- Unusual drain battery on iPhone 12 Pro. Yesterday I configured the AirTag. Every night I leave my iPhone 12 Pro in airplane mode and at most the battery drops by 3%, no more. Tonight it dropped from 90% down to 69%, and in the usage time it says the Find My app worked all the time in the background.

Why does apple insist on not letting you customize the app lib, so anyone I give my phone to can see all my apps at a glance. I know about hiding home screen pages, but the apps are still in the Lib and the most recently used ones prominent at the top. This single issue is a larger annoyance for me than any of the (many) reasons I changed from Android to IOS in the first place. Just copy Samsung's secure folder, where you can have a sandboxed place for apps no-one can see. Rename it and act like you have revolutionized privacy on a smart phone. Useless. With the implementation of iOS 14.5, users will now be able to actively select whether or not a website can track them across other websites. I have read that an expected 68% of users are expected to opt out of being tracked online. This is upsetting advertisers, as they are allegedly threatening to leave the platform. My question is this: Why would you choose to allow yourself to be tracked online? What are the benefits of allowing this? (Honest question, not trying to be snarky.) Posted: 01 May 2021 02:09 AM PDT I ask this because I've got an iPhone 5 phone for £15, have taken out a free Amazon music trial and loaded it up with 50Gb of Amazon music download. My plan is to then see if once the trial is over if I can keep these songs forever if I offline it. (I know this may not work and there may be some timer that wipes all my songs - I'll find out in a few weeks). I know I can turn off WiFi and deny the app it access to cellular, or just use airplane mode forever. But my question is.. if I connect the phone to WiFi with the Amazon music closed and background app refresh off, is there any physical way that the closed Amazon app can access the internet and end my trial/wipe all my music? | Question regarding iOS 14.5 privacy tracking Posted: 01 May 2021 06:38 AM PDT I updated to iOS 14.5 a couple of days back, yet I'm not getting a prompt asking to track when using apps like Instagram or Facebook for the first time. I tried BBC news, just to see if it's anything related to my settings. BBC didn't ask for it either, but after touching on Menu -> Privacy settings/ Do not sell my info, I got the prompt. Then I reinstalled the app and got the prompt on startup. But for other apps, no prompt and the tracking settings doesn't show any of them either. My iPhone thinks I'm near a Samsung 4k TV, which apparently is compatible with the new "Color Balance" TV calibration that works with Apple TV. The problem is, they will not stop. And I have nothing to calibrate, so it just keeps asking me to go through the Color Balance setup. The only thing I can think of is maybe my neighbor owns a Samsung TV? When I click through to start it up, it tells me that I have a bluetooth pairing request with a Samsung Q7 Series TV. I own a Vizio, not a Samsung. The only thing that makes it stop is turning off bluetooth, but that's not a long term solution - I need to use bluetooth! I can't figure this out. Anyone have any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||

Last time this happened, I had to delete and re-add the card, so I tried that, but now I can't re-add it. It originally gave me an error, but after signing out of and back into iCloud, it stopped giving the error and is just stuck loading. Any suggestions? | iPhone 7 Plus Strange Phone/Camera/Other Issues, Please Advise Posted: 30 Apr 2021 11:48 PM PDT So I still have my iPhone 7 Plus, and it's my daily. With a new battery and all, it's been doing fine forever, until a couple days ago. Issues started out of nowhere, no update recently, nothing should have changed. I even tried updating from 14.2 where it first happened to 14.4.2, and then restoring the phone, yet the exact same problems still exist, more or less. Rebooting seems to very temporarily fix some of the issues, but they all return eventually, the phone app issues being the least likely to work at all.
Like I said, rebooting fixes some of those temporarily, but they always return, the phone issues being most persistent of them all. I have no idea what the issue is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I assume this is a software issue, given the hardware used sometimes works after a reboot, for a little while. [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 30 Apr 2021 11:41 PM PDT Anyone else having problems with gboard keyboard and iOS? when i activate voice to text option, and click on the mic icon, nothing happens unless i press it a few times, then it switch to gboard app and back and then im able to use the voice to text feature. Even though the app has been removed. And dad says some message from ios popped up saying mom's device has a Trojan. | Mobile data only on physical sim Posted: 01 May 2021 02:34 AM PDT I have an iPhone running iOS 14.5. I have a physical sim and an esim. However, I just want to use mobile data on the primary (physical) sim. So in the settings for mobile data I set it to Primary and turned off to allow switching. However, if the physical sim is locked (e.g. after a reboot and I don't unlock it immediately) it uses mobile data on the secondary sim automatically. I don't want that.
