    Issue with iPad Keyboard + Bear app: Single quotes and double quotes in code blocks

    So I just started experimenting with code blocks using the Bear app on the iPad Pro.

    I noticed that using single quotes and double quotes by pressing the keyboard button (via Magic Keyboard, or software keyboard) doesn't give the right symbols for the proper coding format (at least in Python).

    As you can see in the screenshot linked above, the default quote symbols produced by the iPad is "italicised", and the more appropriate quote symbols is supposed to be "straight down". For some reason I managed to get this "straight down" quotes by copying it from a separate document.

    On my Mac, however, this issue is non-existent. The quote symbols are typed in appropriately in a code block. Outside of a code block, it converts back to the "italicised" version which is more appropriate in plain text.

    I plan to make notes on my programming course using Bear and I will be using code blocks a lot. The Syntax highlighting feature is the main reason I'm interested in Bear. However, the difference between the quote symbols is a big deal to determine strings.

    I wonder if anyone has noticed this too.

    Screen Protector

    Hi guys, so like I'm sure many people have asked before I'm stuck on whether to get a matte or glass screen protector for my Ipad air 4. I'm going to use it for primarily entertainment but i also want a good drawing experience because i want to get into digital art. I have heard that overall it is a better drawing experience to use a matte protector however i have also heard that it wears out your nibs faster, it scratches really bad and it distorts the color. i guess my question is will i still have an enjoyable drawing experience with a glass screen protector or is it really that uncomfortable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    [iPad OS] How do you delete Safari history WITHOUT removing cookies?

    I've been going through the settings to find any ways to delete Safari history, while keeping cookies, but I can't find anything. Google isn't helping either. Does anybody know if there is a way to delete Safari history on the iPad without removing the cookies, sort of like how you can do this by holding option when trying to delete history on MacOS Safari?

    Do I need to back up my iPad if I only use video editing ?

    I mainly use my iPad for editing videos with projects (LumaFusion), that are unfinished and I stream tv shows occasionally. My iPad keeps telling me i haven't backed up in ages. I don't want to buy a iCloud storage plan. Do I really need to backup ? Or can I back up to an external drive ? Thank you guys

    Type c to 3.5 jack adapter , and the durability of IPad’s type c port?

    Hi there, I have iPad Air 4 and I want to use the 3.5 adapter for my headphone. Do you think that ipad type c port is durable and didn't break down over time if use the 3.5 adapter ? Or did you face any problems regarding to type c port?

    Best way to watch movie files?

    I want to watch movies on my iPad that I have on my laptop. Ideally without streaming it to my ipad

    What video file viewer would you recommend?

    I have the video files in my Google drive ready to watch but downloading video files from Google drive is a little finicky, maybe I'm not used to it yet.

    What ways do you use to transfer movie files to your ipad?

    Revived old Ipad 2, 9.1.3, with 16G wifi only, what to deal with it?

    Did a quick research of the samiliar question from this sub,. Well, 9.1.3 kinda sucks, so I am not sure if I go for a downgrade, or just jailbreak it for more productive usage

    Nothing to monitor, so camera-related won't need

    Some recommendations?

    I'd had a thought of having it connected to my projector, but'em, isn't 16G not large enough? 2 to 3 movies for a transfer once watched, it sorta tedious

    No Apple Macbook series but Windows' only, and I have an X
