    AirPod Pro Recall

    I received a pair of AirPod Pros in December 2019, around late august 2020 the right one began to have static and cracking in the right microphone, which seems to be a common trend. This was before the recall was put in place, but I received a replacement as I was in warranty. Tonight the left one (the one that was still from December 2019) began to have the same issues. Would I be covered by the recall for the left even if the right one has been fixed. Or even covered at all? I think so because the website says pre-October 2020 models but I just want to be sure, as I don't want to pay $90 for an issue that seems to be apples fault.

    Updating Very Outdated MacBook Air

    I have a 2015 model MacBook Air. I'm trying to install Microsoft Office but it says I need at least 10.14 and I have 10.11.6.

    I tried to download 10.15 but it says I need to 10.14. I then tried to download 10.12.6, but that said I needed to download 10.12. Do I have to download every single software update that I missed? Or is there a way to update my MacBook all at once? Or is there a better way for me to download Microsoft Office?

    No IG notifications on a brand new iPhone 12

    So recently I switched from an iPhone 8 to a 12 on Christmas, did the transfer and everything, at first I thought everything was alright, but then I realized that i wasnt getting any instagram notifications, not on the new phone and not even in the old one.

    So I did everything the normal tutorials said, I even logged in on my sister´s phone to check if it was my account, but no, just on both my phones i wasnt getting push on notifications, not even on lockscreen, all settings both on phones and apps are they way they should and I already uninstalled the apps like 6 times since Christmas and no solution

    Does anyone have a similar problem or a way to fix it?

    Upgrading from iPhone 8+ to 12 - apps only partially transferred (AT&T)

    Hi,

    I got a new iPhone 12 Pro today and followed the instructions to transfer data from my old phone to the new one via bluetooth. My apple apps transferred but my non-apple apps did not. Some of them are partially transferred but unusable. I think it stopped when I activated my new phone on AT&T, even though it had told me transfer complete. Is there any way to continue transferring the apps? They are not usable. Or to restart the process?

    Old iPhone 6 Recognizes Charger but Won't Turn On

    I have an old iPhone 6 that I no longer use as a phone but occasionally use as an iPod. After recently finding it dead and plugging it into a charger, it seems to recognize the charger and shows the Red Battery image as if it were charging, but never gains a charge or turns on.

    After trying several chargers, outlets, etc. that work with my other iPhone it still won't turn on, however I've managed to put the device into DFU mode and connect to iTunes on my computer. In iTunes, the option "Check for Update" is greyed out and not selectable, so the only option is "Restore iPhone...".

    Before choosing the Restore option and wiping it clean (have a few pictures that are not backed up which I would prefer not to lose), I wanted to check if there are any other options worth trying to potentially resolve the issue? For example, is there a reason "Check for Update" is greyed out when I connect to iTunes in DFU mode? Realizing that Restoring may be the only option, wanted to ask if anyone has any other suggestions to try beforehand?

    Photos app gained 20gb after iCloud transfer

    Photos went from 8 gb to 28 gb on new phone

    Hi guys,

    So the title says it all. I was on an iPhone 6s Plus for 4 yes before it basically died. It still works but once it's off the charger it dies. So I went out and got an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now I have them both, so I did a cloud transfer and everything was perfect, except the photos. On the 6s it states it's only about 8 gb, and I have about 2000 photos. What's weird is when I was trying to delete them on the 6s a week ago, it would just increase every deletion. Now after transferring from a 32 gb to a 128 gb, the photos are now 28 gb!? Wtf, this can't be right. Is there any help? I don't want to delete everything :(

    access old iMessages

    My mother recently passed away and I want to archive our text conversations from my computer (unless there is an easy way to do this from the phone??). The messages on my computer only go so far back as October, when I got the computer. They go back for years on my phone, though. I have followed the instructions to turn on iCloud for iMessages both on my phone as well as my computer, but I still can't access anything before October on my computer.

    Any tips? Thank you.

    Why are my photos being auto adjusted?

