    AirPods Pro have lower highs but deeper bass when streaming on my iPhone 8+ (13.5.1) vs my Xr (14.5.1) … why is that ?

    Bought the new iPhone SE today and i can’t do anything until it updates but the update hasn’t done anything from this screen for about a half hour. i’ve already tried starting the whole set up process over and it still gets stuck at this screen.

    Hello everyone. The screen on my iPhone XR died recently and I had to have it replaced. Took it to a third party repair shop. They switched the screen and everything was working correctly except the keyboard. Now the language button on the bottom left is cut off. Anyone have any suggestions?

    Is there a wheel-type keyboard on iOS? Any "creative" keyboards that change the typing game?

    Years ago, I remember seeing a digital wheel keyboard created to make typing more fluid and less taxing for the fingers. Cannot remember the name though.

    I was thinking if there are any keyboards' layouts like a wheel? Apparently it makes travel distance shorter when you hold the phone in one hand.

    Any creative keyboard apps you fell on on iOS? Would be curious to see what's out there!

    Backing up photos/movies to NAS or raspberry pi?

    Hey folks!

    Is there ANY possibility to backup my photos to my NAS? Either directly via SMB or through a raspberry pi?

    The only way I have found out which (quite) works is setting up a nextcloud instance which is aware of my NAS in the background. But I do not really like this solution..

    I don't like backing up my photos to iCloud and would really prefer a daily copy job to my NAS.

    Anyone hacked something like this?

    Having a strange issue on iPhone 12 Pro with voice / FaceTime calls.

    iPhone 12 Pro user with iOS 14.5.1 currently installed. I can't remember when this first started but it was sometime around iOS 14.3 or 14.4 update.

    I'll be in a voice call and the other person will be talking. Their voice will cut out for a second and then the speed will go about 2x for about 3-5 seconds then go back to normal.

    It happened a few times and I thought it was odd but didn't think too much about it until my gf was using FaceTime on her iPhone 12 Pro and it did the exact same thing.

    Just wanted to see if anyone else is having this issue?

    Duplicate contacts

    How come i got duplicate Contacts in my iPhone suddenly? When i look in Groups, theres both "All iCloud Contacts" and "card" - whats this? And how do i get rid of them?

    Iphone - iMessage issue - PLEASE HELP

    Hey guys,

    I've been having this issue with iMessage, my imessage JUST WILL NOT activate with my phone number, it's activated and receiving + sending from my Apple ID (email) not every time I try to get it on my phone number the error pop up comes.

    I've checked the Apple support page, been to my carrier's store (Vodafone - they said sim is fine, no issue on their end), I've also been to an Apple service centre, they couldn't help much, asked me to keep iMessage off for a few days and turn it on again, I did that too but to no avail.

    Would appreciate if I got some help!

    Change Camera default save location

    Dear ios Users,

    I am in the process of switching to ios after a lifetime of android, the reason being that iPhones have a lot of hearing aid compatibility which Android does not. I have the iPhone 12 mini with ios14.

    I am struggling still with my picture management on the phone. For the record, I never used Google photos because I do NOT want any photos in a cloud. I usually had a gallery app in which I had different folders: Camera roll, Downloads, Twitter memes, Whatsapp images.

    The default Photos app seems to be all about deciding how things should be divided, rather than letting me decide. Okay, so I have two apps right now, FE Explorer Pro and Documents, which allow me to create albums and move images.

    But how can I get the Camera app to save to a specific location on default? Everything appears in "recents" unless it's a live photo, then it is in "Live photos" or in created albums such as "Selfies" even though I never created that album. How can I select a custom album to save photos to? I don't mind using a specific app for that. I just can't have whatsapp crap memes mixed up with my photos and I can't find anything on Google.

    Moving from android to iOS

    I have been using android for about 4 years. Recently, my Samsung S10 died and I decided to buy an iPhone 12. Is there anything I need to be aware of when switching to iOS? Some tips and tricks maybe? (Sorry for my English im not a native english speaker)

    Send as SMS gone?

    Hi all,

    I remember I had the option to touch and hold iMessage which didn't send itself because of the missing internet connection. When I did that, I had the option "send as SMS/text message". I recently overstepped my monthly mobile data plan and I tried to do that again, and I can't seem to find that option anywhere. Am I missing something?!

