| Why is Apple Music TV so hard to find? Posted: 07 Mar 2021 12:57 PM PST I know this probably doesn't matter to most people but why is Apple Music TV so hard to find? It seems like it should be at least under the "Videos" tab but the only place I've been able to find it is pretty far down under the "Browse" tab. Does anyone have any insight into this? Is there something I'm missing? I love the idea of Apple having a music video channel but it doesn't really seem like they care if anyone tunes in. They pushed it a little bit during the holidays but now it's almost nowhere to be found. [link] [comments]  | ||

The Ps4 and box one controllers are an option as I could use them with the switch through an adapter, but would any problems arise from not using them with a ps4/xbox one at all? | Posted: 07 Mar 2021 10:57 PM PST I did a bit of googling and unless something changed VLC supposedly handles DLNA content. But for the life of me all I see are options for SMB, FTP and Plex. Am I missing something or did VLC get nerfed in more recent versions? More detail: trying to connect to a Windows 10 Pro desktop running Windows Media Player as the streaming server. Works on other devices, but my 4K Apple TV with VLC 3.0.12 doesn't seem to have any UPNP functionality (even though the About VLC in Settings calls out a UPNP library in the legalese). And lately the airplay has been failing: every time I try to airplay something from my iPhone or Mac it will say "couldn't connect to "Apple tv"". | Posted: 07 Mar 2021 07:15 AM PST My AppleTV keeps freezing on me. I did a speed test and got a very slow upload speed. Did a test on my phone on the same wifi network and speeds were fine. I can also mirror a laptop screen onto the AppleTV from the same wifi network with no issue. Anyone had a similar issue and found a way to fix it? Would a reset help? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Posted: 07 Mar 2021 02:48 PM PST Hello all, I've recently started using shortcuts to control Homekit devices, including my Apple TVs. I'm having fun trying new shortcuts, but there is one thing that I haven't figured how to do yet. Using the Sleep Apple TV shortcut function works well, my issue is when I re-open my Apple TV, it keeps playing whatever was playing when I put it to sleep. Even if I try to open a different app before putting my ATV to sleep, it doesn't work. For example I'm watching a video on youtube. I lauch my shortcut, which opens Prime Video before putting the Apple TV to sleep. When I re-open youtube it will be at the same video, at the same timestamp as when I lauched my shortcut. Using shortcuts, is there a way to simulate the pressing of the Menu button on the remote before putting the TV to sleep? Thanks! [link] [comments]  | ||

It constantly crashes to the Home Screen, freezes, refuses to play streams, and the stream names are oddly formatted after the crashes. | Posted: 07 Mar 2021 09:28 AM PST Been having an issue lately where my AppleTV will wake up and the icons and fonts look like old 16bit Super Nintendo quality. The icons have jagged, pixelated edges, and everything looks super low res. A reboot fixes everything, just hoping to fix a minor annoyance now before it turns into something worse later on. This is on a 2020 Vizio 65" P Quantum, and a gigabit connection. [link] [comments]  |
