| Samsung TV, Brand New keeps showing “no signal” for Brand New Apple TV 4k. Posted: 22 Nov 2020 01:43 PM PST I have a brand new tv and apple tv 4k just a day old each. Tried restarting the TV and then tried restarting apple tv via the remote even though holding down the buttons doesn't do anything. Tried holding down the power button for 30 seconds three times now and nothing. Still doesn't want to recognize it. It worked the first time but with a glitch. Honestly for $190 doesn't seem all that worth given issues on day 1, so might just return it and use the smart apps on the TV. Also, the apple tv is just flashing and that remote home and screen button hold doesn't do anything for me. Has anyone else had the same problem or have any ideas or solutions?? I've uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, even signed the Apple TV in and out of iTunes (per some old support threads I found). Anyone know of a solution? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 22 Nov 2020 08:52 PM PST I have Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K. I added another user, who is NOT part of family sharing so that we could have our own UP NEXT/WHAT TO WATCH...however it's not changing for each user. The default user is mine, and all my library content and viewing history carries over when we switch users. Am I missing something? I've deleted both users Added them in alternate order Reset the Apple TV's and started fresh Any help is appreciated. Thanks [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple TV and LG CX Port Name Bug Posted: 22 Nov 2020 12:35 PM PST Just received my LG 65CX and hooked it up to my Apple TV through the Hue Sync Box. I have a strange bug where it seems that the TV has labelled the port the name of the Apple TV and there's no way to change this through the TV menus, the HDMI port it's plugged into cannot be modified. If I unplug the Apple TV I can modify the name of the port, soon as I plug it back in changes to the name of the Apple TV. Control TV and Receivers is off in settings. Anyone seen anything like this before? Only rectification I can think of is naming the Apple TV "Hue Switch". Not ideal but names need to be simple as while I'll know what each port is I can't expect everyone else to know what "Bedroom" as a port name means. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Apple TV on an Hitachi TV (Android) Posted: 22 Nov 2020 06:12 AM PST Hi. I hope this is okay to post here. The rules seem pretty simple. I'm trying to buy a tv online. The best quality in my price range is a Hitachi but it's an Android TV. I have an Apple TV box and have used it for years and would like to continue doing so. My (perhaps dumb) question is whether there would be any incompatibility with plugging it into the Android TV? I'm assuming not but I've never used a smart tv, let alone and Android tv I'd like to avoid any problems. I have googled like crazy and all I get are sites about getting the Apple TV app onto Android TVs. Thanks for any help. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Apple TV restricting explicit content with restrictions off Posted: 22 Nov 2020 09:19 AM PST My Apple TV is not allowing me to play explicit content in Spotify app. I tried two accounts with explicit content allowed in Spotify's settings. I restarted my Apple TV. I tried toggling the restriction in Apple TV settings. I restarted the apps. I cannot get any explicit content to work. It worked fine yesterday before bed and I didn't see any evidence that my software had auto-updated. Has anyone had this problem?
