- If I own a Samsung Smart TV that has AirPlay and Netflix and Apple TV app, would there still be a need to buy an Apple TV? Like is it possible to do audio sharing between two AirPods on Apple TV? Any other benefits?

| AppleTV 4K will not update to 14.2 Posted: 07 Nov 2020 02:04 PM PST I've tried to force the update via Settings but it won't complete. I've "restarted" the box at least 15 times. I've turned auto update on and off as well. Any ideas? Edit: I also do not have the sound wave icon for the new intercom feature in the home app. [link] [comments]  | ||

I have a Samsung tv, Apple TV, Yamaha receiver, lots of built in speakers. All controlled by the Samsung remote. Does anyone know if the harmony Logitech can be programmed to open specific apps on Apple TV? Like, when the TV is off, my spouse or kids can press a button on the remote for Sling TV or HBO max? | Disney+ movies don’t stay in Up Next Posted: 07 Nov 2020 10:30 AM PST Is this happening to anyone else? If I watch a movie on Disney+ and stop watching it will show up in Up Next like normal. But after an hour or so it will go away and I have to go to the Disney+ app to continue from where I left off. This has been going on for a few weeks for me on all Apple devices. It's not a huge deal, but annoying. I always prefer to use the TV app rather than dig through other apps. [link] [comments]  | ||

First : my Apple TV will consistently become unpaired from my soundbar for wireless control ( controlling volume from remote app off iPhone and not using infrared). Anyone run into this and how did they fix it Second : my soundbar will turn on with Apple TV being woken up but my tv does not and when I shut off Apple TV it will turn soundbar off but not TV. | Apple TV 4k game suggestions for my nine year old? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 11:39 AM PST Hi everybody. this question may be a little different. Hopefully some of you will have some recommendations... I recently purchased an Apple TV 4k. I want to load it up with games from the app store for my nine year old. (I'm not doing an Apple Arcade subscription quite yet.) I'm looking for appropriate game recommendations. What makes this a bit different is that I'm blind. I lost my sight when I was a teen. I had played Nintendo and Sega Genesis but haven't been able to play mainstream games since losing my sight as they are not accessible with Voiceover. (Which is a real drag because I know I'm missing out on some awesome stuff from what I've heard!) I want to find games for him that are fun, look cool, but have minimal to no violence. So no Street fighter, Mortal Kombat, Doom, stuff like that. (Yeah, that's really dated I know but I'm just going by what I played.) I know the gaming landscape has changed a ton but as I can't see any of it, I feel a bit lost. Anyways, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. [link] [comments]  | ||
| Lost Airplay2 outputs in iOS 14.2 Posted: 07 Nov 2020 04:41 AM PST Hi y'all did anyone lose output options in the ATV 4K after the Update to 14.2? I use the ATV to play Sirius, Spotify, Apple Music to the audio in the living room, to HomePod pair in the dining room and another Apple TV in the home office. Well, I used to do that. It's doesn't see any other outputs in the Settings/Audio & Video/Default Audio except for the TV itself. I can still use the iPad on 14.2 to output to all rooms. So I have a workaround, but this is definitely not working like it did. It can't be a networking thing, because the iPad sees everything...any ideas? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Does the WiFi go bad on the AppleTV 4K? Posted: 07 Nov 2020 10:08 AM PST My AppleTV 4K is about 3 1/2 years old and it has started randomly buffering in the past couple of months. Sometimes I can watch a whole 4K movie sometimes I only get about five minutes at a time. My WiFi speeds are 200+ Mbps down and 11 Mbps up. I've restarted it multiple times and even reset to factory default. Short of running Ethernet, which my house doesn't have currently, is there something I have missed? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 07 Nov 2020 05:28 AM PST Hey everyone, So I am currently running a Sony X900H, an Apple TV4k, and a Sonos Beam with 2 One's in surround config and have been noticing some serious audio delay. This is weird, because the I have never had problems with my set up causing audio sync when using my Apple TV4k before (my Xbox One S on the other hand..), and it is fixed by restarting the Apple TV. I have already tried to reset back to stock, but the problem keeps coming back. Anyone else have this problem and fixed it? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Apple TV app on my new iMac 2019 is only in French months after it was working fine and in English. Posted: 07 Nov 2020 10:33 AM PST What happened and how do I change it back? So to explain, I bought a new iMac April or may ish, got a year free of Apple TV+ and everything was working great. It was in English I could watch Ted lasso as well as defending Jacob, some decent shows on there. Anyways, so for months it was working fine, now for the last two months or so every time I open the Apple TV app everything description wise is in French yet the movie or show plays in English... there is absolutely no way to fix it or change the language as far as I have tried just about everything. Tried to type language in the drop down help bar and apparently apple has 0 input on language through out the entire app or search... nothing comes up. I live in Canada, I have it set to Canadian English, not French... no matter what I do tho, cannot change the menu to English. Someone please explain to me wtf is going on and how to fix it. Very frustrating not knowing what I'm picking as I suck at speaking French. Thanks for your time and hopefully someone has an answer as I'm blown away there isn't an obvious option in the app to change the language. Damn apple dropping the ball on that one...
