- Does anyone know if there is a way to overcome this? Like installing a configuration profile? Or any way to get Apple to patch it?

| Watch (series 3) no longer charging Posted: 10 May 2021 07:04 PM PDT I got my Apple Watch in December. I updated it to 7.4 a week ago and just last night it stops charging for more than 2-5 mins then wont charge again until I take it off the charger then it continues to do the same thing. I tried a different charger, same thing. Tried hard resetting the watch, same thing. Anyone else having this issue or can point me in the right direction? | Podcast App Updaye has changed how updated shows are sorted. Posted: 10 May 2021 06:41 PM PDT I see that the podcast app has updates, and now the shows I have added to my library now sort based on which one I've followed most recently. It used to bring the podcast to the top that had most recently updated. I can't imagine Apple did this on purpose, surely. Why would anyone care about what they've recently followed? It's much more complicated to find new shows and keep it sorted to that specific show. Is there something I'm missing here? I looked for any type of settings that I could change this back and can find nothing! I guess I'll have to change apps if this doesn't get resolved. | Apple ipad air (a1474) won't boot Posted: 10 May 2021 06:28 PM PDT Hey all, I recently received an ipad air from a relative, and I can't get it to fully turn on. According to him it worked fine (he got rid of it because he upgraded) and he did a wipe before handing it over. I am not super familiar with Apple products, so I will try to describe what I have tried so far as best I can. If I press the small button on top (power button) it will not turn on, however if I plug it in to a cable that is connected to a wall plug it will display the Apple logo. After that the screen is blank, but still backlit. I have tried holding both the power button and home button, if it's not plugged in, this does nothing (at least that I can see). If it's still plugged in to the wall, the Apple logo will disappear and then come back, but still get no further. I have also tried plugging the cable into my PC (Windows 10) with itunes open, as well as my girlfriends macbook but nothing happens on the ipad, and it does not show up in itunes or anywhere else. I've been having episodes not appear on my newer OSes (Big Sur, iOS 14.5.1) but those episodes will appear on my computers running Catalina. It's driving me a little nuts. After a few hours my new ipad started doing the same thing, i have no case or cracks in my new ipad pls help. | iPhone XS - Leaking Battery Acid? Posted: 10 May 2021 06:19 PM PDT Hi guys, I dropped my 2.5 year old iPhone XS (without case) the other day for one of the first times, it left a small screen crack at the bottom of the phone. A day later I noticed a dark sticky substance (like glue) on the screen by the volume keys. I cleaned it off, it stained the screen a bit, but it hasn't seemed to reappear. My concern is that when I dropped the phone, it damaged the battery and the sticky stuff is toxic battery acid.. Is this realistic? The phone appears to be functioning normally. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 10 May 2021 04:04 PM PDT This issue started just over 2 weeks ago. I sometimes lose complete control of my iPad and it starts to randomly move across the Home Screen and open apps on its own with no input. First fix I tried was software update, then resetting the settings and factory reset. None of these fixed the issues. After about one week of the problem I noticed a pattern of it only occurring during or immediately after the iPad was charging. I tired changing the charging block and wire, along with using a different socket and none of these stopped the ghost touch occurring. For the next few days I was able to live with this issue by not using the iPad when it was charging, but now it has started to control itself when not charging and has not been for a long time. At this point I'm fairly certain it's a hardware issue but want to try everything before taking it into the apple store since it's out of warranty and I don't want to pay a fortune to have it fixed. Is there anything else I can try to resolve this issue by myself that I haven't already done? [link] [comments]  |

Before, the keyboard/touchpad would sometimes not work, requiring the lid to be shut and opened several times before they'd work again. Got a new ribbon part and put it in, replacing the old one. Now, the touchpad seems to be consistently working, but not the keyboard. It doesn't light up or register input at all now. I'm sure I installed everything correctly, and if the ribbon affects both the keyboard AND touchpad, why would one suddenly stop working entirely, while the other is fine? What should I do here? I checked some wallpaper apps on the app store and found it was this Wallpaper Central app. I don't have the app installed (as you can see on the app store page) and I also cant remember ever installing it on my iPhone 12 (I had downloaded it on my X sometime back). | Posted: 10 May 2021 05:20 PM PDT My 2019 MBP is being repaired at Apple (for almost 4 weeks now!). I've been using my old 2015 MBP. I have access to a 2019(?) MBA, and I'm curious if this would be a better machine to use in the interim. MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)2.8 GHz, Quad-Core Intel Core i716 GB RAM MacBook Air1.1 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i58 GB RAM On paper, the MBP looks like the clear winner. But this machine has been grinding to a halt with Zoom, Dropbox, Chrome, and a few other apps open. It took me 5 minutes to type this out - waiting patiently for the cursor and text to catch up every 10 seconds. Will the MBA confer any advantage? [link] [comments]  |

It's draining my battery and is kind of annoying too. I even tried disabling safari and putting a limit on it and turning my phone off but nothing is working. | Function keys just stop working all of a sudden Posted: 10 May 2021 07:27 PM PDT I am using the apple magic keyboard. For some reason my function keys just don't work anymore. My volume, media and brightness keys still work. When I press f3 it doesn't show all my screens and when I press fn + f11 nothing happens either. I tried turning off and on my keyboard(It doesn't work on the keyboard of the laptop either). I have the Use F1, F2, ect. not checked so I can just press f11 to turn up the volume, and on the shortcuts menu I pressed Restore Defaults. Why did this happen all of a sudden and how can I fix this? [link] [comments]  |
