Is the solo loop supposed to be so loose? Posted: 31 May 2021 11:28 AM PDT I just got the new pride band in size 9 and it's pretty damn loose and I don't really feel comfortable with it, yet I can barely even get it over my hand. Is it supposed to be like that? I measured exactly as described and went one size down so I'm kinda surprised. [link] [comments]

Can’t pair phone with Apple Watch, says it needs to update but can’t connect to the internet Posted: 31 May 2021 09:48 AM PDT Posted on r/techsupport and they sent me here. I got an Apple Watch secondhand as a gift, I can't figure out how to pair to my phone. I'm not sure which kind it is, but its an older model. When I try to pair it, it says the Apple Watch needs to update before I can finish setting it up. Then when I select "check for updates" my iphone says that I'm not connected to the internet so it can't download the update, and therefore I can't pair my phone to it. I've been looking it up but the only solutions are for when the phone is already paired to the watch. My phone is definitely connected to the internet, does the watch itself need to have internet connection? I'm not sure what to do because since no phone is paired to the watch, I literally can't do anything with it. [link] [comments]

sync steps on iPhone with rings on Apple Watch Posted: 31 May 2021 12:03 PM PDT I'm not sure if this is an error: The steps in my Health app on my iPhone, registered when my Apple Watch is not with me, do not sync with my Apple Watch. So if I walk 2 hours with my iPhone in my pocket but my Apple Watch at home, it doesn't count for the activity rings... Is this a misconfiguration, or does it just not work what way? Posted: 31 May 2021 11:06 AM PDT Apple Watch Advice: my Apple Watch updated and now won't turn on/illuminate/ or anything. Backstory: I received the Apple watch Gen 3 42mm in December 2020. It has been working very well & I take care to follow the instructions for the watch very carefully - no abrasive elements, no hard water contact sports, no showers, & it's kept very clean. I have used it while swimming and exercising but again no hard water contact sports, just laps in the pool and nothing near 50 meters which is what it's rated too. Today I updated it and that's when things went south. It updated alright (although it was very warm the entire time) then after the watch updated it had trouble pairing and then the Apple logo appeared on the screen off and on multiples times over 30 mins. Eventually it shut off all together and won't respond. When I put it on the charger it just gets really warm, but nothing responds, not even a hard reset. I called Apple support and filed a claim with them. The support person was very helpful but to no avail nothing seemed to work. I have an appointment set up with Geek squad b/c the closest Apple store is 2 hours away. What do you think the issue is? I know that's a broad question but am just looking for general insight. Saving Incomplete Workout Routes Posted: 31 May 2021 09:42 AM PDT Does anyone else have this problem? I go running or walking and track the activity with my Series 3 Apple Watch. The watch displays all the stats during the workout but when I complete the workout only the second half of the route is saved to the map. When I open the activity on my phone the start point on the map is at about the halfway point of the route. It's not always exactly half, but it's usually about halfway. If I then try to import my activity to Strava, it obviously only uses the GPS points saved, so it doesn't recognize the who distance that I went, only the portion that was saved to the map. I'm running with my phone in my pocket and the Nike Run Club app that is running on my phone gets the whole route, so I don't think it's a GPS issue, more like a saving issue. This doesn't happen regularly, but has happened about 5/6 times this year. Doesn't anyone else get this and does anyone have any solutions? [link] [comments]

Grabbing the SE in a few weeks, what features/apps or tricks do you recommend? Posted: 30 May 2021 06:14 PM PDT I've been lurking this sub for some time and I've seen a lot of uses for the Apple Watch that I had no idea existed 😅 with that said, I wanted to know if there's any specific apps/features you'd recommend I use in particular? Your reply is much appreciated 😊 Edit: Interests include tech, gaming, online shopping and fitness [link] [comments]

Apple Watch detected an outdoor walk as an indoor walk. What can I do? Posted: 31 May 2021 09:06 AM PDT Title says it all really. I did a 14km walk across the countryside today, and didn't realise when my watch detected the walkout it was an Indoor Walk. Wasn't until I uploaded the workout to Strava and noticed the lack of GPS data I realised the mistake. I can see my route tracked fine in Google Maps - is there a way I can export the GPS data and attach it to a new outdoor walk manually? [link] [comments]
