- Finally upgraded from my samsung s7 to a iphone xs max. Just thought I'd ask what should i expect and any tips for moving data across?

- iPhone 12 Pro Max randomly logs out of most apps in the last 2 weeks.
- Unable to Setup Hey Siri, doesn’t hear me say it during Setup, but works fine when I use home button
- Why is hotspot so hard to handle, if I turn on hotspot and connect to a device, 20 minutes later the hotspot is not visible for other devices, and I have to disconnect and connect again, which disconnects the first device as well and then it works?

I will periodically get a vibration, sometimes 3 or 4 in a row. I cannot locate the source of them. I am not receiving any messages and notifications are turned off for a vast majority of apps. She recently upgraded to a new phone and can no longer use Face Id to access the note. She cannot remember the password she used to lock the note. Is there anyway she can still access this note? Like, I know people always say to replace it when it reaches that, or the charging times will be downgraded but can someone actually tell me if there is any other huge performance issues? I remember others mentioning it at launch, but this week (iOS 14.5.1 maybe?) it is worse than it's ever been. When screen is not at full brightness, dark level blacks seem to shift from pure black to grey. Even while typing this, I see my keyboard at the bottom shifting in color. (Dark theme Reddit.) I plan on contacting Apple, but I have no Apple store near me. Closest is over an hour drive away. [link] [comments]  |

| Unable to Setup Hey Siri, doesn’t hear me say it during Setup, but works fine when I use home button Posted: 09 May 2021 10:14 AM PDT Title says all, I'm on an iPhone 7+ and I'm trying to set up Hey Siri as I'm going on a road trip and want to change music and podcasts safely without touching my phone. I go to Setup "Hey Siri," it says to say Hey Siri 5 times, I've tried numerous times, I say it very loud and clearly, it never detects anything and nothing happens. I know my microphone works fine as I can use Siri with my home button, I've tried resetting my phone and still nothing. What do I do? | Posted: 09 May 2021 06:17 AM PDT Am I not using Iphone hotspot correctly? I have a Oneplus and when I turn on hotspot it is visible for all devices for the duration of the hotspot turned on. On the Iphone it disappears after a couple of minutes even if devices are connected to it [link] [comments]  |

I snagged a free IPhone 12 from T-Mobile to use as an extra burner phone to run tasks with two separate sims. Android has a Do It Later app that can be easily set up to autosend texts to shortcode numbers, and repeat daily. Also gives you the ability to select which sim to send from. I was expecting iphone to have something similar. Looks like I was really wrong. I can't even find an app that will allow scheduling, and sent me reminder to work with shortcode number. Posted: 09 May 2021 07:44 AM PDT Looking to enable old iPhone to automatically record when sensing motion or sound, but without access to WiFi/bluetooth/LTE. I'm trying to record a rocket launch: I'll be placing my old iPhone close enough to capture it and need it to automatically record once it senses motion or sound so I can view it later (I won't be near it and there is no form of internet/cell access where it will be placed). | How do I turn off vibration when using my iPhone as a remote for my Apple TV? Posted: 09 May 2021 05:57 AM PDT iPhone 12, iOS 14.5, USA I am using my iPhone as a remote for my Apple TV. Everything works great but there is one thing that I find super annoying. When I have an app open on my Apple TV and I navigate to where the keyboard pops up on my iPhone (searching Netflix or entering my username and password for example), my phone vibrates. I guess what I'm trying to get at is…the only times I want my phone to vibrate is when I get a call or text. When I'm browsing Netflix or YouTube on my Apple TV and using their search bar, my phone is constantly buzzing when the keyboard pops up. I'm typing this post from my iPhone, it does not vibrate when the keyboard pops ups. Same with texting or using any other app. Just when using it as a remote for Apple TV. In Settings➡️Sounds and Haptics, only texts and calls have vibrations on. System Haptics are turned off there as well. I know I can go to Settings➡️Accessibility➡️Touch and toggle off vibrations, but that would eliminate vibration for everything, including texts and calls, which I don't want. Notifications for Apple TV Keyboard are turned off. I restarted my iPhone. Same. There has to be a setting somewhere to turn this vibration off. I called Apple and they were no help.
