    I was wondering if you could make a screensaver of an accurate working clock on an iPad, similar to how it would be on a computer in screensaver mode. I have an iPad Air 4th gen and an iPad Pro 3rd gen (12.9)

    I use my iPad at night on my bedside table, because I fall asleep watching Hulu. I wake up intermittently throughout the night so I can check the clock and my iPad is usually the first device I check. Sometimes I check my phone clock depending on which device is closer.

    Of course the normal clock is still pretty visible, but mixed with bad eyesight and it being in the middle of the night, I was wondering if there's a widget I can use for a bigger clock screensaver. I'm running iOS 14.3

    macOS Big Sur 11.2 Display Issues on M1 Mac Mini

    I have been using a M1 Mac Mini for the past couple of months with Big Sur 11.1. I noticed 11.2 was released today with an apparent fix for the HDMI monitor sleep issue (yay), so I upgraded. The upgrade itself seemed to go smoothly, but after restarting, my monitor has begun occasionally (every 3-5 minutes) blacking out for 1-2 seconds before reconnecting.

    I have checked the HDMI cable, reset my monitor settings, unplugged and rebooted the Mac Mini, but nothing has resolved the issue. I looked into the display profile and scaling, but nothing seems off.

    I am using a Dell S2719DC 27" 1440p monitor, a standard HDMI 2.0 compliant cable, and a 8GB/512GB M1 Mac Mini with macOS 11.2. I did not experience this flickering before the upgrade, and from my limited research and knowledge of the M1, it doesn't seem that there are any SMC or NVRAM options to clear on these models.

    Any suggestions or ideas, short of having to reinstall macOS?

    Shift+Click not working system wide.

    Title.

    Shift+Click to select a range of items doesn't work. This is a system wide issue. Doesn't work in Finder, Music, Pixelamtor. Nada.

    The issue is not the keyboard. It persists with the internal or external keyboard.

    Same for mouse.

    Running a 2015 13" MBP with 11.2.

    Any thoughts appreciated!

    Why are my FaceTime photos not saving to my camera roll???

    It's only recently started doing this, and I've tried toggling the app many times but to no avail. I've seen this problem happen to a lot of people online but haven't found a method that works yet. Any advice would be much appreciated thank you

    So, I have an older iPhone 6S Plus. I upgraded to the XS Max so this is a backup phone so I really only use it for an alarm clock, light social media and pictures/ photos. I completely forgot the password a few days ago and tried a bunch. Then I thought I would just reset it since I really didn't have much on it to begin with. Tried resetting while logged into the iTunes account it's hooked up to. Downloads the update, and comes up to the "Extracting software" part. Gets Near the end and a error message pops up. I thought maybe because my MacBook is older. I have tried this on 2 different computers and the same thing happens, so I really think it's something with the phone. Is there anything else I could try? Really liked having a secondary phone for pictures/ camera.

    Tried upgrading my old gen MacBook Air to Big Sur this afternoon, installation won't complete

    Hi. I'm a bit worried because I hav online exams tomorrow.

    This afternoon I tried updating my old gen MacBook Air to Big Sur. The installation was slow, and the status bar was stuck on less than a minute remaining for a good 30 minutes until it said "An error occurred preparing the software update". I've tried shutting it down, but when it turns back on it has me sign in and then the installation starts over only to shoot another error.

    When the update fails it takes me to startup disk page. It says "Select the system you want to use to start you computer" but there are no options to choose from. The only option I can select is "Target Disk Mode"

    I've tried restarting it and holding command+r to be able to boot from my old OS but it appears my disk is encrypted? (I never did this) and when I select that disk it prompts me to put in my login password. I entered the password and it says it is wrong (its the only password I use). I tried unlocking the disk with my Apple ID and password but it says that this account is not authorized.

