phone to hers. Now I think I have mine again with my email but for some reason with her phone number attached to it. When I go to it in settings the "Name, Phone Numbers, Email", "Payment and Shipping" and "Sign Out" tabs are all greyed out so i can't click on them and when I click on "Password & Security" is says account details unavailable and won't let me change the password (I forgot it) and I can't even change it from my laptop because my phone can't "connect"

    Does anyone know what's wrong and how to fix this mess?

    Strange metal bit in the back of charging port above the pins, (I can't remember if it was there or not before)... Is this normal on the iPhone 12, or is that debris I need to remove promptly?

    I have a 2013 27-inc iMac that is now ~8 years old (running Catalina OS). After 5+ years, I notice that I have to recover (install OS from scratch) every ~6 months. If I don't do this, things just act weird (e.g., restarts on its own, various processes just keeps crashing repeatedly with Kernel memory access errors like remindd, won't complete booting up, safe mode stuck at 100%, etc..). I initially thought that it is a memory issue but hardware diagnostics on start up indicate no issues found. This is my first Mac and maybe it's time for it to go?

    iPhone water damage...

    So I was at the pool and I accidentally jumped into the water with my phone in my pocket (I know, Im dumb). I got out after abt 30 seconds since I noticed pretty fast. It got really hot and I havent tried turning it back on. What does that mean. Did it short? Is there anything I can do?

    Keyboard freezing and switching randomly?

    Please help. My SwiftKey keyboard is my default one and when I open keyboard on whatever app it pops up, lets me type a couple words before the word recommendation bar flashes and the keyboard glitches and freezes the goes to the default apple one. Why? It's so annoying I like the other keyboard so much better and I've tried deleting the apple keyboard and just having the SwiftKey one and it still pops up the apple one like what? Lol. But seriously please help it's so annoying.

    My Apple Pencil has these stains on it after attaching it to the iPad? There are some scratches on the iPad as well, any ideas what this is and how to prevent?

    On applecard group I saw a pic saying “Apply with no impact to your credit score” but the title of the post was saying “See if you are approved for Apple Card without impacting your credit score.”

    I know that you can check if you can approved and for what amount, without impacting your credit score, but I did't know that you can APPLY without impacting the credit score. The title of the post with what's on the picture, doesn't say the same thing. And the fact that comments are disabled, doesn't seem right!!!

    How do I store ALL MUSIC locally on my Apple Watch, so that I can listen to it without WiFi or cellular?

    I can't seem to find an answer for this. I use Apple Music, and I have 5gb of songs. My watch (series 6 cellular) has 24gb of available storage capacity. So, it shouldn't be an issue to store all of my songs on there. All of my songs are synced, but they aren't downloaded (meaning that I have to stream them). I don't want this, I want them downloaded. But for some reason, I can't find a way to do this. It will let me download playlists, but not my entire library

    Time Machine NAS

    I want to backup multiple mac laptops in our house using Time Machine. Questions:

    1. Can I just buy and plug a hard drive into my google wifi router?
    2. If not, is there a simple NAS solution (something like under $300 and easy to use). Not huge amounts of data or anything super critical. Just in case our laptop hard drive fails.
    3. Bonus question: I have a lot of family photos stored only in apple's shared albums (free storage). But I worry we could lose them. I want to back those up. Easy way to do that?

    connecting all home mac devices to tv

    so im wanting to be able to sit on my couch in the living room and turn on my tv and be like oh i want to work on videos from my imac thats in my office from my tv, or oh i wanna work on beats from my docked macbook pro.

    Is this possible?

    I have a tcl smart tv, so is this a matter of getting like an apple tv, creating some form of networking service, etc.

    Any input and advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

    I want to save my 2013 MBA

    I have an Apple-refurbished 2013 Macbook Air that has served me SO WELL for 8 years now. The one big problem that it's had that has never gone away is that it randomly restarts during video calls. It doesn't matter what service I'm using – Zoom, Facetime, Teams, Google Hangouts – I sometimes have my computer freeze and then restart right in the middle of the call. This has been happening since I got the computer in 2014. I kept thinking it would go away with software updates, and then somehow I went years without video calling often enough for it to be a problem, but the last year obviously had a lot of video calls so it's been bothering me again. Has anybody had experience with this problem? I could honestly continue using the computer because otherwise it's still performing so well but I had a very important call interrupted by this recently so I might need to get a new computer if I can't figure this out.

    I used to use an old mp3 player to listen to music when doing the yard, going for walks, etc, but the past few weeks I've been using my iPhone XR (updated), my Apple Watch (5, updated), and a pair of Aukey True Wireless Earbuds. I start the music, lock my phone as always, and put it in my pocket. When I take my phone out for whatever reason sometimes it's unlocked, an app is open, the flashlight is on, a number of different things like that. I always keep my phone in my pocket and have never had this issue, but for whatever reason it does this when I'm using all three of these devices at the same time. Is it possible the earbuds are causing this?

    Is there any way to prevent my MBP from switching to HDMI audio?

    I've got an MBP with Big Sur, an HDMI monitor permanently connected to it and a Bluetooth speaker. When I turn the speaker on, it connects to the Mac and becomes the default output. However, when it disconnects, the Mac defaults to HDMI audio output. I have to switch outputs every time and it's extremely annoying, especially when I open Apple Music or Youtube and then realize that I can't hear anything because it has defaulted to the wrong output again. It's so frustrating that the basic functionality of remembering the output for the chosen configuration is missing.

    So far I've found several solutions:

    • Buy the Audio Profile Manager app. Looks like it's the only working solution. However, while I'm already frustrated, I'm not sure I'm €5.49 frustrated yet. Still looking for a free option.

    • Change your default display in settings. It's a neat and elegant solution. Unfortunately, it doesn't work.

    • Create an aggregate device. That's a pain in the ass, you won't be able to adjust volume anymore. A good example of the solution being worse than the initial issue.

    • Disable the responsible kernel module (AppleGFXHDA): used to work on earlier macOS versions (until you rebooted), doesn't work on Big Sur.

    • Remove the responsible kernel module: a major pain in the ass (in Big Sur) that will be reverted with the next update, and you'll have to start all over again.

    Do you have any other ideas on fixing this?
