    iOS 14.5 anti tracking and WhatsApp new privacy

    I was wondering since the new feature of Anti tracking in 14.5 will that effect WhatsApp new privacy terms they put into place from May 15th? I think it does but I'm not too sure. Does anyone know?

    iCloud Question

    If you have enabled iCloud photos, added a photo and delete that same photo—does that mean it's also deleted on other iOS devices? Or is the video going to remain in the iCloud photos without being deleted?

    Need help unsubscribing from a calendar

    I was on a website to read comics, and I accidentally subscribed to a calendar that i got through a pop up ad. I can see it in the calendar app, and it says subscribed underneath it, however, whenever I go to settings > calendar > accounts there is no option for subscribed calendars, so I am unable to unsubscribe from it. Any help?

    iOS basic user experience issues

    I'm an android user from last 7 years, recently bought an iPhone 12 and I'm really surprised by the fact that some things are really difficult to achieve in iOS considering user experience.

    Like why doesn't it allow user to delete contact(s) from the contact list itself? Why so many taps to delete a contact?

    Why doesn't the safari browser have a home button?

    Why doesn't the status bar show battery percentage instead of the useless static battery icon?

    Why does the small battery widget doesn't have percentages?

    And many more which I found in past 15 days…

    The text changed color suddenly

    So, I was just wasting my time on my phone and for some reason the text, no not only the text, everything that was supposed to be white changed to cyan all of sudden. Basically the white color wherever it was changed to cyan. I use iPhone 12 And the last update is 14.4.2

    Naturally, I turned it off and then everything turned back to normal, but why would the color change like that? Honestly, I thought the problem was in my eyes and I became colorblind it really freaked me out.

    iMessage - my messages disappear randomly!

    This has been going on for quite a bit - it's random who it happens to but it's always in iMessage - I will get the message notification- if I go read it immediately then I can read it and reply, but if I wait to long - it's wiped clear - even if I reply a few seconds later if I change screens it's gone !!

    I have the window with the persons name but not text - If the person sent me a photo that's still in the info section

    I have search the internet and have found no solutions !!!

    Any ideas ??

    Saving cookies for a particular website in Safari?

    Hi there people!

    I have a quick question. Is it possible to have cookies saved for a website I use pretty much everyday? Every time I acces the website after few hours I have to log in. It's really annoying.

    So far haven't seen such a setting. Hopefully someone can help me with this.

    Why are some websites that are saved to the Home Screen opened in Safari?

    Hello,

    I saved some websites to the Home Screen. When I open them, some of them are opened as an own App which just shows the website, and some of them just open the page in Safari.

    Why is that? Can I somehow change that? It doesn't make a lot of sense if it just opens the page in Safari ...

    I couldn't find anything in google, it's hard to search for that problem lol

    Amazon Prime Photos integration to iOS

    Hi,

    I'm an Amazon Prime customer and asking myself if the integration of their unlimited, in original quality, storage of photos and videos is well integrates in iOS, before any attempts to upload my photos into it. Will I see my photos in Apple Photos (local storage), or is my photos then captive of Amazon Photos app? Will it be mandatory to browse my photos with Amazon Photos then, or just the not stored locally (which is legit)?

    iPhone 12 mini / Dolby vision recording

    Hi guys, I am seeing everywhere that Dolby vision (HDR) recording only works at 30fps max with the 12 mini

    Is it true in 1080p recordings ?

    Should I set the settings from « 1080p auto FPS (60 to 30) » to « 1080p 30fps only » to benefit from Dolby vision recording ?

    Question for Notes

    So I reset my face ID and now my notes with the lock won't show the face id, it just required the pw (which I forgot). Plus I already tried the reset password, no luck. Any suggestions?

    Problem Find my iphone location is always on

    Hi does anyone have any idea why Find My iPhone in 'General > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > Find My iPhone' keeps on getting my location like every minute. I am not sharing my location with anyone, I have checked that in the 'Find My' settings.

    If I make a copy on itunes, erase and restore from that copy, will my photos be kept?

    I want to restore my wife's phone. My plan is to make a copy on itunes, fully erase it and then set it up from that copy. Will she lose her photos or are they part of that copy?

    Help

    In the past 2 days my iphone 11 started randomly crashing i think, it happened around 8-10 times already, here's what happens: I am doing stuff and basically the screen goes black with the loading icon (the one older iphones had when their batteries died) then after some time it goes back to the lock screen. Is there an easy fix? Should i be worried?

    Transferring IPhone from Apple ID-x to Apple ID-y retaining data (don't have apple ID-x pass)

    Hi guys,

    Hope you are all doing well.

    So I was handed down a company work IPhone of an ex employee.

    Now, the problem is ex emp gave the login code but nobody bothered to ask the apple id details. He moved to competitor.

    Now obviously I'm not comfortable using this phone without seperate apple id, I want to shift phone to another apple ID. Primarily pictures and contacts. (I'm assuming on the same phone and number, apps will remain).

    I can't even add any app to the phone and don't want ex employee sneaking on my leads or any market visit pictures so he can know what we're 'looking at'.

    How can it be done just on phone. We are a sales crew and in a remote office, don't have PC/Mac. They just handed me the phone, said everything's on here and basically 'deal with it'.

    I'm not an iOS user.

    How can this be done with just phone.

    iCloud photos vs photos in backups

    Hi all

    For the benefit of others & myself included. Do photos get backed up twice ie if they are being backed up to iCloud and selected as part of phone backups. Do I have to explicitly deselect photos in backups given they are backed up to iCloud ?

    Video setting when recording from "Photo"

    Is it possible to set the video to record at 4k 60fps when quick recording from PHOTO option (I mean drag the camera shutter to the right)? That's the setting I have for videos but doesn't seem to work in this case.

    To record in what I've got set in the Camera settings I have to start from VIDEO.

    Annoying Keyboard Quirk : Bug or "Feature"?

    So I have this weird thing that is happening to the default keyboard on my iPad Air 2 (iPadOS 14).

    I'm learning French with Duolingo and so I have two languages installed : ENG (US) and FRA. Here's my keyboard settings. As you can see, I have every type of predictive typing turned off!

    The only feature that I have on is the Swipe typing.

    Now here's the issue : from time to time, the previous-to-last word that I have swiped, changes to something else! As you can in this video, most of the time I swipe "tu ne" (which means "you not" in french), it changes to "to be". And if I backspace, it erases both the words! This is just one example, it happens time and time again.

    This is extremely frustrating. Is there any trick here that I'm missing? Or is this another "feature" that I have to suffer through?! Mind you, I have predictive typing turned off.

    I'm fine with other keyboard suggestions as well. I have tried GBoard. Unfortunately, I couldn't shrunk GBoard to a floating keyboard and it is really difficult to swipe on such a large keyboard.

    Any help is appreciated! Cheers.