    Can anyone help me? I need the computer ASAP. I don't mind being stuck on the old OS as long as the computer functions properly. I can't afford to get a new one atm.

    macOS Catalina doesn't recognise my external optical drive

    And yes, on my old 2018 MBP with Catalina it works perfectly connected via usb 3 to usb-c adapter to the thunderbolt port. Now I'm on a 16" MBP, and it makes intermittent strange noise (like it's trying to read but get no much power supply), ate my disc and... Nothing is still inside, won't eject. It works perfectly on Windows so the optical drive is fully working as well as the adapter too because I tried it with other peripherals. mac system doesn't recognise any optical disc connected. I already tried to:

    1) see if my optical disc is visible via finder general preferences and via utility disc, but no

    2) reset SMC, NVRAM and PRAM

    I cloned my old preferences from my old MBP so I think there's a setting conflict that needs a reset, but I don't know how to do that. Hope it isn't a port power supply problem because this is, you know, "strange" to be kind... Thanks and have a nice day!!

    I need some questions answered please

    My wife has a ipad and iphone with the same icloud account. If she factory resets the iphone will the photos on the iPad be deleted also?

    I'm confused because when I delete a photo on the iphone it deletes on the iPad as well...

    I'm cleaning a MacBook Pro 2017 model and the screen turns on and works for about two seconds then cuts black. I can see there's pixels turning on and flashing at the top of the screen but I don't know the problem. Any fixes or ideas are appreciated! I'm unsure how to show pictures but this is new to me.

    Underscan Mac OS HDMI issue - years of this issue and I am over it, what do?

    So what's the deal with this issue never seemingly being addressed and what can be done to fix it. After sleep or power cycle the monitor under scan settings reset EVERY SINGLE TIME. I am about ready to throw my M1 Mac out the window and can't believe it has yet still the same issue from my 2012 Mac mini to the new M1 Mac.

    I can see this issue raised with apple for years yet all I see is convoluted terminal commands and its a simple bug fix isn't it? How do you make Mac OS remember under scan setting in the monitor settings?

    MacBook Air Password Reset

    Hello! I know my password for logging into my MacBook, but when I try to change the settings, I have to click the lock to make changes, and that brings me to a screen where I have to put in another password. Problem is, I don't know this password, and I have no clue how to recover it. I've tried google but so far nothing.

    Ipad Pro Question..My view screen is cropped when recording vodeo.. Object Im recording fills screen onscreen, but then in recording I can see over and under. How do I make live display accurate??

    Does this I/O board look damaged to you? After a liquid spill the trackpad was wonky and then after a shutdown the computer won’t start and the charger won’t light up. After a tear down the logic board seems fine. The only thing that caught my eye were the discoloration in the screw holes.

    Catalina Music App not displaying content of home shared playlists

    So I have a big iTunes library on my imac and I want to just import a playlist onto my MacBook Pro that has limited storage. However when I go to my imacs playlists on my MacBook Pro it displays the name and even the custom playlist image however not the songs, also, if I double click on the playlist the content of it starts playing, just not displayed and crucially therefore not allowing me to import them. Any help would be appreciated.

    New Apple iCloud Passwords Chrome Extension - Not Working

    So Apple just recently added iCloud Password support to Chrome allowing both your Chrome passwords and iCloud passwords to sync. The problem is I, and according the some users from the Verge article I linked cannot get it to work. Just wondering if anyone would be able to try and install the extension and see if they can replicate the issue or get it to work.

    Upon installing the extension and opening it, it asks me to download iCloud which I already have installed.. it's just an endless cycle. I have tried uninstalling both the extension and iCloud as well as restart my PC.

    Edit: Currently speaking to Apple support.. will update.

    UPDATE: FIXED !! If you're having an issue just update iCloud from the Microsoft store. Update just got pushed out.

    Would like to use my MacBook Pro 2014 camera on my IMac 2014. Is it possible by any mean?

    I need to use the angle of the camera of my Mac book for certain calls (zoom etc) but I need to use my IMac to host them, I thought to use my MacBook as a second screen but I'm not sure that it will work. If there isn't any way I'll just buy a webcam but I would like to save my money if possible. Thanks a lot.

    Just want to confirm if I downloaded a virus or not

    I was on Reddit on my phone and I opened a safari page through Reddit. This was an adult website. When I clicked on something within the website I got a pop up that looked similar to the "20% remaining" pop up on iPhone however it said you have installed a virus. Then it took me to the App Store and showed me an antivirus that I didn't download. When I looked for the antivirus on the App Store later I couldn't find it when I just searched up antivirus. The part that is worrying me is that the pop up looked very similar to something that would actually be from apple. Am I infected or are things all good?
