Am I just forced to live with this minimal amount of storage or is there a way to idk, get rid of it? Just recently updated my old iphone 6s from ios 12 (i think) to 14 because i wanted to redownload some old apps that i had accidentally deleted. i know 16 gigs is already not that much but i used to have way more room for more apps before this new update. | iPhone XS Max won’t ping new messages Posted: 01 Dec 2020 10:06 PM PST I posted on r/IPhone but after I submitted I think my post will be deleted since it's meant for news so I thought I send here, it's a copy and paste but any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you. I was wondering if anyone has this issue. I could be texting an other iPhone user and I will get messages like normal and it will notify me. But some times I won't like I will wonder if the other person responded or something, I go into messages to check I see my last message then like a good second, the message just filter through like it was just sent but no ping or anything. Then it kinda acts normal? I will have no issues after that but it would randomly do that. This also happens with notifications. Also note I have an iPad Pro 1st gen and even the iPad won't ping the message as well. Any one has this issue or know of something to fix this? Thanks for any help! | Delete Returned AirPlay Device (Roku TV) Posted: 01 Dec 2020 04:18 PM PST Hi all, I recently purchased a TCL Roku TV that supports AirPlay. I later returned the TV (in favor of a different model). However, the TV I returned still shows up in my list of AirPlay devices on my iPhone (and whenever I try to select it AirPlay says that it can't connect). The TV only show up on my iPhone and not my Mac or iPad. I only ever used AirPlay on the TV with my iPhone and not with my Mac or iPad, so my guess is that's why the TV only shows up on my iPhone. I've tried the following to delete the TV from my iPhone:

| Posted: 01 Dec 2020 12:57 PM PST Father In Law found an iphone on the side of the road a few months ago and gave it to me "to have a look" over the holiday. No idea what model it is but it has 2 cameras on the back so relatively recent I assume. Claims to be running ios 11.0. Anyway, as I look through the phone there are several things that just look off: - There was no appleID on it (so I assume someone wiped it or something like that) - There are misspellings throughout the settings like "App suggestions appear on the lock screen and int the app switcher" - I can't click "create and apple ID" and the sign in page for Apple ID says "Password Require" rather than "Required" - I tried to "Erase All Content and Settings" and when I do, an Android pops up and it says "deleting" then when it boots back up I get a screen that says "Welcome" and then it starts updating on a screen that only says "is starting..." and then downloads 79 things without being connected to the internet - After this screen, I can see that there is an app that looks like a compass or arrow but the text is Japanese. However I would have thought that it would have been scrubbed if it werent a built in app. Any idea what is going on? [link] [comments]  |
| Camera recordings sound muffled Posted: 01 Dec 2020 02:35 PM PST Hi, I'm having issues when I record videos through the camera app. The sound quality is muffled like I'm holding my finger over the microphone, but I'm not. (Only front facing videos). If I record in a different app like Snapchat, the audio quality is fine. Rear facing videos sound fine, as well as voice memos (not sure what microphone is used here). "watching porn bro?" "You might be vulnerable" etc Theres 6 of them in the span of 4 hours. I'm reasonably useful with technology, but I'm not good with iPhones and I'm not familiar with this. | Trouble with videos going into a specific folder automatically Posted: 01 Dec 2020 03:20 PM PST So I use tiktok, and I like to save some inspirational videos to my phone and previously those videos always went into a tik Tok album that was made on its own and whenever I had saved any videos it would go straight to that folder. Though recently I've been adding new videos to it though it's annoying since it doesn't go into that folder and instead into the main photo album, is there a way in the phone settings to change this and change it back to the tik Tok video album? I was a Google Pixel user for about 4 years, and I just switched to a new iPhone 12 Pro. Most people with whom I texted who also have Android devices are NOT able to send me texts to my new phone (I don't see them or receive them). However, I am still getting their texts on my Pixel (even though it's not activated). The Pixel is now completely turned off, and I still can't receive texts from certain Android users. When I'm on messages it constantly is showing the message in the title. I've tried restarting and force closing the app, but it still shows up. | Messages dissapered for a second Posted: 01 Dec 2020 12:26 PM PST One of the imessage conversations i have all the messages just randomly disappeared for a second, i clicked out clicked back in and it's fine. I even scrolled up to the beginning of our conversation back a little over a year ago and it's still all there. I had kind of low storage when this happened, but i deleted lots of unnecessary apps and photos...should i be fine? or should i turn off backup or anything in case? I only have the photos category, I'm trying to go back & find old voice notes, but I cannot search the text history for them and ones i save do not show up anywhere. So basically I was in this group chat with this girl who was obsessed with me and not leaving me alone on private messages and the group chat. So first I left the group chat, then I blocked her number. For some reason, she is able to add me back to the group chat and I can see her texts in there. I've left multiple times too. Double checked just now and her number IS on my blocked list so it's weird that I can see her messages in there... What can I do to prevent this from happening again? | Posted: 01 Dec 2020 07:49 AM PST I had around 30 gigs of downloaded music along with several meticulously made playlists on my iPhone 8. Today I opened my music app to find that all my playlists, and every song that I didn't buy through iTunes (i.e. from CDs or other digital purchases) were gone. Even the songs I did buy through iTunes are all offloaded and need to be redownloaded. Why did this happen, where are my playlists and music, and how do I make this never happen again? I appreciate any help that can be given, this is incredibly frustrating. Lately (last three weeks or so) I've had trouble with some apps randomly quitting while used in the background (Spotify, Nike Running Club are the ones I've noticed).
