Posted: 25 Mar 2021 02:13 PM PDT Supposedly, if you say to Siri "what did he say" it will rewind 20 seconds and turn on subtitles. However, every time I try it says "Sorry, you'll need to continue in the app". Does this work for anyone else? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 09:51 AM PDT Hello, Bought an AppleTV HD from eBay. Came with original everything. The issue is the Siri button doesnt work on the Apple TV. When You press the mic button on the remote, I get an error message (see pic). I can't ask Siri to do anything and I can't dictate anything. It's like the remote doesn't hear me... but I've tried other remotes (that work fine) and still nothing. I have tried resetting the Apple TV, pair a different remote, re-pairing this remote and nothing works. Does anybody have a fix for this issue or know what's going on? [link] [comments] |
Thoughts on Youtube TV as OTT ? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 08:51 PM PDT So on another thread I mentioned that I was looking at getting rid of cable. Seems like I need an OTT to connect to my Apple TV if I want some types of programming. My key thing I want to try not to lose is sports, particularly NFL and NBA. I THINK that would be covered via Youtube TV, but was wondering if that is correct. Anyone with experience there? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 05:51 PM PDT I have tried hooking my AppleTV 4K though my Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A730 to hopefully take advantage of the supposed 4K pass-through. I have tried all of the suggested settings to set it properly to show up as 4K input to my Sony Bravia XBR65X800H. To no avail it only shows as a 1080 HDR input. With the AppleTV 4K directly hooked to the tv it automatically shows as a 4K HDR input. It seems to be a common issue with Yamaha receivers in general. If anyone has a Yamaha receiver or the same one as myself, what settings did you use to get 4K out on the receiver? Also, what receiver is everyone using with their AppleTV 4K? Is there a list of OOB compatible receivers? [link] [comments] |
Apple fitness missing features Posted: 25 Mar 2021 12:14 PM PDT When logging into Apple fitness app it shows treadmill cycling etc. but no longer shows hiit, strength, or core. Anybody else having this problem? [link] [comments] |
STARZPLAY subscription question Posted: 25 Mar 2021 03:51 PM PDT Hi! I just subscribed to STARZPLAY but on the web, and I can't see a way to set it up on Apple TV. Apple just want me to pay por a new subscription. Is there any workaround to this issue or is just crap as it sounds? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Is the Apple TV HD (4th generation) capable of matching content frame rate? Posted: 25 Mar 2021 03:35 PM PDT I have had a surprisingly hard time finding a definitive answer to this question. Most websites mention that only the Apple TV 4k can match content framerate, but some websites claim that this feature was later added to the regular fourth generation Apple TV. Apple's support page implies that anything later than 3rd gen can do it, but I'd appreciate it if someone here can confirm on their own device. This is an important feature to me and very few devices can do it right, but I don't want to shell out for a 4k unit since i don't even own a 4k TV. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Constant ads for free Appletv+ when I already have Apple One Posted: 25 Mar 2021 01:58 PM PDT I use the Apple TV app on my Samsung TV. I recently bought an iPad. The app knows that I recently bought an iPad, but doesn't recognize that I also have Apple One Premier. Every time I open the app, or even just after watching an episode, it takes me to a screen where it's telling me I get a year of Apple TV free because of my iPad purchase and to click to sign up. It's not a huge deal, but it's kind of annoying to constantly be brought back to that screen for something I already pay for. Any ideas on how to get it to go away? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 25 Mar 2021 01:16 PM PDT I made this thread yesterday and it appears it's happening to YouTube for me, not everything. This is happening to you guys too, right? No fix I'm assuming? [link] [comments] |