    Camera roll is such a mess

    There's no clear separation in anything. I take a lot of pictures and videos especially of my pets and yeah that's my decision but I already do try to put everything in folders and sort stuff out and all but I wish you could just sort it even further.

    I genuinely can't find anything in there it's horrible

    Old iPhone 7 problems

    I have an iPhone 7. I know it's getting old but I don't have the budget to upgrade this year.

    I don't expect my phone to keep up with new apps and games but I kind of expect old apps that I've always used to continue to work. For example, Spotify and Google maps randomly crash on me. This is annoying since I use Spotify a lot. And even worse, restarting Google maps while I'm driving is just down right dangerous...

    I'm on iOS 14.5.1 and my phone isn't actually from release day. It got recalled 3 years ago and replaced so it's really only 3 years old. Is there anything I can do to make it more stable? It is even possible to roll back to iOS 13?

    iPhone on Bluetooth in car: even when phone is on silent, momentary blip/disruption in audio with every notification.

    Tl;dr: audio is interrupted over BT in car even on silent phone. iOS 14.5.1, iPhone 12 Pro.

    Music is important to me. I don't mind a visual alert but I really mind audible disruption to music (or a podcast) when listening in car.

    Expected behavior: phone side switch is on silent mode, showing orange. Audio should not be interrupted.

    Actual behavior: notifications, apparently all, cause a momentary interruption in the audio, very noticeable.

    Car: 2015 Subaru Forester, Touring model with Harmon Kardon audio, does not have CarPlay.

    Any ideas, much appreciated. Thanks.

    Any apps like Solid Explorer available for iPhone

    I'm thinking about moving over to ios from android, however one of the key things I use my android for is moving files over to a cloud share or a network share on the fly, something like Solid Explorer on android, does this exist. Rather not drop $500+ if I'm not getting what I need.

    What's the best way to transfer WhatsApp data from Android to iOS?

    I need to transfer all my WhatsApp data (chats, images, videos, files, voice notes, etc.) from a Huawei P Smart 2019 to an iPhone XR.

    I know that you can send the chats to your email, but what I want to do is restore all the data on my iPhone. I also know about different programs that can do this, but since they are not free, I'd first like to know which one is the best, or if there's any alternative methods.

    Samsung is copying Apple more than ever with One UI 3

    My folks recently got One UI 3 (Android 11) on their phones and it made me realize how much Samsung copies Apple now. The gallery looks like it was pulled from an iPhone, the lockscreen looks virtually identical, the volume slider is now next to the volume buttons like iPhone. This is funny, it's like role reversal as iPhone used to get criticized for copying the notif pulldown from Samsung. The tables have turned

    a browser pop-up over an app

    hi, yesterday i was browsing in safari and i realized that i started to get an browser pop-up (vars.hotjar.com) after opening an app. (Benefit Plus) it is weird because it wasn't happening an hour ago and it started to be like this after my browsing in safari. so, not sure if it is a malware that comes from those websites. i uninstalled and reinstalled the app, no result. what could be the reason and how can i get rid of it? for now i am not logging in my bank accounts nor financial accounts.

    Books app jutification not working

    Since the last iOS update, the Books app won't justify the text anymore unless it's really small. It completely ruins the experience and joy of reading, especially for people with bad sight.

    For the life of me I can't figure out why is Apple doing this! It worked fine before, and now suddenly this micro-text is needed for justification.

    Does anybody know any workaround or any news of a future update that would fix this?

    I read a lot, so I feel very alienated by this unnecessary move by Apple. I know there are other apps, but iBooks was the best for me.

    Hi all I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this but I thought I'd try. I've been using the Spark Mail app on and off for a while, and while I think it has its benefits to me I just can't get over (what I presume as) this huge bug! For me, the notification quick actions just never work! This is so annoying because I go and press delete, but I've realized that it never deletes anything 🤷🏼‍♂️

    So that is really annoying me, and I'm wondering if any other Spark Mail users have experienced this? Maybe there's a solution! Thanks!

    Group messaging broken on iOS 14.5.1?

    I have the 12 and updated from iOS 14.3 to 14.5.1 and group messaging doesn't work. The setting to turn it on in setting doesn't appear and group chats I'm in with MMS/SMS messaging does not work as I can't send or receive texts. Anyone else having this issue?
