My wife is a teacher and not it appears she may have lost all her lesson plans as she thought she was using Time Machine but she can't even access that HDD. It's the only form of communication I have with my relatives in China at the moment. Has anyone had issues with the update? Furthermore, I've been having trouble connecting my airpods (airpod pro) to my phone ever since the update popped up. Has anyone had trouble with this as well? | Unable to download the original full resolution photo from iCloud.com Posted: 25 Nov 2020 05:17 PM PST I like many others have "Optimize iPhone Storage" setting enabled on my device. I'm trying to download the full resolution photo but for some odd reason, when I click the small down arrow on iCloud.com and download the photos, as "Unmodified Original" and "Most Compatible" download, they are the exact same size and dimensions. Both are 4,855,114 bytes (4.9 MB on disk) with 3024 × 4032 dimensions. When I send the photo from my iPhone via email to my PC it then downloads as 2,174,490 bytes (2.9 MB on disk) with 3024 × 4032 dimensions. All these photos are also only saved as JPEG. I read this post but it doesn't sound consistent with what I'm seeing In addition, I can't seem to download a HEIC file either similar to this post, it just defaults to JPEG every time https://www.reddit.com/r/iCloud/comments/i0v0o7/how_to_download_full_resolution_images_from/ Anyone else have anything else I should try? Posted: 25 Nov 2020 08:59 PM PST I have an iPhone 11 (128GB / ~100GB used up) It was completely fine before IOS 14, after updating i slowly noticed how hot my phone always gets. Specially noticeable after playing graphics intensive/ online games. Summer also started about the same time as I updated in the place where i live, could that really affect the temperature of the phone? (This seems highly unlikely, Since don't live on a dessert and neither does it get that hot here.) The battery health has also gone down to 90%, which I don't blame IOS 14 since i use the 18W adapter and charge my phone often. [link] [comments]  |

I have an old iPhone 6s Plus that I don't really use anymore, but I keep it around as I do all my old phones. The screen had been messed up for awhile now making me unable to use it so I kept it off for months. I finally took it in today to get the screen fixed in order to get on the phone. The screen was fixed, everything was working with touch, only problem is the passcode. The phone is suddenly showing a 6 digit passcode instead of the usual 4 digit code that I know. I am also not able to use the Touch ID, because it had been turned back on after many months of rest it requires my passcode in order to use it. If you have any solution to this problem please let me know. I don't want to restore the phone to a "brand new" one. [link] [comments]  |

| iPhone XS poor performance ever since iOS 14 Posted: 25 Nov 2020 06:35 PM PST Longtime 6s user, recently upgraded to my dream phone, the XS last June. I was pretty adamant about maintaining battery health, hence why I stuck with my damn resilient 6s for so long. 20-80 rule, never discharged, never charged overnight, unused while charging 50% of the time, light tasks such as texts and background music the other 50%. Come time to update to iOS 14 and the problems just start pouring in, expectedly of course with a new OS and all but my God. I have NEVER experienced problems this severe and battery drain this insane on a new OS. I could care freely achieve ~10 hours of moderate SOT during the last few waves of iOS 13, fast forward to now and I am lucky to achieve even half of that on a good day. Battery health started dropping FAST, I've performed multiple restores, DFU, as news, resets, every possible thing besides getting a new battery to try and counteract this to no avail. I feasibly managed to maintain a healthy 100% of health the first 2.5 months with my device until iOS 14 rolled out and despite practicing common battery health tips which weren't any inconvenience to me the health just started dropping like flies. I can't help but just bite my nails staring at my battery unsure of what to do, I'm more than willing to get a battery replacement just I'm not sure I should so soon and especially since I'm tight expendable income without a job due to this pandemic and all. On top of all of this now I'm sure we're all well aware of the major issues surrounding iOS 14.2 rn haha. I'm not super butthurt about my phone right now but man it sucks, I'd be lying if I said I'm not constantly checking my battery life every 10 minutes now feeling pretty bummed out and seeing it's dropped by like 5% from me just texting my girlfriend who likely hasn't even received the notification because of 14.2 lmao. Idk man it just sucks, curious if anybody else is experiencing similar issues. To top it all off my keyboard is making my screen flicker every time it comes up, having some flicker issues in the YouTube app as well. | M1 Mac Mini Initial Setup - Can't See Keyboard Posted: 25 Nov 2020 06:23 PM PST Hi all, Just got a new M1 Mac Mini to replace my dead 2014 Mini. Trying to do the initial setup of the machine but it doesn't detect my "Apple Keyboard With Numeric Keypad" (the wired one). It's stuck at "to pair a bluetooth keyboard, turn it on and wait for your computer to connect to it." I have confirmed this keyboard works on my Macbook and on a PC as well. However the new Mac doesn't see it at all, tapping the caps lock key doesn't toggle the LED on the key on and off, as if the keyboard is not even getting power. This is a genuine Apple keyboard, so I'm a little dumbfounded it doesn't just work. Any ideas? I can't get past this screen. I don't have another keyboard available to connect. Thanks in advance. Posted: 25 Nov 2020 02:25 PM PST I can't really upload a screenshot for this, because I need WiFi and it decided to log me out on all email addresses, on every single app I have, except SnapChat and TikTok. Whenever I go into iMessage it says "An error occurred and your account is signed out of iMessage". And whenever I try to sign back in it either says "Verification failed" or "IF you are signing in to iCloud on another device or at iCloud.com , you can get a verification code while offline". Does this mean that someone else has been trying to log into my iCloud or did I just goof something up? [link] [comments]  |

I never saw any working solution to this online and was hoping reddit can help. I don't have the option 'true tone' in settings.
