| My apple account says it’s locked out but it’s not. Posted: 12 Mar 2021 11:17 PM PST So I'm trying to update apps for the App Store and it keeps telling me to sign in. When I do it says "your account has be locked out do to security reasons and must be unlocked." When I try I'm given the option to do it by Email or Birth date. Both of them do nothing. No email is sent and the birth date keep telling me it's wrong when I can look at my account and see that it's not. I'm still able to download apps like nothings wrong I just can't update anything, and there is no issue getting on my account form apples site and nothing saying there was a account lock do to any suspicious activity. What I mean is, if I record anything with HDR on and send it to someone or upload it to a social media platform, will these videos have any lack on quality since they're recorded with HDR on but the platform doesn't support it? | Yahoo Unread(?) emails and Widgetsmith Posted: 12 Mar 2021 09:53 PM PST I have no unread Yahoo emails on my iPhone X yet all 27k+ emails are showing up on the homescreen icon. The only thing i was doing around that time was adding Widgetsmith photos to my homescreen, nothing else, then those unread emails just happened. What could have caused this? Does Widgetsmith have anything to do with it, can this app be trusted? I just downloaded this app 12 hours earlier before this happened. I deleted the app and changed my Yahoo password. Tried looking for a solution and here are some of what i did, but none worked.
I haven't tried the last two suggested fixes. One is to change apple id password. I don't want to do this coz now i'm not exactly sure what my password is and i don't wanna get locked out. The other is reset. Any fix that really works? And can i trust Widgetsmith and download it again? Appreciate all the help. Is this something i should be concerned about? Or is there no safety issue here? I probably would just download the Gmail app and add Yahoo there. But i still want this thing fixed. [link] [comments]  |
| Posted: 12 Mar 2021 08:39 PM PST I do not own a Iphone currently, but have thought about switching from a Samsung since a lot of my friends have one. Tonight they had an issue with facetime that caused all of us a bit of concern. We were talking and my friend was watching tv. They wanted to show me something on the tv and, not remembering I had an android, switched to facetime to show me. On my end the phone call was quickly disconnected, but on his end he was connected with video to an unknown person. They both were able to see and hear each other. My friend was weirded out and quickly ended the call and called me back. After talking a bit he decided to try it again to see if it was a one time glitch, or if it would happen again. While we were on the call he again tried to switch to facetime with me. Again on my end it ended the call, but on his end he was again connected to another random person. This person could again hear and see my friend, just like an intended facetime call. I tried to do a search to see if this was a known glitch, but could not find any mention of it anywhere. Has anyone else had this occur, or heard of it? One of the selling points to me thinking about switching to Apple is the security, this experience has me a bit concerned about that. I pull up safari, with google as my search engine, and nothing will load and the session will time out. If I change my search engine, it works just fine. And this only happens over LTE, not WiFi. | Help with Iphone Xr, cant download apps Posted: 12 Mar 2021 03:23 PM PST Downloading absolutely any app in the app store its a gamble that takesforever, after i press "get" and the loading circle stays there for minutes. Sometimes the app freezes. I have been able to download Youtube and Instagram but it felt so odd, like almost luck that i was able to get those because anyother app just stays there or freezes the appstore. Sometimes after some minutes it would ask me to tap the lock button two times and use face id to get the app, but even when tha happens it just keeps loading until the "get" button appears again. I have no clue what to do, before this i had something similar where after clicking "get" it would take sometime but eventually i could download any app, but it seemed odd so i restored my phone which was weird and odd, it got stuck at random screens and i had to restart the process many times. I even got in contact with apple support, which guided me on the restoration process through itunes, but holy shit it took 2 hours and after all that trouble now i cant even download apps at all, or just some, i really dont understand this is so weird. I have been trying to solve this all day and its driving me insane. What i have tried so far: restoring from scratch. Log in and out of the apple store with apple id. Close and open the appstore. Close appstore, restart phone, open appstore again. Absolutely nothing seems to fix this. Current ios version is: 14.4.1 [link] [comments]  |

All of the solutions I am finding online for installing the ringtone on my friend's phone are insanely clunky, email them the file, then they have to run it through garageband just to get it installed.... or even worse connect it to a computer **looking for a solution that does not require use of a computer, or loading the audio file into the garageband app** Isn't there a simple way I can send someone a ringtone via email or imessage and they can just set it as their ringtone? | iPhone 11 Pro Max stuck in recovery mode Posted: 12 Mar 2021 03:57 AM PST I tried to update my iPhone 11 Pro Max to IOS 14.4 but when it finished I had an error saying "There is a problem with the iPhone "iPhone" that requires it to be updated or restored". I clicked on update and now it's stuck on "preparing iphone for software update" the past 2 hours and my iPhone screen is the "support.apple.com/iphone/restore" while my iphone is already connected to my PC. It also keeps on restarting to a black screen (then there's a disconnection sound on my PC), there's an apple logo with black background for 1 second, then the screen comes back to "support.apple.com/iphone/restore" (and then once again there's a sound on my PC that it connected) How do I fix this? I remember being able to play music in the background from my library while at the same time recording from the voice memo app (might've been a third party app from the AppStore) I can't find any way of doing this anymore, I have the iPhone 12 Pro Max on iOS 14.4, so not sure if it's the iOS I'm on or just not able to or just another easy way to do it. If anyone knows of any way to allow the music to keep playing in the background while I record audio (I know you can record video with background music, just looking for audio) it would be greatly appreciated! For some reason, I went to remove my headphones the other day and when I plugged them back in, a pop up came up and it was trying to confirm that the lightening cable I'm using are headphones. I clicked yes and then after that, the buttons on my headphones stopped working. I've tried everything like cleaning out the plug in port, restarting my phone, resetting my settings, downloading the software update, I reset the settings for the headphones and nothing is working. | Help with iCloud/photos/storage? Posted: 12 Mar 2021 08:18 AM PST I have a ton of pictures that I uploaded from my PC to my iCloud account for storage. I'd like to have these pictures on my iPhone but have a few questions. I'm able to open an iCloud album and "select all" and "download" the pictures to my iPhone. When I do this, all of the pictures are being put into my "Recents" album - and then I'm selecting and creating a new album on the iPhone itself. I imagine this is the correct way to accomplish this? In doing this, obviously I'm sucking up storage on the iPhone to store all of the pictures. I have purchased additional iCloud storage, so how do I use this to my advantage with conserving space on my iPhone? Is this even possible, or is iCloud basically for stuff I'm not using at the moment and don't wish to immediately access? Please correct me if I'm looking at it all wrong, but I'm assuming the "Recents" album on my iPhone is basically a "shoebox full of pictures" and by creating specific albums, I'm basically just tagging them to appear in "X album", right? Once I download all of my photos to my iPhone FROM iCloud, and I delete them from iCloud, I'll STILL have them if I backup my iPhone to iCloud, right? So in the event I lose my phone, I can still restore a new iPhone FROM the iCloud backup, and all of my photos will reappear on the new device, right?
