The magsafe charger is not at all what apple portrayed it to be Posted: 06 Nov 2020 10:35 AM PST I've spent around $50 for the magsafe charger and the 20W power brick. However it charges painfully slow on my iPhone 12 pro, far from what a 15W charger should be. Also it isn't convinient at all as the cable is short as hell plus it feels really heavy when you hold it as it charges. This isn't what Apple marketed it to be. Edit: Thank you all for your opinions, as many of you suggested to return it, it's sad that I'm in Hong Kong, where the only reason for returning a product is if it's faulty, which isn't my case. Posted: 06 Nov 2020 11:00 AM PST Upon hearing about App Library I was really excited to use it to reduce the clutter on my home screen and keep most of my apps in the AL. Turns out it pretty much sucks.
The lone bright spot in the App Library however is the recently added folder. Because you click to expand it and what is essentially an app drawer is laid out before you. That is what App Library should have been. Imagine you could swipe right from the home screen to the app drawer and your apps are filed in alphabetical order, all the same size. It would even eliminate the need for the search bar in AL. I just feel like Apple really dropped the ball here and ended up outthinking themselves, what do you think? [link] [comments]

iPhone 12 Pro HDR Video Sent in Text to Non-12 Isn't Viewable Posted: 06 Nov 2020 11:00 AM PST Just a heads up, I sent a video with my 12 Pro to my family (all 11 or below), and it appeared as a bright teal video. Solid color. They could hear the audio, but no video. So I had to take it into FCP-X, adjust exposure, export as SDR, then they can see it. TL;DR: unless you need it, remove the default HDR Video function if you want to share videos with non-12 users. EDIT: Some are saying the teal video isn't because of HDR. That may be, but it was still bad in FCPX and I had to color correct. Not convenient for simple family videos or something like that that are being compiled. [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Nov 2020 09:18 AM PST I asked a variation of this question some time back and although there was a decent amount of conversation about it, no consensus was ever reached. If I am listening to Apple Music, or Pandora, or any other 3rd party service that the HomePod officially supports, via its app on my iPhone and then I AirPlay that audio to the HomePod, is that audio then being streamed from the cloud to the HomePod, or is it being streamed from the cloud to my phone and then to the HomePod (like a Bluetooth speaker would)? Can someone definitively answer this? [link] [comments]

Australia. Available keyboard cases for new ipad Air, 4th generation? Posted: 06 Nov 2020 08:16 PM PST
Posted: 06 Nov 2020 08:30 AM PST So iOS 14 was supposed to roll out with privacy options to block advertisers from tracking users across apps. Apparently users would now get a pop-up saying "x app would like permission to track you, allow tracking or Ask app not to track". Now the web says that this update was postponed, but I already get this message on my iPad Pro 2020. Does this mean that iPads already have this feature with the new update or is this not part of the said 'Privacy Protections" postponed from this year, rolling out in 2021? [link] [comments] |
