I'm in Vietnam and they have these stores that sell iPhones for a smaller fee that are 99% new, for example. I bought an iPhone XS and I have to charge the battery almost twice a day, even though I don't actually use the phone all that much. I sent the phone back to them, they changed the battery, which I'm sure is a knockoff, and it still only lasts a few hours.. I changed my SIM card, on their recommendation and it is still bad. What is the normal battery lifespan of these phones? I looked online but this can be misleading. Thanks I'm advance. [link] [comments]  |

I don't feel the need to repair it, so I'd like to know what safety precautions I have to take. There aren't any pieces coming out of the back, but I can feel a few of the cuts. So looking for a way to make use of it as a remote "surf check" camera( personal ise not public!).. would save me an hours drive to see if the surfs any good :) Looked online but all the apps use wifi, i really need cellular connection. Then got a text so I switched to my messages tab, without closing out of Contacts. However, when went back to contacts, Create New Contact was closed and the number was gone, and I was instead looking at my regular contacts list. Screen is not showing anything, but it responses to the touches, like touching password part and it gives sounds of those touches, but it doesn't show anything else. After couples of restarting, it right now shows green lines straight through the notch. Note that, it doesn't have any cracks, it has a protector glass. So what could be possible source where problem arouses? Is it about motherboard, or screen just ? I have encountered an issue recently that I can't figure out and I don't know what wording to use to search for an answer elsewhere. When using my phone - for examples sake - say I am using the Reddit app. I click a link which swaps to safari. In the top left corner it would usually say <Reddit and if I tap that, it'll go back to the previous app. Within the last week I have noticed that rather than displaying the app I was redirected from, it says "<Search" like I was redirected from the search function. (Which I never use) When I tap the <search it brings up a completely blank screen that shows my home screen blurred out. I assume because it wasn't a search that took me to the second app. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thank you! I really hope that makes some sort of sense. [link] [comments]  |

| [Help Request] iPhone 8 full storage infinite boot loop Posted: 23 Feb 2021 11:30 AM PST I have an iPhone 8 that is stuck in an infinite boot loop; The screen appears black with the white apple logo as it attempts to open for a few minutes until it subsequently fails, turns off, turns back on to the black screen with white apple logo, and tries to open again to the same result infinitely until its battery eventually depletes. I did not have iCloud activated on this phone or a recent manual backup before the boot loop started so I would not like to restore the phone to factory settings as I would lose all of my personal data, contacts, photos, etc. Prior to the boot loop starting, I had been using this phone without updating to the most recent iOS and with full storage (64/64GBs used, receiving the iPhone storage is full notification). I suspect this is the root cause behind this predicament that I am in. The phone is not jailbroken or altered in any way. I have not tried to update the phone when connected to iTunes yet because I suspect that attempting to strip it of its old iOS and replace with the newest version while it has full storage will result in Error 14, a bricked phone, or some form of corruption that will leave me with the only remaining option being a full restore. I would like to ask the community for advice and possibly explore my options for data extraction before that. Additionally, I read a post about downloading a signed IPSW of an older version of iOS from the internet and trying to update the phone to it as a potential way of getting the phone to open without any data loss, but I am unclear on how exactly that process would work. What would the best approach be to try to get this phone operational again without losing the data on it? Thank you [link] [comments]  |

When I compose an email in its specific folder, the signature shows up. But when I try to compose an email on the main page, then select the new email (its not my default, so I have to manually change it), and the signature does not show up. | iPhone 11 Pro Max Bootloop (Full storage) :( Posted: 23 Feb 2021 05:26 AM PST Hi everyone, So basically my phone had about 450MB before I tried restarting it. My 200GB icloud was full, and my phone storage was so full that apps wouldn't open at all or immediately crash. So, I purchased the 2TB iCloud but my photos weren't uploading, it still said "iCloud full" so I thought restarting my phone might fix it but it's stuck in on the apple and I don't have a backup. I tried the update in recovery mode but now it's stuck in recovery mode. I've been looking up software that might help but reviews are terrible on all the ones I've seen recommended. I've been trying to fix this for about 3 hours and I'm about ready to give up 😢😢 My icloud backup says incomplete at over 100GB so there might be some stuff in there I can recover, but I don't know how. Any suggestions at all or do I just have to face the loss of about 5 months of data? Thanks! [link] [comments]  |