    Every time I take a picture with low exposure, when I open up the image in photos, my iPhone 11 has automatically adjusted the picture to make it brighter, more saturated, and sharper. I intentionally took the picture with low exposure because I wanted it to be a bit dark, but every time I do this and then open it up in photos, it's an edited (and terrible) version of the picture I took.

    How can I stop this??

    **I'd like to add that I have night mode and Smart HDR completely turned off.

    iPhone 12 Mini Has Annoying Yellow Tint. Whites Look Yellowish.

    Anyone else having this issue? I specifically have the iPhone 12 Mini, and I've tried everything recommended with no results. I'm honestly kind pissed now that I've noticed the issue, because the Apple stores are closed where I'm at, and I can't go without a phone. The whites just look so yellowish.

    Edit: I'm apparently not the only one having this problem.

    My girlfriend receives them and my iPad receives them. My phone does not. The Apple TV displays camera streams perfectly. I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't get notifications to my phone.

    iPhone Xr config questions/bugs?

    For those with slim cases, how do you keep the pads of your palms/hands from making ghost touches on the screen with how narrow the bezel is?

    True Tone isn't working on the display even after a factory reset, any secrets on solving?

    HDR isn't saving the normal photo, Smart HDR on or off, doesn't matter.

    It's definitely a big jump from the 8, I definitely like it but it's a challenge to nail down the quirks of the perks.

    iMessage activation failed. (No solution found on the internet works!)

    I cannot activate iMessage on my number. It works by connecting with my email, but doesn't work with my number. I tried every possible solution in the internet and also reseting my device to factory settings, nothing worked.     So my gf accidentally deleted our text conversation. She is very frustrated by this.

    I do not think that she turned Messages on in Icloud

    How can she recover this text chat?

    FYI: I still have everything. Is there a way to export the chat to her?

    Mac Pro crashes every 5-30 min, have tried everything

    a week or so ago i got a refurbished mac (Macbook pro, 15in, mid 2014 with an intel core). Its been crashing since I got it, and I thought I had fixed it for a while, but its been crashing a ton recently. It freezes for about 10 seconds, then it turns off. Its fully updated, ive reset the SMC, the NVRAM, ive checked the disk, ive run a hardware test. Ive looked in the crash reports on the console, there arent any. And i reinstalled MacOS. It seems my mac has only started crashing more frequently after all of this. Tbh, I dont have a ton of money right now (bcause i just spent $900 on this damn thing) and i dont REALLY want to take it in unless i have to. Any ideas on what the problem may be, and how to fix it?

    Anyone have this problem with screen time?

    I added screen time as a widget about a month or two ago. I only have a 1 hour restriction on the Instagram app; everything else is just recorded for screen time.

    I noticed today that the CBS News: Living Breaking News app has taken up (and is continually taking up) time on my phone. The counter is at 21 hours so far. I don't have the CBS app installed. I tracked back to when it started happening- this CBS app has been tracked 24 hours starting Thursday, Jan 14.

    All the devices that are connected to my Apple ID (via settings) are mine. None of the devices are running such an app or web page.

    After some research, I noticed some others have encountered this problem, but the solutions are either irrelevant to me or not enough.

    Anyone know why this is happening?

    Edit: no apps are on Background App Refresh.

    M1 MacBook Pro stuck at login for 2+ hours after finishing transferring previous laptop’s backup from external hard drive

    Transferring from my hard drive through Migration Assistant seemed to go off without a hitch, aside from that my user account name from the backup was identical to my current one. I chose "Keep both user accounts" and to rename the one from the backup. Both "New name" and "User account name" needed to be changed.

    When the backup was complete I saw both user accounts presented at login, chose the newly created one, and have had a pinwheel for 2 hours since then. I can't imagine what else could have caused this issue. The only novelty since was a notification saying "Optimizing your Mac", and another 1.5 hours ago from Time Machine (one that I would typically get at startup) saying that a backup hasn't been performed in x number of days.

    Erase-protection of external HDDs in macOS
