| Possible to unlock an Apple device if PIN is forgotten? Posted: 17 May 2021 05:39 PM PDT My mother passed away recently and left me an iPhone 7+ and an iPad (unsure which model). They're both locked by a PIN. I have her Apple ID info, but can't log in as her phone is not connected to her network any longer. Any tips on how I can open the devices to see if she had any pictures worth saving or am I SoL and have to factory reset them to do anything with them? I'm not sure if she had the cloud storage thing active. I don't own Apple products, so unsure how all that works. Thanks! [link] [comments]  |

| Getting Camera photos / App photos to appear in different albums Posted: 17 May 2021 11:25 PM PDT Hi! So I recent moved from a pixel and one feature I really liked was having separate albums for all my photos: I had an album for screenshots, camera roll photos, Facetune, superimpose, etc. Now on an iPhone all my photos are lumped together into "recent". Though it does sort some of my photos (i.e. Snapchat and Twitter have their own albums which were created, but this is not for every app). I understand I can add albums myself and organize the different photos but that is very time consuming. Is there anyway to say make a "Camera" album and then ensure every photo I take goes into there? Thank you! [link] [comments]  |

| How to save the wallpaper in i-phone 10? Posted: 17 May 2021 10:46 PM PDT Hi everyone, This is the first time I am asking a question about i-phones so I apologize if my question is not clear enough. I would like to save the wallpaper image on my phone. I currently do not have the wallpaper saved anywhere, but I'd like to change my wallpaper and still keep the current one I have for memory. I looked up a few pages but I could not really find an answer to my question. Taking a screenshot also does not work as the apps appear in it. Is there a hacky way to get around it? or is there any other way that this can be done? I have i-phone 10 and I have the latest update ios 14.5.1. | Posted: 17 May 2021 09:24 PM PDT I recently fixed my 4013 error, by disconnecting the Proximity Sensor ( using this video here: This fixed my iPhone 4013 error! - YouTube ) However, now that that portion is disconnected, I occasionally will have the bootloop occur, but the bigger issue at hand is that my front camera is no longer operational. Any ideas on how to fix the proximity sensor, while still having the front camera functioning? [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone 12 Pro battery drains more when in one country Posted: 17 May 2021 08:06 PM PDT I've noticed a strange pattern with my iPhone over the last 6 months. I bought my phone in Australia and have used it there for a while. I noticed the battery will usually go from 90% to 20% in about 20 hours or sometimes less if I use it more. But generally even on minimum use it will drain in less than a day. However, I travelled to India and switched sim cards and have been using it the same amount as I did before, now my battery lasts 24+ hours. Usually a day and a half to go from 90% to 20%. My 5G setting was off in both places so it is only using and looking for 4G. I am not sure what could be causing this difference because it is significant. Could it be my carrier? I considered whether it is weather related but I don't think that should make such a huge difference if at all. My usage has been the same in both places, I use the same apps for the same amount of time on average. What could be causing the difference in battery life? [link] [comments]  |

And if it is software how do I fix it? If it is hardware what do I need to get replaced? It is an iPhone X jailbroken, but screen was already a bit damaged before jailbreak. | Upper camera lens cracked… help! Posted: 17 May 2021 05:48 PM PDT About a week ago I accidentally dropped my phone and the upper camera lens cracked open. And my apple care is expired… I went to a third party store to get it fixed and according to him the "OEM" part cost 29.99 + 25.99 for labor, according to what he said he has to open up the phone to fix it the right way and not getting any fogging on the lens. So the total price with tax is 65.99 or so…. The question is if you guys recommend me to go with the third party store or if would the same thing if I buy one of those Amazon camera lens replacement kit and do it myself???? What I do have is a 61W MacBook Pro 2018 charger, which does have USB-C port. Would it be safe to use the 61W brick for charging, or should I buy a separate 20W one specifically for the phone?
