For example if I save my google login credentials I just get a normal "G", whereas if I add apple.com I get the website's own logo. For ex, I don't get notifications on my phone or Mac when movement is detected on a camera, because the notification settings are "only send when I'm not home"… and the iPad is always at home. | iPad Pro 2nd Gen - $580 Good Buy Posted: 21 Nov 2020 02:45 PM PST I just picked up an open box 11" iPad Pro 128gb for $580. When I bought it I didn't realize it was a 2nd gen Pro. I'm wondering if this was a good price or if I should return it and grab a new Pro or Air. My usage really is not demanding. Mainly web browsing and reading. I'd probably be OK with a standard iPad, but I don't like the bezels. I'm only worried about the second gen because it's an older cpu and I worry about longevity. This is sort of replacing my 2013 MacBook Pro, so I tend to hold onto devices for 5+ years. A new Pro is $730 at the same store. If it'll last me appreciably longer I don't mind the extra cost. | Magic Keyboard Creaking and Connectivity Issues ? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 01:09 AM PST I have had my magic keyboard for about four months now and im beginning to hear a creaking/clicking noise when i close the top hinge. I have also noticed some problems in the trackpad's connectivity to the ipad (sometimes ill click on a tab in safari and itll somehow carry the tab around and the only way to release the tab is to disconnect the keyboard and ipad). In the four months ive had it, i dont use it frequently since online classes dont really require much typing. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Should I be concerned/bring it to apple? If so, does the magic keyboard have a warranty in which apple can repair/replace it for me? (i dont have apple care) [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 20 Nov 2020 09:52 PM PST This just seems like a product that could be very popular, and with magsafe in the iPhone 12, it just seems strange to me that there's no mount or dock for the iPad using its smart connector in the same way that the magic keyboard does. Something similar to this would be amazing, specially if Apple designed it. A third party could also make a mount/case similar to Belkins new 3 in 1 charging station. Does anyone know why this is? Posted: 21 Nov 2020 06:25 AM PST Hey there, So I have an iPad 6th and I'm getting the 8th now, and a question came to my mind, I have an adapter to use usb-c cables on my iPad and iPhone, which helps me a lot, is it possible to use an usb-c dongle on it as well? I'm asking because maybe some of you already tested this, and since I have only the cheapest thing, buying the dongle and it not working would be really disappointing, since I need to buy it from the US or China and it takes around 2 or 3 months to be delivered. I really wanted to have hdmi connection, sd card, p2, energy slot and maybe ethernet connect (I know it's odd, but I would also use the dongle on my wife's laptop, so the option is there). And I don't believe I am the only one in the market for it... I am looking for an iPad portfolio case (or whatever you want to call it), that allows me to use the iPad without taking it out (strapped in). Now of course this exists in some ways, but as I get more specific with my requirements - and I really don't think I'm having crazy high expectations here - the search results are getting less and less and less until I can not find literally anything worth even considering. So, hoping that someone here maybe knows something that I haven't seen yet or maybe there's even someone who can make a folio like that (tagging r/LeatherClassifieds)... What I'm looking for, starting with some key words: Business, creative, classy, slick, modern, simplistic, essentials Needs to hold: iPad Pro 12.9" (strapped in and ready to use without taking out), pocket for phone, pocket for wallet, pocket for miscellaneous (e.g. external ssd or AirPods, charging cable...), sleeve for documents/passport or similar. iPad should be able to stand up (laptop style). Does not have to be leather. Some interesting finds: Both not too bad, liking the all black real leather. But overall a little to "old school" feel inside and I'm not sure about the actual usefulness of the small pockets. iPad won't stand upright. Nice and modern. Too small. No additional pockets. Nice addition of the phone charger. This one seems pretty close to what I want. There are actually two different versions pictured. Nice addition of phone stand and charger. iPad is not strapped in, not sure how useful the charger actually is (USBc? Fast charging?...). If I can absolutely not find anything else I might, though very unlikely, even consider buying this and adding some corner straps for the iPad myself... [link] [comments]  |
